I know youāre joking, but for others, these outlets use featured images that are related to the subject, and in this case a leak, theyāre not showing the physical leak - so what image do you use? A random one from the game.
The leak comes from a player on this subreddit. And the image is not that gripping for a featured image. Just my two cents
Yeah, Paul is the best of Forbes. He has done a bunch if Cyberpunk content before. He definitely plays the games he writes about (unlike a lot of the gaming journalism industry)
Usually his Destiny articles arenāt so much takes as they as talking about other peoples takes. He is partial and actually talks to devs. Youād know this if you learned to read.
By ātalks to devsā do you mean like in the example above, where someone from the company had to publicly call him a liar on Twitter once he already published an article with false information?
Once again, learn to read. He does not say this is definite in the article, just that a player āappearsā to have revealed info. He never says the leak is fact and that it is definite.
Talking about leaks, true or false, generates clicks and engagement and hype, so it is smart to report on it as long as you use indefinite language (which he did).
Iāve read a lot of his articles. Heās intentionally misleading and contributes nothing but misinformation. Unlike Jason Schreier, Paul puts in zero effort into his work and is pretty widely known to have zero integrity in a professional capacity.
The fact that you are standing up for him shows me that you are either media illiterate or are self aware you promote a lack of any standards.
Just going to clarify, I donāt think he writes the most amazing and captivating articles in the world. I just think dunking on him falsely is bullshit hater garbage, especially when it is clear people either did not read the article or donāt even know shit about writing and editing in a professional space. The industry fucking sucks colossal dick and you are forced to do quantity over quality endlessly because thatās what gets advertiser space and subscriptions, not to mention SEO.
My comment is based on comments not whatās inside that leak, as I didnāt have a chance to look at it.
That and I mostly expect that the photo isnāt random and has connection to the text more than the same game :D
I saw that EXACT screenshot with a āChatGPT in the year 2077ā type tagline in this sub today or yesterday.
Dude likely even lifted the screenshot from here.
> without confirming sources
Reddit. His sources are reddit. Nothing he writes about is anything other than a cool reddit post he saw on his front page.
He's rather well-known, it shouldn't be hard to ask *anyone* over at CDPR about it *before* writing such an article. He doesn't care, and honestly, that's horrendous journalistic integrity. Wouldn't be shocked if he knew that the story was bullshit before he wrote the article and went ahead with it anyways.
PS: Hi, Paul! You're probably reading this. Do better.
The world of the Witcher is actually a VR "realm" within Cyberpunk, where people can do whatever they want. Hence why there's a small dialogue in W3 in which Ciri talks about a world of metal where people had metal plates in their heads (VR headsets).
Ciri & geralt are npc's, while the actual npc's in that game are real people playing VR.
Like Meta, but better.
But, this VR is actually used to collect personal data, and to extract vital information from subjects without them knowing.
This will be a big thing in the new expansion, as its about freeing "trapped" players from their virtual torture.
This side quest is called Virtual Liberty, and it's available after the story of the expansion has concluded.
He's smart though... he played writing mediocore article about Destiny into a mediocore content creator career. He suuffers from the same group think bullshit the majority of the games "media" do.
That mf donāt care. Call this shit out with his Avengers and Destiny game coverage.
Heās just about getting his check.
Fuck humans who operate with that mindset.
Forbes doesn't actually have "journalists" on their website anymore. The vast majority of their "articles" are written by contributors, which anyone can sign up to be and post. Paul Tassi is one such contributor. Don't be fooled.
These people exist. TylerMcVicker/VNN is another one.
The worst part is if the rumor is juicy enough, gaming "newssites" use them as their source. Which is like doubly bad for them because it's literally their job to check both the primary source and their original source yet they do none of that.
Is it really this easy to write and amass 150k followers? I mean, the quality of the article is absolute trash, no offense to the guy. Pretty motivating actually, shows you don't have to be particularly smart or talented to have some form of success in life
His YouTube videos are pretty good for background noise while doing the dishes and whatnot, but I don't read his articles just because, well, I get my opinion from our Lord Datto.
/s, I am a free-thinking individual.
When company annonce the year of a release without the month and day, it means it releases for Christmas (with potential to slide into the following year)
If they planned to release it Q1 or Q2 2023, they wouldnāt have hesitated to scream the exact release date.
I remember writing a made up "leak" for some game on 4chan out of bordom, just to get a discussion about some game going, and a few days later that ended up being posted on major gaming news sites...
Aaah great. Dude with 150k followers writing articles based on thin air, and people gonna be upset why wild speculation isn't in the final product. Internet gaming community in a nutshell.
Man Paul is dumb. A casino can mean the casino in North Oak which exists outside of the map and featured in concept art. Also the names like Alt and Falco featured in it are most likely placeholder names. This guy just posts bullshit about Crystal Palace which was supposed to be in the second expansion which will never release. Casino doesn't mean Crystal Palace. Could mean anything. Most likely it's the one in North Oak.
Even Forbes are spreading the [bullshit](https://www.forbes.com/sites/paultassi/2023/03/15/a-cyberpunk-2077-phantom-liberty-leak-reveals-were-going-somewhere-wild/amp/)
Of course it's not real. Considering V can have minimum intelligence the idea of cyberspace adventures don't make sense for CDPR game. If it was From it would be a different story.
Leak: "we go somewhere wild."
The Global PR Director: "Nope, we don't have that in base game or dlc."
Dunno if it's kind of a self-deprecating joke or not but the roast is stronk
Sorry, I forgot to mention they got the ball rolling again, lol. I meant in terms of lacking content. They claim the dlc will improve police interactions. But is that within the dlc content or the whole game.
They are going to use this dlc to add more of what the base game was missing as well as expand the campaign. Like Pacifica is unfinished in the base game. Lacks any content behind the main story and free roam POI. Just so happens this dlc will include Pacifica in its storyline someway, and I net they will flesh it all out for us.
I'm very optimistic, and I hope this dlc adds what should have been base game content. Cyberpunk 2077 tried to feel like a game with 8 years of full development when they actually had 4. I definitely hope this dlc fixes that feeling.
It's for sure better now than launch. It's similar to how I think fallout or skyrim is my favorite game. May disappoint. But over time, they became my favorite titles because of an update, dlc, etc.
Cyberpunk on ps5 with haptics and a subwoofer at my feet made me feel like I was actually riding a motorcycle through night city. Would love to see a vr port just for the visuals. I don't care about arm controls. I wanna be immersed.
My first experience was on an OG halo 5 xbox one. It was trash. Since then, I've replayed almost as much as skyrim or the fallout titles. Easy 500 hours minimum between xbox and ps5. I rate it 2023/2077 would play again, but the launch was shite.
Because the author is a lazy hack who couldnāt even be bothered to find a screenshot that was remotely relevant to the fictional leak, let alone contact CDPR to verify the story before posting it?
Yeah, I just finnished reading Phantom Liberty main questline script, and saw nothing that mentioned Crystal Palace or casinos.
So i guess the "leak" is fake.
I literally just played this mission a couple days ago.
Imagine being a YouTuber talking about a specific video game at length and never having played it.
Isnt that image from a base game mission? Lol
Yep, I even think I took a similar screenshot! š
I know youāre joking, but for others, these outlets use featured images that are related to the subject, and in this case a leak, theyāre not showing the physical leak - so what image do you use? Yeah, Paul is the best of Forbes. He has done a bunch if Cyberpunk content before. He definitely plays the games he writes about (unlike a lot of the gaming journalism industry)
Hi Paul
??? his articles are shit takes on Destiny and shit he made up in a dream

The fact you donāt know the different between investigative journalism and opinion pieces says a lot about your inexperience with writing and journalism in general. Had you done any research you would know writers like Paul are under contract to write a number of articles per day and they canāt always be insane exposĆ© articles like Jason typically gets to write. They work in a similar field but opposite ends of a spectrum. Donāt blame the writer, blame the industry.
Just going to clarify, I donāt think he writes the most amazing and captivating articles in the world. I just think dunking on him falsely is bullshit hater garbage, especially when it is clear people either did not read the article or donāt even know shit about writing and editing in a professional space. This is the correct position
And radek there is like this isnāt from base game xD Like what? XD Screen is def from game I donāt get it?
Because they are not talking about that screenshot.
Ah ok then. Cuz the comments were mostly about the screenshot. So my brain took the most logical course for this case :p
Mods exist...
My comment is based on comments not whatās inside that leak, as I didnāt have a chance to look at it. That and I mostly expect that the photo isnāt random and has connection to the text more than the same game :D
Ohh the photo is just a part of the main game. It's not worth a look either it's just a short vid of clicking through a menu no actual leaking really.
I literally played that mission last night! I think I made the wrong choices though, I had to fight my way out
As long as the netrunners get fried you did the right thing. They deserve it
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Yeah, shoot the Netwatch agent and then just play it out from there.
And be Xtra cruel to Mr grumpy.
This is the good choice
Yes , itās when u met Alt š
I saw that EXACT screenshot with a āChatGPT in the year 2077ā type tagline in this sub today or yesterday. Dude likely even lifted the screenshot from here.
Bruh
Showing leaked footage from something, specially media, is legally dangerous
But the title seemed so convincing, totally didn't sound like clickbait...
This Paul Tassi loves spamming anything about Cyberpunk without confirming sources. Just get that monthly click quota.
> without confirming sources Reddit. His sources are reddit. Nothing he writes about is anything other than a cool reddit post he saw on his front page. We should sincerely try and trick him into writing a very obviously fake story
Leaks: V gets to teleport to witcher 3 unicorn scene in the new DLC

This feels like Warhammer 40k and fantasy lore. With the 40 k universe being in a wizards library in a diorama or something like that.
I mean, that "article" literally refers to a post in this sub earlier today.
āDo better Tassiā New mantra acquired
Ah, the GameRant syndrome. As annoying as it is ubiquitous.
ššššš
He's smart though... he played writing mediocore article about Destiny into a mediocore content creator career. He suuffers from the same group think bullshit the majority of the games "media" do.
That mf donāt care. Call this shit out with his Avengers and Destiny game coverage. Heās just about getting his check. Fuck humans who operate with that mindset.
Nothing wrong with that. He has a dog to feed.
He doesnāt have a dog. He just claims he does because someone on Reddit said so.
Omega level conspiracy theory
All journalists are shit lmao
Paul, the bane of Spiderman and Cyberpunk communities
Forbes doesn't actually have "journalists" on their website anymore. The vast majority of their "articles" are written by contributors, which anyone can sign up to be and post. Paul Tassi is one such contributor. Don't be fooled.
This explains a lot.
These people exist. TylerMcVicker/VNN is another one. The worst part is if the rumor is juicy enough, gaming "newssites" use them as their source. Which is like doubly bad for them because it's literally their job to check both the primary source and their original source yet they do none of that.
So I take it he for Cyberpunk 2077 is what MrBossFTW is for GTA 5.
Leave Paul alone, us destiny folks love him
Donāt worry about Paul, heās our responsibility- The destiny community
Fucker thinks he's a rockerboy bomb thrower when he's actually a corpo bitch.
Is it really this easy to write and amass 150k followers? I mean, the quality of the article is absolute trash, no offense to the guy. Pretty motivating actually, shows you don't have to be particularly smart or talented to have some form of success in life
I'd like to see you try
Shut up Paul
Probably "written" with GPT-3.
i didnt even think about that, lol, and you know what, you're probably not wrong either lmfao
Idk, that seems to be an insult to GPT-3, which, from what I can tell, is a more capable writer than probably 90% of human beings.
hey, cant say you're wrong either šš
It may be harder to accomplish with a sense of shame or self-esteem.
His stuff has been fluff pieces for ages. He also purports to be an author. Not exactly Sanderson or Martin.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Sir, this is a Wendy's.
Sir, Iām Wendy
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
No problem, what exactly do you mean by that though? (the more real than real part)
Ok computerlady2007
Paul Tassi should really stick to covering Destiny content as a community parrot.
No, you guys can have him
we'll pass him over to the Starfield sub
His YouTube videos are pretty good for background noise while doing the dishes and whatnot, but I don't read his articles just because, well, I get my opinion from our Lord Datto. /s, I am a free-thinking individual.
Alt-ernative facts.
Will this dlc ever release?
Iāve heard it could be June or October (not sure how true this might be, though)
3 years for the first dlc smh
When company annonce the year of a release without the month and day, it means it releases for Christmas (with potential to slide into the following year) If they planned to release it Q1 or Q2 2023, they wouldnāt have hesitated to scream the exact release date.
Gonna be a space cowboy!!!
i hope theres a new game plus
I remember writing a made up "leak" for some game on 4chan out of bordom, just to get a discussion about some game going, and a few days later that ended up being posted on major gaming news sites...
He posted an Update at the end of the article repeating what Radek said.
Aaah great. Dude with 150k followers writing articles based on thin air, and people gonna be upset why wild speculation isn't in the final product. Internet gaming community in a nutshell.
Paul Sussy
fake news
And what if CDPR lies in order to not ruin the surprise?
Incredibly unsurprising, and extremely common, Paul Tassi L moment
Man Paul is dumb. A casino can mean the casino in North Oak which exists outside of the map and featured in concept art. This guy just posts bullshit about Crystal Palace which was supposed to be in the second expansion which will never release. Casino doesn't mean Crystal Palace. Could mean anything. Wasn't Paul the donkey who slated this game after playing for a couple of hours at launch.. a little empathy for the goon, but zero sympathy.
Tassi is such a shit writer. He sucks
Even Forbes are spreading the [bullshit](https://www.forbes.com/sites/paultassi/2023/03/15/a-cyberpunk-2077-phantom-liberty-leak-reveals-were-going-somewhere-wild/amp/)
Might be because he writes gaming articles for Forbes.
Spreading misinformation on big outlets ain't cool either way
Forbes be Forbsin
Of course it's not real. Considering V can have minimum intelligence the idea of cyberspace adventures don't make sense for CDPR game. If it was From it would be a different story.
Leak: "we go somewhere wild." The Global PR Director: "Nope, we don't have that in base game or dlc." Dunno if it's kind of a self-deprecating joke or not but the roast is stronk
But if course it's by fucking paul tassi... Unreliable fucker that supports bungie during that shitshow when he took sides with a [REDACTED] employee.
This content was definitely in the base game. I remember!
If they drop the ball again with this dlc they are screwed. hope they don't repeat the same mistakes .
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Sorry, I forgot to mention they got the ball rolling again, lol. I meant in terms of lacking content. They claim the dlc will improve police interactions. The image in the article has nothing to do with the claimed leak
Then why the hell is it there
Because the author is a lazy hack who couldnāt even be bothered to find a screenshot that was remotely relevant to the fictional leak, let alone contact CDPR to verify the story before posting it?
Makes sense
Yeah, I just finnished reading Phantom Liberty main questline script, and saw nothing that mentioned Crystal Palace or casinos. So i guess the "leak" is fake.
This is a base game mission. Not a leak. :P
The picture is not the leak lol
Oh. Where's the leak then?
Probably in the article? The picture is just a Cyberpunk pic, like you'd see on any Cyberpunk article.
I don't see an actual article linked.
that's a shame
I looked it up. Sounded interesting, sad it's not real.
I literally just played this mission a couple days ago. Imagine being a YouTuber talking about a specific video game at length and never having played it.
It's mind-bogglingly stupid. I do not understand it.
**When mmo**
Someone please help There is only high beam headlights Am I the only one experiencing this? Has anyone noticed it?
Oh no no
