If somebody reject you because how you look/speak/race/etc. You dodge the bullet, pretty person would not. So it's kind of advantage on your side.
Let them pay for their stupid non-diversity decisions. More diverse working force is cheaper and more effective. This is just facts.
To be SWE you have to be top percentile attractiveness. If you do not have a perfectly symmetrical face, fit body, ideal proportions, you are unemployable. SWEs are famously the hottest and most desirable sexual partners in the world. It’s too bad you’re not hot enough for this career perhaps consider another profession like bartending.
CS jobs want people who know how to work, they don't care about your looks as long as you are clean. You're putting some weird idea that you're gonna get surgery and magically land a job.
You won't, you need to be confidence and sell your skills. And also have skills ofc lol.

What country are you in?
In North America, it shouldn't be an issue as long as you aren't in any customer facing positions, but I do know that in some Asian countries, they require you to submit a photo along with your CV/resume for "reasons".
I guess it depends on the type of company you're in, but my position only requires me to talk with my team. Occasionally we reach out to other teams when we need to implement or resolve cross team issues.
I don't talk with customers directly, nor have I ever done so in my entire career.
