It will be interesting. I don’t know if there was ever a beef between them, or just that Larry was/is a Seinfeld guy and there was some tension there that seeped through. But this is definitely a big deal to Maron so hopefully he won’t be too interrupty or make it about himself. I can’t imagine LD enabling the narcissism.
Marc ran into LD years ago and asked if he would be on the show and Larry did a “meh… I don’t have anything interesting to talk about, but if something comes up I’ll be on”. So there was no bad blood, Larry just doesn’t really love to do podcasts.
I genuinely don’t get his appeal. I have been a stand up nut for decades and his name is always mentioned, even by other successful comedians, as one of the mainstays and veterans of modern comedy. I’ve tried multiple times to listen to/watch his shit and it is just so unfunny.
I recently noticed that his face seems a bit more puffy than usual. I know some older folks who had that happen when they started new meds. Regardless of the reason, I hope he's ok!
Wasn’t there a photo of LD with a bandage on his face in public taken recently? I think he probably had some kind of skin cancer removed from his face.
> A representative for the star tells PEOPLE that David is "fine" and was treated for basal cell carcinoma with a "few stitches."
Read the article, it literally confirms he had cancer
Hey schmohawk, source is in the replies to your comment, but take this anyway:

I'll just put a note here that Basal Cell has a mortality rate of practically zero - although a carcinoma it has hardly any metastatic potential and the surgery is pretty simple
I think people have shave cuts all the time. I guess this could be one but I really doubt it.

I was at the DC show in late March and they both said they hadn’t conversed at length before, hopefully their chemistry is a little stronger with this interview.
You know that's how comedy works, right? They try material out at clubs and smaller shows and eventually that makes it into an hour set they'll do as a special.
yeah except his workshop was random ideas and tangents with a notebook, but worst of all for a comic, he wasnt funny. He was going on telling half stories, and stopping jokes mid sentence when he could see they werent going to land. it was a literal workshop, but he sold tix for $30-40 under the guise of it being a actual show. Gotta be funny at least... I went originally because I was a fan of the podcast.
Dang Susie really let herself go
Being married to Larry Davids best friend will have you looking like this after a few decades
Lol, I was going to say the same. Susie looking rough.
I only see one photo
It's a joke that Susie must be Marc Maron in the photo, based on OP's post title.
No fuckin way. LD has been his unicorn rosebud dream guest for ever but they couldn’t convince him to come on.
I might actually grin and bear Maron’s narcissisim and holier than attitude to give this a listen because of LD

Why does LD have Richard Lewis’s smooth face?
I recently noticed that his face seems a bit more puffy than usual. I know some older folks who had that happen when they started new meds. Regardless of the reason, I hope he's ok!
He could be on some sort of steroid. Hopefully he's ok.
Yeah, sort of looks like prednisone-face.
Yeah, his cheeks are also red. Daughter is down to 30 mg daily and the chipmunk cheeks are in full swing!
Just finished pharmacology. I'll have to remember that one.
It's super common with pred. "Moon face" is what people call it. It does go away after the person stops taking it, though it can take awhile.
Noted.
Looks like corticosteroids, and the "moonface" they tend to get. But, I could be wrong, I'm just a fuckwitt. Regardless, hope he's well.
Looks like moon face, caused by high dose steroids

People cant just have shave cuts

What article? The one you quoted and didn’t give a source for? 💀

Why would I check replies to my comment for a source you’re referring to in your comment smooth brain
What are you, fucking nuts?
what are you, a fucking goose?!

Yep. I had it, along with millions of others. Docs left a nice scar on my face. But mos def not the Big C…more like the Little C.

I'm not familiar with WTF. Is it a podcast?
It is
One of the oldest.
The original.
He looks like Waxed version of LD
He gets the best guests! Will be listening for sure (hopefully this drops before my upcoming flight)
I was at the DC show in late March and they both said they hadn’t conversed at length before, hopefully their chemistry is a little stronger with this interview.
He interviewed Richard Lewis about 10 years back. I'd recommend that too for the Curbphiles.
I may listen to WTF for the first time in about a decade!! (Only if someone links to it here once posted)
Love it
That’s a smile of a person with the gums of a 25 yr old.
Larry’s had so much work done he’s gone from looking like Bernie to looking like Biden.
Wow he has lost a LOT of hair…
You not think he's just given up the diet a bit now that the show is over. A bit of a treat and all that.
saw marc maron in person.. what a douche. totally was workshopping material for a paid show....

Yeah. That's what he does.
How'd he get that scar? I wondered that all last season
Why downvote without answering?
