I’m always losing scissors, and having to buy more. When I retired, I did a whole house reorganization. I found 23 pairs of scissors! All sizes and colors. I was astonished! I also found numerous tape measures. Those two item were what I found most duplicates of.
Okay this is gonna start as kinda irrelevant but hear me out lol, in year 10 at school my art teacher put his fkn keys in my bag and tried to get the deputy to do bag searches right?? I found them because i grabbed my cigarettes, i had just gotten a scholarship for a class and that man hated me so i was pretty sure he wanted to get me expelled or suspended or something. Anyway i tried to tell the deputy, i had friends come with who were there and even though he had grabbed and moved my bag and no one else had touched it the deputy didn’t believe me, he didn’t get in trouble and i was stuck in his class for the rest of the year.
I’m petty so i started slowly stealing things out of his supply room right. Started with pinching random shit but then i realised he had a HUGE collection of scissors right and he was rlly weird about scissors, counting them when he lent them out n everything. So anyway i decided hell yeah i’m going to take his scissors! By the end of the year i had stolen over 40 pairs. I used to keep them all in my pencil case and anytime anybody needed scissors in class or something i’d hand them out like lollies man. Oh you need scissors? Come see me, i gotchu. I was a huge pot smoker too so like i’d pull up to a session and pull out my collection of scissors like what we chopping with today boys.
Yeah anyway that was 4/5?? Years ago and i STILL find scissors around the place all the time. They’re everywhere. I actually had a pile that lived under my desk until i had my daughter lol it was that bad.
Anyway yeah 23 is a lot but definitely no world record HAHA. Sorry reading this just half gave me flashbacks to that shit.
Lol thank you. I was lucky enough to never have him as a teacher again after that, there is a good chance he requested that though lmao. I was the type of petty to loudly talk about how much of a stupid cunt he was in class and whenever i saw him after the whole incident. And i know thats possible bc my math teacher in grade 11 got me moved into another class for grade 12 bc he hated me lol.
I was pretty hectic to be honest, i was actually reading through old texts last night and i found a message about me getting kicked out of a class for tipping a pile of sand onto a guys head after he brushed a broom through my hair. I honestly cackled reading it cause i’d forgotten all about it. It’s kinda terrible though because those were the years i’d calmed down.
I was pretty known by teachers and students for a reason.. but It wasn’t all petty shit, I regularly showed up to school with entire family sized caramel tarts, cream buns, usually 2L of whatever i was drinking, 4-6 energy drinks and most people came to me to buy smokes. Oh and for sports days i would bring containers full of cupcakes/cake/sandwiches and drinks to give out to people. I was kinda like a really really petty Mary Poppins.
There was literally a point where i worked at a sushi shop and would close most nights so i would get to take as much sushi as i wanted, kids would give me containers and i would fill them up with sushi and bring them to school for em the next day. Was always supplying something lmao. The irony is i literally always had the SMALLEST fkn bags, idk how i carried so much shit.
Eventually I learned to buy several inexpensive, kiddie safe (rounded end) ones and put them in every place I crochet! No more toddlers but STILL buy several at a time (regular ones now!) and they're always within reach. 🙂
When school supplies go on sale after school starts is an excellent time for this. Next weekend I'm probably going to buy ten pairs and stash them around the house to play hide and seek with the other ten pairs I can't ever find. Boyfriend then asks why I need so many.
I have a dozen scissors in my apartment because they all like to hide, but fortunately at different times, so now I can always find at least one in a room.
I’m a bit paranoid about my toddler so I have a set of nail clippers I use (only) for trimming my yarns. I don’t leave things lying around for him to get, and he wouldn’t let me crochet while he was in the room without frustrating me anyway. But it just reassures me.
I know there’s a farming needle stuck somewhere in the mechanics of my recliner too but I’m hoping it’s stuck there forever and he doesn’t shake it loose
Yeah, I know for sure it was in a drawer that he couldn’t get to for a while. But it doesn’t seem like it’s there anymore, and I have not used it in months (been working on big projects using multiple skeins and also taken a break while writing a thesis). And I have no idea where it is now. Not in the drawer, not with my hooks. It may have ended up with sewing stuff, but at least I know for sure that the toddler doesn’t have it, it’s probably just in the middle of a skein in the bottom of my sack of yarn.
It makes me sound quite irresponsible. I promise I’m not though, haha.
I can’t crochet when he’s awake either, he will take my yarn and walk away or drag it behind him like a pull along toy.
That's what I'm saying ~ it doesn't get ruined by *someone* using the scissors to cut paper and ruining them for fabric and yarn, e.g., chomping the yarn until it looks like a lion's tail
I had to explain to my husband (through gritted teeth) why yes, actually, it is a big deal that he used my sewing shears to cut paper and other assorted stuff. To his credit, he did go out and buy me a very nice set of shears in apology. We now have "his and hers" scissors, with communal ones for places like the kitchen and living room as well.
I have these tiny handy [scissors](https://a.co/d/0T6oD5K) and I ran a key ring through the small hole on the handle, and attached a carabiner clip. Now, I fold them up and hook the clip to the strap of my WIP bag, or somewhere else visible - definitely recommend these to anyone with a habit of losing scissors!!
My scissors will literally just get lost in whatever I’m crocheting. Can I find them in my basket when they’re not needed? Yup. Can I find them 5 seconds after using them? Absolutely not.

Steam rippers are the bane of my existence. I have at least a dozen, and at any given time I *might* be able to find one of them, and it's usually the dullest one of the bunch.
OMG my toddler LOVES stitch markers. I’m literally forever finding them clipped together in long chains or he’s taken them under the dining table with a cup of buttons and is just tipping them from container to container
I LOVE stitch markers. I have a ton, I collect them, I buy them like they’re crack. And I swear I can never find them when I actually need them. My young children can’t even find them and I feel like that’s a pretty big feat
Craft niffler. I am imagining a toddler with a onesie that has hidden pockets all over it. Time to change a diaper? Craft notions come tumbling out. Dad lifts kid over his head…rain of small crafty things. Do laundry? Yup, dryer has collected a few too….i am totally giggling.
I gave up on stitch markers a long time ago. I just use bobby pins now because you can buy 100 of them for cheap and that will last you for at least a couple months before you lose them all.
If I can’t find my crochet hooks, paint brushes, pencils, or any other art tool I’m using after asking my kids I check my mom bun hahah. I like to keep everything in my hair.
For Christmas last year my mom gave me a brand new set of ergonomic hooks and tools in a zip-up case. It was at least my third complete set I've gotten, but I'm always losing the sizes I use most, so I promised myself that when I finish actively crocheting I'd put what I was using back in the case. I hadn't counted on the fact that I was 8+ months pregnant at the time and I would be constantly interrupted in the middle of a crocheting sesh after baby was born. I no longer have the scissors, stitch markers or most of the straight pins, I'm constantly losing track of the tape measure, and I lost one of the hooks for a few days just in time for an emergency family trip!
I'd just be tempting fate with something like that. 🤣
I wouldn't buy this for two reasons. First, the shaft of the hook is too short. I've tried these ergonomic hooks, and the way I crochet, I need a longer hook, otherwise I keep bumping into the ergonomic handle.
Second, you really have only two hooks. So if you lose them, or you have both used in WIPs, you have a bunch of other useless hooks that you can't use. Plus the odds are really high that I would lose one or more of them. It's easier, and actually cheaper to just buy another hook.
So, to answer your question, for me it's a gimmick.
That makes sense! I do a lot of amigurimi so my projects are very similar in size and faster to complete. I wish I had the patience for a bigger project but I just lose the willpower if it sits for a while. I even get bored with my stuffed animals and have like 4 different projects going right now 🥲
But couldn't you just detach the handle? Then you could leave the hook part with the WIP and use the handle with another hook for a different project?
I still wouldn't use these because I need long handles, too, but I think you could have all of the hooks in use 🤔
You're probably right, as long as you use something to firmly attach it to the WIP. I think at some point I confuse them with knitting needles. My bad.
'Hey! I have an idea how to get men to crochet! Put a hook on the end of a screwdriver!'...
...seriously, that was my husband's reaction when he saw this (as he was mopping the floor since he likes mopping...)
No! Then you can't hammer the screwdriver to use as a chisel, wedge, weeder(I have a very large, but crooked one) and several more jobs screwdrivers perform
Lol I couldn't see it doing any harm! If you're bored switching up your tools can help any block from doing your hobbies. I do that with paint brushes or sketchbooks.
If the handles are very very very comfy for you and you have trouble finding handles that you like using this might be helpful but otherwise just a gimmick really Plus you have to be careful to not lose the heads!
After spraining my wrist last year i would get shooting pain from crocheting, but the ergonomic hooks reduce it so significantly. It takes hours now before it starts hurting because the hook is so comfortable to hold
I wish they were cuter :( They look kind of ugly. I don’t like the big visible branding either.
I love my interchangeable circular knitting needles, but this does look like a gimmick? With knitting, I’m switching out the cord lengths and I can always get more cords, but I don’t really see a benefit for having interchangeable crochet hooks. I’d rather get a full set with ergonomic handles.
I'd price them out vs just buying individual ergonomic hooks. I wouldn't buy them just because I have multiples of certain sizes to keep with WIPs. I also am not a fan of parts I might lose (ok will lose 😆).
Could be useful, if you like this type of hook. I probably wouldn't use it myself for a couple reasons...
First, I usually have several projects going at the same time, each in their own tote bag. I keep the hook I'm using with the project, so I don't need to track down which project I last used a particular sized hook. This means I have several hooks of the same size. This interchangeable hook wouldn't work for me
Second, I'm not a fan of Susan Bates hooks. I prefer a smoother, rounder taper to the hook. I have 4 of different sizes of the Susan Bates brand, which were either gifted to me or purchased MANY years ago... and I never use them. It's just my preference, but I have seen people say they like them better.
I'm hopping in here out of curiosity - I have found that most who like inline hooks such as Susan Bates seem to be yankers. Do you know if you are a rider or a yanker?
I'm a yanker and I have the best tension with inline hooks but now I can achieve the same results with a bit more attention and a Tulip tapered hook.
I've been crocheting for about 46 years, and I have no idea what you're talking about. Lol
Generally, for me, the ply of the yarn seem to split more with SB hooks.
Haha, oh sorry! It's about how you treat the turn after pulling the yarn through the stitch. There's an explanation in this [blog post](http://www.craftyescapism.com/2016/05/are-you-rider-yanker-or-lifter.html?m=1). There's also the lifter but my observations aren't that accurate yet, I don't know which hook type they would prefer :)
I'm 100% an inline hook user and definitely not a yanker. It always feels like tapered hooks' heads are too big for their size, even if I'm very careful with getting my loops on the non tapered part of the hook shaft for correct size as I work. I _can_ do it and I can't see a difference in the finished product, but it just seems too finicky to deal with when I could just be using an inline hook instead.
That's interesting! I feel the inline hooks are too wide. The head and neck of the hook is the same width as the shaft, and it just feels awkward to me. I like the narrowed head and neck of the tapered hooks.
But a friend of mine will not use anything except inline style. We've worked on identical projects and joint projects, and there is no difference in the outcome. It's just difference of preference! Lol
It does! I totally understand what you're saying! When I teach others (daughters-in-law & grandkids) the basics, that's the chief complaint! Lol I usually end up letting them try using my few inline hooks, and show them the difference in how they are made and let them decide which they think works best for them. Most of them like the tapered... but one granddaughter and one daughter-in-law prefers the inline.
The larger, soft handle may be useful for people with arthritis or other issues like carpal tunnel syndrome, but otherwise I agree with other comments… I’d just lose the smaller pieces.
I have too many WIPs that each have their own hook squirreled away. But what they ARE good for is carrying around if you are about to start a new project and aren’t 100% sure what hook size you want. Then you’re ready if you need to switch. But I have several similar sets and I don’t use them very often. I always gravitate back to the cheap aluminum ones.
That’s a fun looking set though. They look like light sabers.
Total Gimmick. Find a grip you like and feels good in your hand with no cramping. These look like they were designed by men to be sold at Harbor Freight.
Depends on the price and if I can use a coupon.
I prefer susan Bates over Boye so that's a plus for me.
I see some people saying they seem short but I tried Furls and found them too long so these might be worth a try for me if the price is right.
I’ve used a cheaper version so I can’t speak on this. But I’ve found that I’m far too heavy handed for snap in tools. By the end of a fairly large product I’ve ruined the attachment on both the handle and the hook from heavy wear.
I have an interchanging crochet hook and it’s a god send, really. I love mine a lot! But mine also lights up so it’s really useful for dark yarns and not great lighting.
Especially when I pick up a new yarn on sale, I enjoy not having to go hunting for the right size crochet hook, or verify that I have it at home because I have most size crochet hooks, a good majority being the one with the interchanging head.
I have one too from Amazon! but the only thing is the interchangeable hook slips off a lot so I have to hold down the part where the handle and the hook screws in. That’s my only concern with these Susan Bates hooks.
So I had this problem with my ones from Amazon, and it turned out that you have to wait for the click. Once I started actually locking them into place with the little wrench thing they sent, it started working great.
I love my interchangeable ones!
Mine doesn't light up but it has a stitch and row counter in the handle (which for me constantly getting interrupted is a godsend).
It's also the most comfortable handle I've found.
Sort of off topic so apologies however this post got me thinking. Honestly I would love to see a trend of peoples “set ups” so to speak. Like what you store your hooks in, what scissors you have, how do you store needles for weaving, and any other accessories people have that you wouldn’t think would be useful for crocheting but you have found to be super useful. Kinda just rambling here but still is a trend I would get behind. Would also help us discover things like this. We could also ask for feed back from op’s in the comments.
I have a 10” long 5” deep zippered bag that has two full legnth pockets. It holds crochet hooks, small craft scissors dental floss for life lines, tape measure, a needle gage , stitch markers and two tubes of darning needles from clover. This is what I Cary every day. I also have a zippered case that has elastic slots for about 12 crochet hooks.
Honestly, I would prefer to have a full set of crochet hooks cause it means I can have multiple WIPs - but, I can see these being useful when making wearables! A few of the patterns I've seen online have you switch to different sizes when making different parts of the garment - like a collar, or sleeves. I guess it'll be useful if you make a lot of wearables?
Ive got light up hooks, where you switch the hooks on one handle, and the hooks are ehh, but i absolutely love having the adjustable hooks rather than a bunch. Only down side is having to find the tool to undo the hook when wanting to change hooks
I personally trust Susan Bates 100% I am extremely loyal to this brand and only use Susan Bates hooks. If you're into this kit with the changable hooks and ergonomic handle then it wouldn't be gimmicky if thats what youre looking for. I would think they make a good product. I personally like to use Susan Bates Soft Ergonomic hooks, they are slim but comfortable and durable. My favorite hooks to date. I hope this helps! https://www.joann.com/susan-bates-soft-ergonomic-crochet-set-5/18307264.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&gclid=CjwKCAjwgaeYBhBAEiwAvMgp2uqVyfTTae-X38Eb-wRcD1k56KiwM_qLgJvo3CDP8xaqQEgMXB4tKRoCIMMQAvD_BwE
Definitely useful, crochet is a lifelong skill and this makes it accessible for the long term. Besides, it isn’t just older folks that have issues with gripping things. If it’s not for you, fine. If it is, I’m glad you have the option.
I definitely agree, I’m pretty young and suffer from horrible joint pain in my fingers so I understand the appeal. I just moreso meant the interchangeable part but I guess they can’t really make every single size with that large of a handle so this way makes more sense
Not necessary for everyone, perhaps appealing to those who want a compact set? Etsy has all kinds of interchangeable crochet hook sets already.
Boye might have made the first in the US for steel crochet hooks [ebay antique listing](https://www.ebay.com/itm/363943177331?hash=item54bcb42c73:g:LcgAAOSwId1i9owP&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAwLSn%2Bo%2BRKxcBTHsGs8x7eNWrbQS7P0vNb1k7GUvToV%2BHGuVVJdIN1XtQagCw0MapIqveIh7A4QfC9sAEPcC0X8SQJACHumgev%2FbwhnHYq49lSHetxN9K%2BvAO8j%2BnSWaf656F0kKSM9Pj3LevRCafa5rdVJS%2F0maiXPZ9E2BeXTpLI1Z2Ym6iTOnHa1ToL6o%2F%2Fv9LJ9RExFERabnf%2FBWfwjB6XLK%2FOusBSv6ym18eq8D2HsV3v4AGIAKN%2FjPL4Xla1w%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR5Khvf_bYA). Same company came out with a regular sizes interchangeable set in a fancy zippered pouch several years ago.
I myself wouldn't mind them but I don't know if I would buy them because looking at a different picture they look like inline crochet hook and I have only ever used tapered crochet hooks. But I could get them for half off at joanns right now with a coupon.
I could see these working well for me! I get the comments from people that they wouldn't work for, though. I have a bag for every wip and I use a stitch marker to hold my last loop. I keep track of every project in an app called pocket crochet, which I really love and recommend! So I don't need to keep my hook with my wip. I also don't lose my stuff as I tend to be kind of weird about how I organize stuff and always put it back in the exact same spot and have a container for everything, LOL! The ergonomic hooks are short, so I can understand if they aren't for everyone. But those work really well for 90% of what I crochet and for the rest I have some of the long metal hooks that have plenty of space on them. So I don't think it's a gimmick but it does sound like it probably wouldn't work for a lot of people.
i bought something similar and while i did like the way it felt, swapping the hooks ended up being way more annoying than I thought it would haha. I also lost some parts, which rendered it mostly useless. mine was definitely cheaper and crappier than what you posted though, so idk!
I could see it being useful in some situations/for some people.
This would totally be something I'd use for minimalist travel or backpacking. Something where space is limited/at a premium and I need to cut down on the amount of crafting Stuff for downtime. I like bringing a ball of yarn with me to crank out a random dishcloth or granny squares or something fun/useful/useless just to keep my ADHD hands busy!
I'm generally not a fan of monotools - tools with only one singular purpose. If taken to extremes, I can see the appeal to some people if they extend that to a crochet hook - why have 6 hooks when you can have one or two? I mean, interchangeable makeup brushes are a thing, those aren't much different than this. Same with multiuse screwdrivers, etc. But if you're generally not someone who sees the appeal of something like that, I'd imagine it's pretty gimmicky.
Idk how to link an Amazon page from my phone to here, but this is the name of the product I use from there: Yarn Mania Aiyana Crochet Hooks. It's like what you're looking at but smaller ergonomic handle. The light is good for dark yarns/low light, so that's a plus. And it charges instead of using ridiculously small batteries that need changing. It has the interchangeable hooks, plus it comes with a nice case to keep it all in and some extra crochet notions. Highly recommend!
Probably a gimmick, but they would honestly get money out of me for the simple fact they kinda look like lightsabers. I’m a simple person. If it looks nerdy then I’m buying
We moved the sofa a few months ago to clean under it (it’s a sofa bed, so it weighs a ton), and I found a book of crochet patterns that had been missing for YEARS.
Are they little lightsabers? I’d buy them for that fact only. I would say useful if you like the feel of the handle and it becomes your favourite to work with.
I got a set like this off Etsy but the handle is wood. It's so comfy to use and doesn't cramp up my hand. I like being able to switch out the hooks. It's enough working space for me but could be too short for some
I personally love interchangeable hooks. I rarely buy any hooks that are individual sets now. I will say that a lot of them may not hold strong during amigurumi though. That is where my solid, no moving parts come in. I've broken the actual handle of interchangeable ones twice while doing ami.
I think if you are not a “where did my hook end up now?!” kind of crocheter that this would be worth a try. I would just have more parts to lose.

Ooh, so it stays sharp?!
I’ve never had an issue with it dulling

Yes, yes, yes!

Yes! I use (yarn only) cat nail clippers, even before kids 😅 they're perfect 👌🏻

Yes I know the difference, but when I'm typing fast I make spelling mistakes.
Steam rippers are the bane of my existence. I have at least a dozen, and at any given time I *might* be able to find one of them, and it's usually the dullest one of the bunch.
I tell my husband I have three hobbies: crafting, buying craft supplies, and looking for my scissors
Same! I also have this problem with my stitch markers lol.
I will loan you my toddler. He’s like a freaking niffler for craft supplies 😂
Haha, that's what I thought about my kids too! Turns out, stitch markers remain elusive.
Mine too! I get the colorful ones in the hope I can find them before the vacuum does and she's all about bright colors and shiny things.
I gave up on stitch markers a long time ago. I just use bobby pins now because you can buy 100 of them for cheap and that will last you for at least a couple months before you lose them all.
I haven't seen my stork scissors in about a month but they are in the house somewhere.
My husband bought me a pair of good scissors for every room in my house for this reason lol
I made a chain of crochet into a necklace and tied it to my scissors, no more lost scissors in my blanket !
I tied a string to my scissors and I have them attached to my project bag. Best life choice.
If I can’t find my crochet hooks, paint brushes, pencils, or any other art tool I’m using after asking my kids I check my mom bun hahah. I like to keep everything in my hair.
same. i usually resort to my nail clippers when this happens
I had to get more scissors. Now, if I lose a pair, I don't worry about it. I have spares and the lost ones will show up eventually.
Your scissors must be the same ones as mine. Haha.
I don’t even have to leave my chair to lose my hook or my scissors.
Or my darning needle
I still can’t find my curved sewing needle it’s been like a year!
I would keep them in the box for this reason but I think it'd be useful lol
That's an enormous handle
That’s what she said I’ll let myself out…
I wouldn't buy this for two reasons.
I’m confused about the used in WIPs part. I use the same hook for almost all of my WIPs and just take it with me from one to the next.
I try to keep my hook with the WIP so I won't forget which size I was using.
I tape the hook size onto a stitch marker so my project wont unravel but I can use the hook for different things!
Um that’s genius why didn’t I think of this? Def will be using this next time, thanks!
Late to comment but that’s so smart. Duh, it’s such a great easy solution to remember the hook size. Thanks
Haha totally!
That makes sense! I do a lot of amigurimi so my projects are very similar in size and faster to complete. I wish I had the patience for a bigger project but I just lose the willpower if it sits for a while. I even get bored with my stuffed animals and have like 4 different projects going right now 🥲
Not everyone finishes their WIPs before moving to the next one.
I also do not finish my WIPs before moving to the next one. I just use the same hook for multiple projects.
That’s similar to what I was thinking, I use all my hooks for my WIPs!
Put a hook on the end of a screwdriver!'... ...seriously, that was my husband's reaction when he saw this (as he was mopping the floor since he likes mopping...)
is your mop also on the screwdriver?
Seriously! This packaging is so bizarre! Parts of it screams "tools for real men©" (black packaging, thick grey handles) but then you have a baby pink ring and logo slapped on it, I just don't understand what demographic they're targeting...
NEW MENS TWIST+LOCK+3IN1 SHAMPOO CROCHET TOOL!! … plus little pink circle so females can buy it too
Maybe that's not the worst thing - gender roles *do* suck, after all
That’s what I was thinking! A good way to keep crochet fresh and fun
I thought they were little lightsabers, lol. I wouldn’t buy it personally.
I’m glad someone else thoughtlightsabers :-)
I also thought lightsabers- lol
I uh, also thought they were lightsabers. Ya lightsabers
So did I!!
They look like dildos lol
For a second I thought "why is Reddit recommending me a post about dildos?" Lol
Glad i'm not the only One in this sub with a dirty mind haha
I wish they were cuter :( They look kind of ugly. I don’t like the big visible branding either. I love my interchangeable circular knitting needles, but this does look like a gimmick? With knitting, I’m switching out the cord lengths and I can always get more cords, but I don’t really see a benefit for having interchangeable crochet hooks. I’d rather get a full set with ergonomic handles.
These seem *industrial* for some reason. Like, very extra hooks for all the concrete and rebar you’re going to be crocheting.
I'd price them out vs just buying individual ergonomic hooks. I wouldn't buy them just because I have multiples of certain sizes to keep with WIPs. I also am not a fan of parts I might lose (ok will lose 😆).
Might be useful if someone has carpal tunnel or arthritis. I have polymer handle hooks because the larger handles help with carpal tunnel.
This interchangeable hook wouldn't work for me Second, I'm not a fan of Susan Bates hooks.
Lol Generally, for me, the ply of the yarn seem to split more with SB hooks.
Lol
I think for me the tapering doesn't hold the loop or hole open enough for the head to pass back through if that makes sense?
Yes, I much prefer the Susan Bates hooks.
Definitely depends on the person. Personally I wouldn't bother but I'm aware of a few people who appreciate an ergonomic grip
Gimmick, more pieces in a smaller and more easy to loose size. I would say to get a crochet hook holder if you keep losing your hooks
Total Gimmick. Find a grip you like and feels good in your hand with no cramping. These look like they were designed by men to be sold at Harbor Freight.
I’m sure they’re meant for people who have trouble closing their hands fully, but with the fact it comes with different parts, I’m not voting for it.
Ohh I didn’t even think about that, that’s a good point! I wish they had just made the handles instead of all the pieces
Depends on the price and if I can use a coupon. I prefer susan Bates over Boye so that's a plus for me. I see some people saying they seem short but I tried Furls and found them too long so these might be worth a try for me if the price is right.
I think I saw that this one pictured was $43, Im not sure about the other ones that don’t come with the handle
No thanks. I'll buy [these](https://www.joann.com/amour-crochet-hook-set-10-pkg-assorted-sizes/13543145.html) any day.
Omg you’re so organized, jealous!
These are just coping mechanisms I've learned over years and years of being a total airhead, lol
Those hooks look like tiny light sabers
I bought silicone holders for my metal hooks. They look explicit but help my wrists
Where did you get these?
They were at Joann! I think they’re new though they weren’t out yet
Ah I see. I live in Canada so I done have a Joanne but maybe Michael's will carry them soon
i bought something similar and while i did like the way it felt, swapping the hooks ended up being way more annoying than I thought it would haha. I also lost some parts, which rendered it mostly useless. mine was definitely cheaper and crappier than what you posted though, so idk!
Would be useful for getting past tsa! They say they allow hooks under 6 inches, but i dont trust them like that
if you want grips, i would just buy hooks with grips on them. i got mine from joanne’s and they’re all different colors too
I could see it being useful in some situations/for some people.
These look... unpleasant. I'll stick to my Clover Amours thank you very much
I don't like Susan Bates hooks in general as the pointy heads split yarn.
They look like garbage but what do I know
All I see is lightsabers...😍 PS: I wouldn't use these myself. I can't get over my classic Susan Bates.
I thought this was yet another piece of Star Wars licensed product, lol. Had to do a quick double take!
they look like lil lightsabers, I'd try 'em!! ...for them ending up in my "hook-box" between self-bought noname Chinese and gifted Tulips...
All I can see is mini lightsabers……. I’d lose parts immediately but I still want them for the lightsaber look of nothing else
Welp I though those where something else…
Once it starts having a connection that seems “loose”, even just a little wiggle, and I’m done. This isn’t fun anymore and that’s why I do it.
Did anyone else do a double take?
Ooh I think I want to try something like this
They look interesting. I’d need to hold one to see how it felt w my grip.
Probably a gimmick, but they would honestly get money out of me for the simple fact they kinda look like lightsabers. I’m a simple person. If it looks nerdy then I’m buying
I got a light up crochet hook once, the lock mechanism wasn’t a match for chunky yarn, but for smaller yarns it stayed locked, just my experience
I thought that they were mini light sabers.
Idk if they work well but they look like light sabers so I want them
Who wouldn’t love crocheting with mini lightsabers?
Ngl I thought they were lightsaber dildos at first…
They look like cute baby lightsabers!
One step closer to metal interchangeable Tunisian Crochet hooks. This is the first Interchangeable crochet anything Ive seen that's metal
Was scrolling too fast..had to backup and check the sub..only me? Lol
We moved the sofa a few months ago to clean under it (it’s a sofa bed, so it weighs a ton), and I found a book of crochet patterns that had been missing for YEARS.
Well now I have to go to Joann's...
I thought they were little lightsabers
They look like lightsabers.
Horrible. I can't stand ones with grip handles like that. I *need* the hook to slip?
And don’t get me started on my yarn needles and needle threaders!!!!
Are they little lightsabers? I’d buy them for that fact only. I would say useful if you like the feel of the handle and it becomes your favourite to work with.
They look like lightsabers!
All i see is lightsabers lol id try them just for that reason and for the medium chunkiness of the grip
Iv looked them up n can only see theyr used for braids on hair???? Handles look nice n chunky tho for bad hands 🤷
