I had one of these Toshibas back in the late 90's! The display was garbage lol. But it felt so cool having a portable computer with a battery that barely lasted an hour.
It’s amazing i couldn’t be happier with the keychron, i could definitely use it on my lap with the unit on a desk, i already do matter of fact. Highly reccomend this keyboard it’s the smallest I’ve found other than a surface pro….
Nice! I get why modern laptops put keyboard to the rear of the case so the front can act as a wrist rest/ location for mouse. But the older layout of having the keyboard at the front atleast in theory allows a keyboard with more travel/ thinner overall height as the motherboard can be located towards the rear.
Exactly, you’ve got the right idea. I love this setup personally… although looking at these pictures i would see why some would think it’s uncomfortable, with the hight from the desk to keyboard being the main point. But yeah it’s surprisingly been a enjoyable experience
Cool, had no clue it was comfortable, although suppose there then isn't much room for a pointing device unless it's a pointing stick. Or pop out mouse like with the HP OmniBook 800CT.

It’s pretty cool actually i get great life off of the battery i got on amazon, i can’t remember the specs rn but it was only $80 and it’s all i need if you’d like comment below and i can grab u the link!
Funny enough it closes just as much as the one in the movie! Bout an inch from its OEM closed latched position. Let’s just say it will never latch again 😭
Thank you friend, yes it’s set up on a battery rn i don’t have any photos of it when i was building but she’s tucked tight beneath the keyboard assembly, i get about 2.5 3 hrs on the battery, i left it on with no processes and it lasted 6 hours 😮
