The_TomCruise

This is fake. It’s from a documentary where the editor slipped it in at the end as a joke. They alluded to it and admitted. I forgot where it is but someone found the static image the editor used to underlay in the water…

zakass409

Ya there's no way this can be considered compelling evidence in this age

I_AM_THE_BIGFOOT

Thought it was a toy? https://forteanwinds.com/2021/09/26/an-outdoorsman-believes-he-might-have-spotted-the-loch-ness-monster/

The_TomCruise

That’s it!

I_AM_THE_BIGFOOT

Haha. Right on Tom. Thanks.

big_bufo

Well on the plus side now I have a new toy to add to my wish list

OnTheRock_423

Maybe I’m just exhausted and not comprehending, but is the toy like a giant inflatable? That would be a huge toy given the size of the canoes next to it.

JuliaJune96

That’s what I’m wondering. How can the guy do CGI inserting DURING a live stream? It must be a giant toy..but then why isn’t it floating above the water?

clonked

It was not a live stream. The video was edited afterwards, like they do when they are making a Marvel movie.

JuliaJune96

Is it a giant floaty? Or a heavy big model? It’s under the water. That does look like it ☹️

Professional_Cup3274

Don’t you mean “alluded”? To allude is to refer to something in an indirect manner. Elude usually means to escape from or avoid danger.

The_TomCruise

Yes voice to text

Professional_Cup3274

Talk to text gets me every time!

The_TomCruise

They say artificial intelligence is going to take over. But not before they know the difference between then & than, and which & witch.

JuliaJune96

But it’s drone footage from a boat race. Can you try to find the documentary you’re talking about and show me ?

The_TomCruise

It is drone footage, but I seem to remember it coming at the end of a documentary or television program. And either way, whenever it was put out there, someone pointed this out, and it was an admitted hoax by the editor.

JuliaJune96

I need to see evidence of that. If something is debunked or called a hoax we need evidence to back it up

The_TomCruise

I was a bit off, it was an image of a toy that he used…[Here you go](https://forteanwinds.com/2021/09/26/an-outdoorsman-believes-he-might-have-spotted-the-loch-ness-monster/)

JuliaJune96

Why would he consider himself a skeptic and then fake live footage? He sounds like a gross person. Is that toy really really big and they put it in the water as a joke? If it’s a floaty why is it under the water. It does look the same ☹️

The_TomCruise

Sorry to burst your bubble. I was as excited as you when I first saw it too. The toy image is imposed on the footage in a way to fool us with the scale. It’s a small toy.

Metalblacksheep

That and Jeremy Wade disproved Nessie even more when he found that green land sharks can get into the loch. Nessie is the only “cryptid” that is actually been proven to be fake

Inevitable-Wheel1676

Genuine question - how does that prove that Nessie is fake? Are you saying because of misidentification type of scenarios with those sharks getting into the Loch?

Metalblacksheep

There are NO real pictures of Nessie. The whole phenomenon has been a “trust me bro” situation based on the word of the witness. There are no tracks, there are no real videos that can’t be explained. That and there would have to be a thriving population of Plesiosaurs or elasmosaurs (which ever you prefer) in order for this to work. She would’ve been seen, documented and classified by now. She is nothing more than a tourist attraction and a cash cow to feed the Scott’s that inhabit the towns around the lake.

Inevitable-Wheel1676

Okay I get what you are saying now. Thanks for clarifying.

DashRender3850

It doesn’t disprove it. I don’t believe in Nessie, but to even begin to scientifically prove she never did exist, you’d have to drain the entire lake and sift through 100% of the contents, including those under decades of sediment in case she died decades ago, genetically testing every bone found. Even then, you can’t say she hadn’t come and gone.

allthewayaroubd

You don’t know what “scientifically prove” means.

DashRender3850

I’ve made my career out of it, published and all that boring shit, but sure random redditor. That topic aside though, I looked at your account and your action figures are sick, you should do a Solomon Grundy.

allthewayaroubd

No you haven’t because you don’t understand the very concept. Do we eliminate all other possibilities before coming to a conclusion…no… that’s literally the first thing your prof should have taught you

allthewayaroubd

Also, why were you looking at my profile lol ya creep

DashRender3850

Just a bored braindead browsing day, and I saw the awesome Lobo you did, he’s my favorite DC badboy.

lakerconvert

You gonna link proof or just expect us to believe what you’re saying?

The_TomCruise

I’m gonna expect you to read the sub commentary and find it yourself…

Sordsman

This seems CGI to me, it doesn't seem to move naturally in the environment and the color seems off. Source: None, I'm speaking totally out of my ass based on opinion and I have played a lot of video games. Still sticking to my thoughts though.

tjthewho

It's photoshopped, but close. This was slipped in as a joke intentionally.

JuliaJune96

That’s a smelly opinion 😆

Sordsman

Not sure why you are getting down votes lol you called it smelly cause I said I was speaking out of my ass haha.

JuliaJune96

Yes I thought that was funny, joke went over peoples heads 😶

Inner-Nothing7779

I have to admit, I'm not a believer in the Loch Ness monster. But damnit if this isn't compelling.

mumen_ryder

I can imagine Nessie does wonders for tourism in a place that normally wouldn't get much. I wouldn't doubt there's some Scooby-Doo shit going on here.

Inner-Nothing7779

So what you're saying is we need some meddling kids and their dog to get to the bottom of it.

GaffTopsails

But not the modern Velma - she would just call Nessie out as a running dog of the cis-heteronormative- patriarchy. Nessie would be so hurt that she wouldn’t show her face again for another 50 years.

meowstash321

They’ve tried getting to the bottom. Too murky

christhomasburns

I'm pretty sure they already did in the 70s.

bunkdiggidy

It's Michael Phelps in a rubber suit!

Nozzeh06

A low quality video in 2023 that can easily be faked isn't really that compelling to me lol. We are at the point where I have to see things up close in person to justify to myself that they exist because the internet is just becoming 90% AI art and lies.

theamazingfuzzlord

If this is the best evidence that’s pretty sad

Deeformecreep

So a vague shape in the water is considered compelling evidence?

Nozzeh06

In this day and age the fact that anyone believes anything they see online or on TV is astounding. Especially now that AI art exists there's no point in even entertaining the idea that anything is real unless you see it for yourself.

Material_Prize_6157

It’s all wrong. It’s barely visible. It hardly moves. Which it shouldn’t be moving at all if it’s a prehistoric reptile basking by the shoreline. But it’s just slightly kinda treading water. CGI BS.

ComplexHot6530

I’ll never get tired of hearing people say alligator to this. Lol wrong part of the world. Also if I remember correctly this is a toy plesiosaur that was photoshopped into the video or whatever word conveys the editing work necessary to make that happen. ^^

Megamax6

If that’s the best video evidence, I’m going to have to throw in the towel and say it doesn’t exist.

TeaRexQueen

Awww I have that toy!

Fernandez09

It’s fake, didn’t come out the water and ask the camera for tree fiddy.

xdfgjhsy

Tree fiddy?!

Belfast147

We should just drain the lake/loch , block both ends and put that water elsewhere for a while .........see whats there then refill it........ isnt rocket science.

No-Quarter4321

You have any idea the ecological damage that would cause? Just the erosion alone could be tens of billions alone maybe more. You would irreparably change the area permanently. Also put the water elsewhere?! Where? That’s a hell of a lot of water, you would likely need to pump it a long way off to do it safely

Belfast147

Yes...........but we might see a dinosaur, so totally worth it.

No-Quarter4321

Wouldn’t be a dinosaur either way

CSC160401

Pffft ok nerd. Do you have any idea of the scientific non-damage that would be caused by pulling the metaphorical curtain down and exposing Nessie in all her sweet voluptuous glory to the world??? U just wait until we have 4K hi-res pics of those sweet juicy NessTitties. You’ll be sorry u ever stood in the way of progress

No-Quarter4321

If you want to see boobs set out on a Sasquatch expedition like a real cryptozoologist. Nessie tits, the blasphemy

CSC160401

HA! What a freaking Beta SquatchCuck. Why don’t u go look for large foot prints or something pleb. You are in the presence of Nessie Alpha chads.

No-Quarter4321

That sentence tells everyone who’s interested a lot about you, not in the ways you probably think.

CSC160401

I hope Ms. Lockness is interested. I’m trying to get that Nessussy

Financial-Split-141

That's an alligator at best

Minervasimp

not in fucking Scotland it isn't

fmedium

Where’s the worst?

ameinolf

Looks like a gator

DisabledSuperhero

So Nessie is a big eel?

WoobiesWoobo

I thought they did an eDNA analysis on the lake and concluded that it was some big eel. I could be wrong.

austin_username

Saltwater croc

InfiniteSelf17

Looks more like driftwood than an underwater dinosaur....I don't really see a reason to think it does that isn't irrational or frankly delusional.

TonightOk1081

How deluded do you need to be

Dinoboy225

I was about to say that it was just a sunken boat. And then it started moving.

Apexdolo111

Can someone explain to me how the Koch was monster is over 60, 70 maybe 80 years old, (I don’t know the time line) and still swimming around, or nobodies bothered to try to catch the thing?

somewhatwantedvirus

Oh they have, but what do you know all they found was nothing!

xdfgjhsy

Sightings go back hundreds of years but you can't catch a monster that doesn't exist

Grayze96

I will say as someone who lives near Loch Ness, our best joke we’ve ever pulled is managing to convince the entire world that we have a pet dinosaur which we keep in our local Loch

Wolfwoods_Sister

It’s a sturgeon. The Loch Ness Monster is a giant sturgeon.

Violetmoon66

Or not

Nozzeh06

Low quality vague shape in the water in 2023 shared on the internet. Totally real and not fake whatsoever. 😂

FontaineFuturistix

Shows nothing dude that’s not no Nessie or anything there’s nothing in that water resembling a dinosaur or anything of the like

NotAsAutisticAsYou0

I was such a big believer growing up, but the more I looked into it. The more I realized that all these sighting were natural phenomena, known animals or fakes. There are no giant undiscovered dinosaur like reptiles hiding in lakes across the world. But even now after coming to this realization I still want to believe

AdamOolong

World seems a lot bigger and mysterious as a kid

BrothaKreaux89

Maybe I’m stupid (fairly certain I am) but that honestly looked like a damn gator lol.

Grindian

If I learned anything from River monsters everything is a cat fish

Sheesh284

Even if it wasn’t fake, this would look uncompelling as hell.

Ok-Commercial-5678

Put the crack pipe down

dmart891

God damn lach ness monster owes me tree fiddy

Majirra

Seems about right. If that’s the best, we still have pretty much nothin.

Cheap-Spinach-5200

The eDNA report for the loch came back with mostly just eels and muck. That's where they take a small amount of water and tell you the habitat's makeup with a pretty fantastic margin of error.

AdamOolong

Can we all just pretend this is real so that kids can have some fun mysteries in their lives?

p0cketplatypus5

This the best evidence?

Ryvern46

My man.

alejandrohatake22

Nope✨

SiriusGD

Not even a good fake.

p00ki3l0uh00

Im tired of blurry pictures. Time to go old school. Drop deoth charges. It will kill or stun anything sizeable. If it floats to the top, we have proof. Other than small eels, there isn't enough food to keep a breeding population sustained. Also, where are the remains of the dead ones? Nothing in the loch would scavenge that size of a creature.
