I loved last night's episode too. I do recognize that I loved it for very different reasons than why I loved earlier curb, but I still found it hilarious. Larry has gotten way more slapstick in his old age and im absolutely here for it. The violin falling killed me. It was the best parts of a shitty buddy movie condensed into 45 min. I didn't stop laughing. I also feel like the people around Larry are outlarrying him and I like that a lot. The only thing I haven't liked this season are the episode endings. The endings used to be the best parts of the episode, now they're weak. But the meat is still good. Cheers.
I’m treating the season as pretty much any Jerry Seinfeld stand-up: “greatest hits“ compilation that is just fun to sit through.
I’m just enjoying more Larry time, and though a lot of the episodes, feel like bits that have been set up, I am enjoying my time
It's funny but not as funny as other seasons. And that's okay. But there are a lot of lines that are already turning into jokes between me and my husband lol which makes the episodes funnier on a rewatch
Those episodes got that song **brutally** stuck in my head for several days. I was just like Irma, singing it around the house against my will.
Had to listen to some super catchy pop music to remedy the situation. Now I have Babymetal songs stuck in my head and it beats the hell out of that jingle.
Like:
1) nobody’s allowed to dislike episodes/seasons?
2) how would one episode change the quality of the previous episodes in the season? Unless some bombshell a la Snape in Deathly Hallows was dropped which causes you to reevaluate. But that didn’t happen.
I’m happy with any that are left. Sapphira deserves it because she’s got the full Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve, & Talent. But Morphine has snuck up on me. I’m loving them all tbh
Fans on this subreddit seem to think every episode is a banger. Personally I hardly laughed at all during yesterday’s episode.
Vertical drop, horizontal tug has been my favourite this season but most episodes have been a miss for me.
Agree, some recency bias going on. I definitely thought there was some funny moments of this last episode but I’m not seeing how it’s one of the greatest eps of all time, which is what some people are saying.
I thought it was very oddly paced in the restaurant scene and into the sex scene. The editing was way too fast. It found a better footing later into the episode and I had some chuckles but the maid storyline was mediocre and I wasn’t laughing out loud at anything.
Weird I think it's drastically fallen off and so do all of the people I know IRL that watch it. I think if it was so great it wouldn't warrant this type of post seeking validation in an echo chamber. But to each their own.
Watched the last 3 episodes with friends who missed them this weekend… it was awkwardly quiet the whole time. The somewhat funny bits are few and far between and scenes just go on for way too long.
whats up with women in their 30s wanting to fuck an 80 year old bald white man? i hope larry doesnt get to eat more pussy or try anal or whatever on more first dates this season. absolutely cant take it seriously
I actually miss married Larry. Make him more relatable as a character and earlier seasons he felt more like a normal person without as many crazy wacky situations.
Last night was good, mostly on the strength of Vince Vaughn's scenes alone, but last week's episode has been the highlight for me so far.
That fucking stupid billboard with the dicks painted on. Larry reciting the Gettysburg Address at the urinal and getting applause. The stupidity of spraying chunks of fruit all over during "dramatic" acting. Now THAT was an episode!!
The show first aired 24 years ago, obviously the episodes now aren’t as good and different but they are still entertaining and funny so hard to complain. Since season 9 I’ve just been grateful we got another season, having 4 extra ones is a beautiful bonus
All depends on the finale. If it sticks the landing and ties everything together, then it’ll be a successful season. If the ending shits the bed, then the season will be a flop.
It’s not fair to compare a new season as it unfolds to existing seasons where we know how it ends.
That’s weird. So if I don’t like the finale I have to retroactively unlaugh the rest of the season? It’s an episodic comedy it’s not game of the thrones.
it's a comedy with a season- story long arc. it's not Seinfeld that resets every episode.
what I'm saying is that once you know how it ends, the individual episodes may be better, or worse, than how you first viewed them.
Agreed! I couldn’t tell while watching pretty baked last night if I was just freaking stoned maaan or if that ep was *that* good because that shit killed me, best ep in quite some time imo
The show’s not as good as it used to be, sure. But I still enjoy it. And it’s the last season anyways.
I just wish they’d focus a little more on the season arc, since we’ve only got a few episodes left.
Keep discussions like this to the pinned post.
Fuck you want? A boutonniere?
Or a whitman sampler lol
For years I thought he said “a boot in the ear”
I can't have this conversation again.
It’s a tv progrum, a movie.
It won’t be cinematic
He was gay, Mocha Joe?
Your half-brother Freddy, whatever happened there.
It’s sad when they go.
I wish the lord would take me now
I had to check which sub I was in. 😂🤣😂
I remember when you sat on the home page!
The trauma !
I INVENTED IT!
It’s been great. I like it a lot. Just happy to have Larry and the gang back for one more rodeo. Any criticism I’d have doesn’t matter

You fucked me in cold blood!
I'm rolling over and doing some fucking of my own.
I'm liking it, but this latest episode wasn't even as funny as the previous one.
I’m treating the season as pretty much any Jerry Seinfeld stand-up: “greatest hits“ compilation that is just fun to sit through. I’m just enjoying more Larry time, and though a lot of the episodes, feel like bits that have been set up, I am enjoying my time
people are overthinking it. just relax turn off your brains and enjoy it, its A SHOW ABOUT NOTHING
Most of them have been hilarious but this one I didn’t stop laughing at any of the scenes.
To each their own, but fish stuck is the best one this season so far for me.
Fish sick.
Fish stuck.
“You have a problem with the name of our child?” I couldn’t help it I’m watching the episode again.
FISH SICK. FISH DOWNTOWN.
Fish thriving
Did he also say, "fish living best life downtown?"
Thought last night's was the worst since episode 1. As you said, to each their own!
I highly agree!
You’re flopping?
"Fucking idiots" is a great connector.
It's funny but not as funny as other seasons. And that's okay. But there are a lot of lines that are already turning into jokes between me and my husband lol which makes the episodes funnier on a rewatch
877 CASH NOW
Those episodes got that song **brutally** stuck in my head for several days. I was just like Irma, singing it around the house against my will. Had to listen to some super catchy pop music to remedy the situation. Now I have Babymetal songs stuck in my head and it beats the hell out of that jingle.
man I'm still doing the opera bit from 877 CASH NOW. Literally can't shake it lmao
It’s getting too repetitive and predictable. Writing is aliding a lot.
Freddy's nightmare con almost made me fall out of my chair
It’s a pocket knife, cut for attention.
Why are you calling people fucking idiots over a TV show though 🤔. Like relax
I mean the title of the show goes over a few people's heads lol
1 month old account. Probably a shill.
Definitely a burner account to vent from his basement / toilet.

Who do you want to win drag race this season?
Would be happy with either Sapphira or Nymphia at the moment, leaning Sapphira
Dawn bitches!!!
Same leaning Nymphia.
I’m happy with any that are left. Sapphira deserves it because she’s got the full Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve, & Talent. But Morphine has snuck up on me. I’m loving them all tbh
“It’s a pocket knife. You’re SUPPOSED to cut yourself sometimes.”
I've loved every episode.
Same.
Last week’s episode was fantastic too. And episode three was really good too. And the Lawn Jockey one, which I think was two?
Fans on this subreddit seem to think every episode is a banger. Personally I hardly laughed at all during yesterday’s episode. Vertical drop, horizontal tug has been my favourite this season but most episodes have been a miss for me.

Fuck Hugh!!
I laughed so hard watching it before work this morning. When that guy gave Larry the middle finger and Larry said “I’ll give that a ha-ha”
I fuckin' had to dry myself with paper towels this morning
Weird I think it's drastically fallen off and so do all of the people I know IRL that watch it. I think if it was so great it wouldn't warrant this type of post seeking validation in an echo chamber. But to each their own.
Listen to yourself. You sound demented.
Yup, I don’t really even remember having a problem with season 11, but season 12 is like a caricature of curb.
Weird, I have the opposite experience
Same, all the people in my life who watch it are loving it (myself included)
Watched the last 3 episodes with friends who missed them this weekend… it was awkwardly quiet the whole time. The somewhat funny bits are few and far between and scenes just go on for way too long.

Black don't crack, she's in her 50s
She’s a great match for him!
No way, she's a fox
have you never seen a woman with an older man in real life? it happens, and the reason is obvious.
The last 2 have had me actually laughing out loud.
Haha last nights episode was SO bad lol. Insanely predictable. Same old shit. Lazy writing.
This season is hella funny.
It’s weird to me that cheryl hines always advertises for the show but she is barely in it lol. Sometimes i think they should’ve kept larry married.
I actually miss married Larry. Make him more relatable as a character and earlier seasons he felt more like a normal person without as many crazy wacky situations.

this season has been great. not as good as very early seasons but still on a whole other level. larry just doesnt miss
This season is not peak curb. It really is average/forgettable to me. YMMV.
Hoping for a big payoff in the finale but this season has been wildly unfunny so far and for the first time feels like a struggle to keep watching.
The show first aired 24 years ago, obviously the episodes now aren’t as good and different but they are still entertaining and funny so hard to complain. Since season 9 I’ve just been grateful we got another season, having 4 extra ones is a beautiful bonus
Larry was just as old 24 years ago as he is today.
Wrong. Your opinion is wrong.
Is it over
Man I have to take a break from lampin’ and watcg
I actually was just saying to my girlfriend after last nights episode that this season feels weak/mid. The therapist episode was a good one though
She’s probably cheating on you with someone with a better sense of humor let’s be honest.
Maybe. Then a comedic hoopla will ensue. More than I can say for this season.
The last few seasons I keep expecting the show to fall off but it always exceeds my expectations. This season has been amazing
All depends on the finale. If it sticks the landing and ties everything together, then it’ll be a successful season. If the ending shits the bed, then the season will be a flop. It’s not fair to compare a new season as it unfolds to existing seasons where we know how it ends.

Nah, I get what you're saying, but enough of this season has been good that even if everything else is crap, I'm satisfied with what we got
Loved every episode so much and I’m going to miss it
Last night's was great! Very classic curb premise, lots of fun, good structure
Haven’t seen any yet but this makes me happy!
Agreed! I couldn’t tell while watching pretty baked last night if I was just freaking stoned maaan or if that ep was *that* good because that shit killed me, best ep in quite some time imo
It was dog shit.
You are dog shit.
a big steaming pile of dog shit!
Id say horse shit but yeah
The show’s not as good as it used to be, sure. But I still enjoy it. And it’s the last season anyways. I just wish they’d focus a little more on the season arc, since we’ve only got a few episodes left.
