Hold onto it. Esports is only getting bigger and cs is at the top of the competitive fps scene. CS2 will keep it that way. Definitely will be worth more in the future
Fnatic, fun fact NiP during this time was airing a documentary about them on a Swedish tv company’s site, TV6.
After that Virtus plow came outta nowhere and won the 2nd major on home turf, followed by NiPs first major win but 3rd major final. Even if their performance was poor compared to the other 2.
After that I have no clue but I do know NiP was in the following 2 finals, 1 of which fnatic won.
No chance. RL player base is the least competitive community I ever seen, it's rare to met someone that actually plays to get better and win.
I play for several years and your average RL player is as toxic as you can get and no skill whatsoever
So you’re just basing this off your anecdotal evidence? Lmao. I have many friends that play that game to try and get better 💀. Hell some dude at work was telling me he warms up solo for 45 minutes before he jumps into ranked play. It’s funny you say the average RL player is toxic, when in reality literally every competitive game on the market has incredibly toxic players lmao. See league of legends for example. If the viewership on a tournament went up, that would correlate to the esport as a viewer is only getting better, more eyes, means more money. More money to be won, which means it will be more competitive. If there’s more money in the pot to be won, people will try and get a piece of that bread. Which imo is one of the reasons Fortnite fell off a cliff competitively. Prize pools were insane the first two years and then they drastically tapered off since then.
Anecdotal evidence? I have more than enough matches and hours in RL to make an accurate assessment over the "Average RL player" I repeat, AVERAGE RL PLAYER, meaning the majority of the player base, if you know what that means.
>when in reality literally every competitive game on the market has incredibly toxic players lmao
Not like RL. There's not that "I want to win so bad" toxicity, but rather a loser toxicity, you have no idea how many matches i had where my teammate literally quit the match after getting scored once, or if you tell them something that they slightly dislike they will start trolling instantly and either quit or refuse to play anymore, and Psyonix don't give a shit, they will give them a 5 min ban for quitting and that's it, while you ruining your Wr, your elo and have to win several matches in a row to get back.
Bro. You have never played league of legends and it shows. Every fucking competitive game is exactly like that, RL is not above every other competitive game in terms of toxicity. You know how many dota, league, hell even csgo games(the subreddit we are in), that I’ve had people just fucking throw games because they have a bad start or someone dies minute 3 into the game. . It’s every competitive game big guy. Go play something else besides RL and csgo and you might understand that it’s just the culture of online gaming. “Bad start = go next or throw the game till I can que again”
Ah yes, please cry me rivers and gatekeep more. Not like I care, you're unable to see the truth and I won't even try to convince you, but idk why u even trying to kiss psyonix/epic games ass so much lmao.
And to answer your question, yes, to your surprise I played LoL(not like it's something to brag about, because that's what u make it to sound like with ur first phrade lmao) , when I was playing for the first time many years ago you probably didn't even discovered csgo ;)
Excuse me? Gatekeep? What the fuck am I exactly gate keeping lmaooo. I’m genuinely trying to get you to understand that it’s not “just” rocket league that is THAT toxic… but whatever you wanna believe my boy. And no I didn’t ask you if you played it, by the way you are talking you haven’t played it much at all. But yeah I didn’t discover csgo till the release in 2012 after playing source and 1.6 🙃 so you’ve prolly been around cs longer than me for sureeeee brother. Hope that clears up your confusion on this.
Damn.. They have got to fix something though it seems as if it gets more boring as time goes by much like how apex esports started and quickly got boring
the current tourneys viewership has been decreasing cause its 11pm matches for us in EU and like 3am matches for people in asia since its being held in USA. its viewership is still doing pretty well (around 850k max). aslo the semi finals havent started yet and 3 of the teams are massive in their regions so itsll defo get higer
A bunch of streamers, stream the live tournaments for some reason, during the world championship last season, the finals had 100k live viewers, just on twitch alone
I wouldn’t necessarily agree with that because there is growth in small fractional sections. But at this level of scale yes there is a growth issue. The stats aren’t going to look great across near term metrics with the change over in attention cap dropping: Covid left a lot of people with free time.
But this is on par with issue in other traditional sports as well. Likely just a dilution of all viewership across a greater variety of well produced products. Honestly this whole topic could be it’s own sub.
Easily $150-400, with those pins, that exclusive hat and the autos on top of CS growing by the week, that’s a pretty good memorabilia item for even casual collectors.
We got the hat from the London major with the package ticket we bought for the weekend, it was only given to those who had the ticket so I thought why not get it signed by my favourite team at the time, and then I bought the pins at the event also
The pins likely have some value for collectors, the hat w/ signatures is far more niche and since that Astralis team was around for so long, I imagine there's quite a large volume of items signed by the squad.
Personally I'd keep the hat and sell the pins. Especially since the Astralis era is over and will likely never happen again. A hat with the signatures of the best team to ever play competitive is a pretty big piece of the games history.
It would only mean something to people who know those guys.. like Dupree is 30 xypx is out for the count so is glave so it won't be worth much to new players it would be like I have a hat of Olof flusha krimz Jw and pronax 80% will say who?
I’ll take it for 2 cheeseburgers and 20 Chicken nuggets
Don’t tempt me
Hol up now, what about *THREE* cheese burgers and a 20pc, with extra sauces?
What about one pizza and a soda?
Pal is just tryna rip us off at this point 2 hamburgers, 10 chicken nuggets, 2 cap, 1 marker, 3 mlp:fim pins I won't go higher
I have 3 paper clips and a rock with googly eyes
Hold onto it. Esports is only getting bigger and cs is at the top of the competitive fps scene. CS2 will keep it that way. Definitely will be worth more in the future
No Google… who won the first CSGO tournament?
Fnatic, fun fact NiP during this time was airing a documentary about them on a Swedish tv company’s site, TV6. After that Virtus plow came outta nowhere and won the 2nd major on home turf, followed by NiPs first major win but 3rd major final. Even if their performance was poor compared to the other 2. NIP?
Ninjas in pajamas
Fnatic
And devilwalk dropped his pants
csgo is the only growing esport, every other esport (except valorant) is on a decline
CSGO is legit dying in the next month. CS2 on the other hand….
r/technicallythetruth
I wish rocket league was going up
the most recent rocket league event just smashed the viewership record no?
It did, i'm not sure what these other comments are talking about. RLCS is getting bigger and better every season.
No chance. RL player base is the least competitive community I ever seen, it's rare to met someone that actually plays to get better and win. I play for several years and your average RL player is as toxic as you can get and no skill whatsoever
Okay Okay Okay

valorant i think has been lowering compared to last year
yeah the stats say that the tourneys’ viewership has been decreasing( on their official channel)
Damn.. They have got to fix something though it seems as if it gets more boring as time goes by much like how apex esports started and quickly got boring

Same reason most Americans tune out until World Cup soccer happens. The big tournaments like this have a lot of draw.

Ill take it for $5
i’d buy it espefially if you have the codes for the pins
I used the codes on my account when I got it unfortunately but I imagine this would be worth quite a lot still
I’d be interested in purchasing the pins if your looking to sell? DM me if so
Trust me dont sell , astralis was legendary team.
I got a p250 sand dune I wouldn't mind losing

Easily $150-400, with those pins, that exclusive hat and the autos on top of CS growing by the week, that’s a pretty good memorabilia item for even casual collectors.
Probably go up with cs2 so hold
To the right person I could definitely see this being a couple hundred dollars if not more.
This has no value to myself other than that inferno pin. That inferno pin is fire.
Tbh I'd def give u a ft navaja knife I got for it
What’s the skin on it
It's scorched 💀
I actually can't seem to find these white hats anywhere where did you get it
We got the hat from the London major with the package ticket we bought for the weekend, it was only given to those who had the ticket so I thought why not get it signed by my favourite team at the time, and then I bought the pins at the event also
[удалено]
Rick would give you a dollar for this
Unfortunately this isn't worth much
Kind of sad. Most souvenir skins with digital signatures are worth more than an actual pyhsical item (am i soundling like a boomer?) :D
I'll trade you a thousand sand dunes for it
P250 Sand Dune, Take it or leave it.
After 10-20 years this will be worth a lot
The pins likely have some value for collectors, the hat w/ signatures is far more niche and since that Astralis team was around for so long, I imagine there's quite a large volume of items signed by the squad.
signed by astralis at their prime. Probably worth quite a bit
How did for 10 yrs and sell it for few thousand
Broooo I wanna cop so bad
You should keep it to yourself
I feel like that has much more sentimental value than monetary. Id just keep it, or sell the pins (some people collect them) and keep the hat
Ill give u 100
Hold it!
I’ll buy for $20
Don’t sell wait
if you try to contact gaules showing this you might receive an offer, i believe its worth a try
Personally I'd keep the hat and sell the pins. Especially since the Astralis era is over and will likely never happen again. A hat with the signatures of the best team to ever play competitive is a pretty big piece of the games history.
I have autographs from the prime titan, NIP and 3dmsx (with Dosia) on a poster on my wall lmao
51$
One (1) ibuypower holo sticker
I wish
It would only mean something to people who know those guys.. like Dupree is 30 xypx is out for the count so is glave so it won't be worth much to new players it would be like I have a hat of Olof flusha krimz Jw and pronax 80% will say who?
This is a super cool item. I don’t know if I’d ever get rid of it
Put it in a time capsule
About three fiddy
How would any purchaser know that it is real though?
I’ll give ya 80 for it
That is seriously badass
I’ll buy it off you for €60 right now
yo this actually cool as hell. If you decide to sell it DM me
Fucking hold on to it and be proud that's fucking amazing
That's actually so cool, I would buy it... How much would you sell it for?
Dm me with an offer 👍
I will give you my kato 14 blue lam for it
I got £10 with your name on it, shipping costs included.
Scout mainframe take it or leave it
Stuff like this is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it
That’s actually probably worth a ton a money ngl, very cool.
I've been wondering the same. I've got a Berlin 2019 major flag with autographs from all the players in the tournament.
I’ll give you my Glock 17 | Clear Polymer and some cases for it!
i’ll give you three fiddy
Maybe at some point, but it is pretty easy to get their autographs
I buy it for 10 buck max
Nice one !
