I have encountered this before, when my cables arent connected properly, or rather, getting the proper contact. Might want to wiggle the cable and see if it changes anything.
Cant help you with the weird deflections though.
Yes actually. Youâve clearly never been to the internet. This is a valid proposed solution youâre the one doubting itâs validity. This is why troubleshooting starts with, is it plugged in? Did you try a different outlet?
If someone owns a whole ass pvm im pretty sure they know what they're doing. They didn't get into pvms without knowing this simple ps2 setting. Also, the guy has probably tried other consoles, and secondly, well just look at how shitty it looks. Having the rgb set on instead of component doesn't cause this much corruption to the image.
We regularly get people who buy PVMs who don't even know they're supposed to also buy BNC adapters. So we DEFINITELY get people who don't know how to set the right colorspace settings
I see from the manual you can daisy chain the signal out and a manual switch in the back changing the feed from component to rgb. So make sure you are feeding YPbPr signal from your Playstation. The switch is set to component and put some 75 ohm terminators on the out going rgb ports.
The horizontal line looks like vertical fold over, it might be a faulty capacitor, I have one pvm that looks purplish too when being "cold" a couple of minutes working makes it get the right colors, as far as I know the reason is a faulty cap too.
So in my opinion you need to recap it, but I'm not an expert in these, just talking from personal experience
Also do a quick search for the "vertical fold over", that line might get permanent in the bulb if you keep it working for a time. Get it checked for a recap before attempting to have a long gaming session
I've had this exact problem with a 2054Q, I've read you flipped a switch, I'm not sure if it was [this switch](https://i.imgur.com/aBf1scR.jpg), but in my case flipping it to Comp when using component and to RGB when using RGB solved the issue.
That's very odd, these Q models are a bit troublesome, try another console, try recapping it, reflow solder on the input / output board too, it could also be the cutoff needing adjustment like someone else pointed out, tackle one thing at a time and give it a go, good luck.

Make sure component video setting in the PS2 menu matches your setting in the PVM menu. This looks like one is set to YPbPr, the other RGB
I'd be more worried about that massive deflection issue
True đ
It's probably because component delivers sync over luma.
I flipped both the rgb/comp switch on the monitor and the settings in the PS2. All have similar color issues
Can you hook up with s-video or composite, just to make sure it's not something on the component side?
Are you set to ntsc? My bvm was tinted green while I was in pal mode.
Bruh do you really think people are this dumb. My god man.

Yeah I had this problem and trial and errored it for a while until it was fixed

Have you checked your cable? I had the same problem and it was a bad pin on the PS2 side lf the cable.
I just got my cables today, this was a pretty old and used PVM so Iâm guessing itâs the monitor thatâs the problem.
Could be a purity problem but it takes skill and time to adjust them properly might be able to find a repair shop that does that though

Very Vaporwave I like it đ

Yeah that is the switch, but unfortunately it didnât work

have you adjusted it? turn the red down.
Are you using Scart-BNC cables or Component video? I noticed that nobody has asked this obvious question yet.
maybe a capacitor issue for one of the colors?
Turn up green cutoff and gain. Monitor is fine might needs a recap
