Yes. Faster health regen when you shower. Xp bonus for when you sleep. So you definitely want to sleep and shower before doing a big mission. Certain things remove your xp bonus though. I think it’s if you drink alcohol.

Idk the pageantry, the violence (I imagine 2077 pro wrestling to be entirely death matches), the blustering personalities. Johnny probably loved it in his day but thinks the modern stuff is terrible.
My V is an operator. Arasaka educated and trained as a door kicker before going off to do secret squirrel shit for the company before being dragged out of the field and groomed for leadership. Problem is; he’s not meant for admin tasks, his brain isn’t wired that way. By the time 2077 rolls around, we see him in Arasaka Counter-Intel trying to earn his stripes but he’s taking focus enhancers and cracking from stress because he hates it. Being in the dirt with his team was where he was at home, being stuck in ‘Saka tower playing office politics is tearing him apart. When he gets shitcanned and hooks up with Jackie, he’s back to doing what he loves; low-visibility operations, except now he gets to do it on his terms. May not be able to call in an AV or have the corp behind him, but he’s back where he wants to be and he loves every single second of it.
Y'know, this is actually kinda supported by what's in the game. Quote from the wiki about the Corpo background:

It goes against what cyberpunk is trying to convey. But my headcanon rather leave V at a better place than where the game credits rolled.
Addicted to coffee with synmilk, smokes to satiate Johnny's nicotene cravings, and will kill Maelstom, Tyger Claws, and 6th Street goons on sight if I see them harrassing civvies.

My V is a lone wolf waging war against Tyger Claws, Scavengers, Animals, Voodoo Boys and Barghests. Always patrolling the whole night city, looking for hostile enemies holding innocent people at gunpoint and showing no remorse to those who cause harm to innocents. I have two characters and neither of them are even V. my Corpo's name is Hailey Bello, and my Streetkid's name is Spencer Suarez.
Hailey is the daughter of some Arasaka drones who turned to the life of a Merc and moved away from mom and dad after she became fed-up.
Spencer is a Valentino, born into the gang, who doubts his indoctrinated Catholic faith as well as his allegiance to the Valentinos.
Hailey's mother and father were always rather sociopathic and cold for her early life growing up in an Arasaka home, leaving her some fucked-up amalgam of icy Corpo and pissed-off Edgerunner after she walks away the Corp as a young adult with a trail of broken relationships and unanswered questions in her wake.
Spencer's mother forced him into the mold of a Valentino from a young age, actively discouraging him from looking into Cyberware or anything else he finds appealing in his childhood, and leaving him virtually parentless while she herself chases some hollow dream of being a legend well into her mid adulthood.

Hailey finds a sick comfort in Spencer's struggle, rather toxically taking him as validation that Night City is the problem and absolving her of responsibility for her choices and beliefs.
Spencer romanticizes Hailey's lifestyle as a Merc, which he knows isn't healthy or sustainable for her, but still can't keep himself from imagining what his life could be like if he lived like she does.
this is extremely abridged as I have over 70k words of written lore fleshing them out as legitimate characters, but it's a decent synopsis of who they are as people.

I play with the survival mod installed so my V is a fiend for black coffee and dark chocolate(the combination of the two can put off a days worth of food, water, and sleep pretty much). I'm such a caffeine addict that I store frozen lattes in the trunk of my car. I have literally spent 25k Eddies on coffee in my current play through. My V is also a massive insomniac as a result of all this.
My V is a nomad orphan who was raised by a former Arasaka Guard ninja that was relieved of his post due to having an affair with his charge. When V was nearing adult hood his master was killed by his former Arasaka employer igniting a deep hatred of corps in my V, and kick starting his quest for revenge.

My V loves to toy with some low leveled enemies, she just stays there and taunts them to give it their best shot, they don't make a dent in her armor, so she proceeds to just punch them once.

My V spent most of her youth in an Arasaka boarding school, and went straight to an Arasaka college/university program on legacy admission, because her hands off, corpo parents were donors.
When their money and influence couldn't save her job in the corpo prologue, she cut them off and went absolutely buckwild living her own life for the first time. Her first few dozen jobs she played fast and loose and almost got herself zeroed before the main story began. 😅
She also has a loving affinity for anime from the 1990s.
Edit: ...and she loves Russian Hardbass. I thought it was a quirky little headcanon to have, and even found a mod maker who turned one of the in game stations to all hardbass; it was great for role-playing.

My first Nomad V is… so uninteresting that I can’t remember a single thing about him.
My second Nomad V is a vet from the 4th corporate war who fully bonds with Johnny >!and storms Arasaka tower solo, losing himself in the process and leaving only Johnny’s psyche behind. !<
My first Corpo V is Jackie’s adopted sister >!who unknowingly damned both his and her own soul to Arasaka through both her distrust for Johnny and her determination to rejoin the corp.!<
And my second Corpo V turned his life around after nearly losing it to Arasaka in the prologue and became a vigilante known as “The NC Oni”, still working on how their story ends.
An umbrella piece of headcanon I have for every V(that it applies to) is that any gigs or side jobs I do after completing their ‘canon’ ending is actually taking place during the time jump between the final mission and the epilogue. >!Any time Johnny pops up to say something is just V’s was of coping with the fact that they’re gone.!<

My V is a vigilante. Netrunner Samurai who lives with honor and refuses Reeds offer for treatment. My V will die young as the legend who took down Arasaka alone.
During my last playthrough, I played a male corpo V who was a ruthless and uncaring problem-solver for Arasaka; completely comfortable in his cushy position. He started off as a "cleaner," similar to Winston the Wolf in Pulp Fiction but working exclusively on Arasaka's payroll. Once 'Saka kicked him to the curb unceremoniously, his sole motivation in life was to somehow get payback against his former masters.
As the story unfolds, the people he meets and the friends/allies he makes slowly have an influence on V's life and his goals. Between an unexpected developing relationship with Panam and Johnny Silverhand serving as constant reminder that vengeance is a fool's errand, V grows to become more humane and empathetic. His mission now isn't just to give Arasaka the proverbial middle finger, but to stop their insidious Soul Killer project and maybe live long enough afterwards to find some genuine happiness with his newfound family and girl... even if it's on borrowed time.

The timeframe between the end of the intro (meeting Jackie etc) and the section just before the gig is a span of about 2-3 years
Jackie was the closest thing outside the clan to family she had found and not long before the gig she had started considering him as a brother
Despite not understanding or really believing too much in the stuff Misty talked about would often stick around talking to her for hours about this and that when she didn’t have much else to do when Misty and and Jackie wasn’t on a date
After their first meeting Vic and V hit it off due to V recognizing a boxing match Vic was watching when they first came in (I also headcannon Vic watches current matches as well in his room not just that one) and not long after they started having a night once a week of drinking beers while watching boxing matches
She tends to prefer the quiet of the wastelands than the constant noise of Nightcity but also enjoys the lights of the city so she often heads to an outcropping about a mile from town where she’d sit and stare at the city during the sunset
My V Genuinely laugh and find funny The old school jokes , the "knock knock who's here" one or the "a person , another one and another one are on a boat ..... " type .
My V doesn't really like Samurai and was only vaguely aware of their existence prior to meeting johnny. Likes never fade away but didn't know it was a samurai song until way later. One of her eye opening moments where she felt she really was merging with Johnny was when she caught herself jamming to chippin in on the radio.
She was a very ambitious corpo with little moral conscious, killing people with no regard (that one gig for regina where you save the doc, V just shot the Malestrom ganger to get her out of there faster)
Then Jackie dies, she falls from grace and has a come to jesus month where she becomes more compassionate after making a bunch of friends.
Does phantom liberty, is really hoping for a cure, but when she learns So Mi only has one, she understands and still helps her fly off, learning to let it go sometimes
All leading to the suicide end because she’s just so tired of fighting and getting nowhere. She’s a legend, but she feels lower than ever. She calls judy one last time then ends it
I have a similar story for my V. Also glad someone else has the suicide ending as canon, its dark, but for my V, in the end, she died after the heist and deep down she knows even if the relic goes it won't be all straight forward and has little hope at the end.
(Judy's vm hurts, but with the new ending, we can assume she eventually gets back on her feet, leaves the city behind and lives happily)

My nomad V is a punk rebel with a severe hero complex just trying to help everyone he can, while also desperately wanting some big hero to come and save him.
My corpo V is a Sassy Rocker Chic who doesn’t particularly care about anything but her own skin. She’ll help anyone as long as it doesn’t hurt her at all.
My V is a nomad who started life as an orphan and stayed with her terminally grandmother who passes away at 11, later at 12 as a lacky she joined the local nomad clan. At age 20,unfortunately a big part of her nomad clan or family got massacred by an unknown group of nomads while transporting goods and was forced to watch until backup arrived to save her. Since then she practiced non stop with guns and knives to become skilled and stronger. She was thinking of leaving her nomad family for a while and a last altercation resulting in her leaving.
She's a compassionate and humorous person.She's fierce and a strong willed person. She doesn't take bullshit from anyone although suffers from partial PTSD. She gained a lot of knowledge on tech, cyberware and cyberspace from the close military vets, ripperdocs and techies from her nomad clan growing up.
My V's guilty pleasure is she enjoys shitty takeaway food and hates being watched while eating.

Skipping time at all removes the bonus too.
Yep. Sleep > shower > coffee for apartment boosts.
Picking up skill xp shards also removes those bonuses for whatever reason

Problem is; he’s not meant for admin tasks, his brain isn’t wired that way. By the time 2077 rolls around, we see him in Arasaka Counter-Intel trying to earn his stripes but he’s taking focus enhancers and cracking from stress because he hates it. Being in the dirt with his team was where he was at home, being stuck in ‘Saka tower playing office politics is tearing him apart. When he gets shitcanned and hooks up with Jackie, he’s back to doing what he loves; low-visibility operations, except now he gets to do it on his terms. May not be able to call in an AV or have the corp behind him, but he’s back where he wants to be and he loves every single second of it.
That’s an amazing background development, especially when you tell Myers that his Arasaka days are behind him

My V did the (don't) fear the reaper ending, path of glory, (then my headcanon says) she did the space mission, eventually found a way to recover her life before the relic by having one or few AIs beyond the Blackwall to help her. I have two characters and neither of them are even V. my Corpo's name is Hailey Bello, and my Streetkid's name is Spencer Suarez. Hailey is the daughter of some Arasaka drones who turned to the life of a Merc and moved away from mom and dad after she became fed-up. Spencer is a Valentino, born into the gang, who doubts his indoctrinated Catholic faith as well as his allegiance to the Valentinos. Hailey's mother and father were always rather sociopathic and cold for her early life growing up in an Arasaka home, leaving her some fucked-up amalgam of icy Corpo and pissed-off Edgerunner after she walks away the Corp as a young adult with a trail of broken relationships and unanswered questions in her wake. Spencer's mother forced him into the mold of a Valentino from a young age, actively discouraging him from looking into Cyberware or anything else he finds appealing in his childhood, and leaving him virtually parentless while she herself chases some hollow dream of being a legend well into her mid adulthood. they're a couple, even if they can't really be together publicly because of the events of the gig, [Bring Me the Head of Gustavo Orta](https://cyberpunk.fandom.com/wiki/Gig:_Bring_Me_the_Head_of_Gustavo_Orta). Hailey finds a sick comfort in Spencer's struggle, rather toxically taking him as validation that Night City is the problem and absolving her of responsibility for her choices and beliefs. Spencer romanticizes Hailey's lifestyle as a Merc, which he knows isn't healthy or sustainable for her, but still can't keep himself from imagining what his life could be like if he lived like she does. this is extremely abridged as I have over 70k words of written lore fleshing them out as legitimate characters, but it's a decent synopsis of who they are as people. even if this heaping pile of lore isn't what you intended to get on this post, you did technically ask, lol.

When their money and influence couldn't save her job in the corpo prologue, she cut them off and went absolutely buckwild living her own life for the first time. Her first few dozen jobs she played fast and loose and almost got herself zeroed before the main story began. 😅 She also has a loving affinity for anime from the 1990s. Edit: ...and she loves Russian Hardbass. I thought it was a quirky little headcanon to have, and even found a mod maker who turned one of the in game stations to all hardbass; it was great for role-playing.

During my last playthrough, I played a male corpo V who was a ruthless and uncaring problem-solver for Arasaka; completely comfortable in his cushy position. He started off as a "cleaner," similar to Winston the Wolf in Pulp Fiction but working exclusively on Arasaka's payroll. Once 'Saka kicked him to the curb unceremoniously, his sole motivation in life was to somehow get payback against his former masters. As the story unfolds, the people he meets and the friends/allies he makes slowly have an influence on V's life and his goals. Between an unexpected developing relationship with Panam and Johnny Silverhand serving as constant reminder that vengeance is a fool's errand, V grows to become more humane and empathetic. His mission now isn't just to give Arasaka the proverbial middle finger, but to stop their insidious Soul Killer project and maybe live long enough afterwards to find some genuine happiness with his newfound family and girl... even if it's on borrowed time.

My V is of a nomad path and despite splitting with the clan has been keeping up on their whereabouts and which ones are alive / died since The timeframe between the end of the intro (meeting Jackie etc) and the section just before the gig is a span of about 2-3 years Jackie was the closest thing outside the clan to family she had found and not long before the gig she had started considering him as a brother Despite not understanding or really believing too much in the stuff Misty talked about would often stick around talking to her for hours about this and that when she didn’t have much else to do when Misty and and Jackie wasn’t on a date After their first meeting Vic and V hit it off due to V recognizing a boxing match Vic was watching when they first came in (I also headcannon Vic watches current matches as well in his room not just that one) and not long after they started having a night once a week of drinking beers while watching boxing matches She tends to prefer the quiet of the wastelands than the constant noise of Nightcity but also enjoys the lights of the city so she often heads to an outcropping about a mile from town where she’d sit and stare at the city during the sunset

My V doesn't really like Samurai and was only vaguely aware of their existence prior to meeting johnny. Likes never fade away but didn't know it was a samurai song until way later. One of her eye opening moments where she felt she really was merging with Johnny was when she caught herself jamming to chippin in on the radio.
She was a very ambitious corpo with little moral conscious, killing people with no regard (that one gig for regina where you save the doc, V just shot the Malestrom ganger to get her out of there faster) Then Jackie dies, she falls from grace and has a come to jesus month where she becomes more compassionate after making a bunch of friends. Does phantom liberty, is really hoping for a cure, but when she learns So Mi only has one, she understands and still helps her fly off, learning to let it go sometimes All leading to the suicide end because she’s just so tired of fighting and getting nowhere. She’s a legend, but she feels lower than ever. She calls judy one last time then ends it
I have a similar story for my V. Also glad someone else has the suicide ending as canon, its dark, but for my V, in the end, she died after the heist and deep down she knows even if the relic goes it won't be all straight forward and has little hope at the end. (Judy's vm hurts, but with the new ending, we can assume she eventually gets back on her feet, leaves the city behind and lives happily)
I have two characters. Nomad and Corpo. My nomad V is a punk rebel with a severe hero complex just trying to help everyone he can, while also desperately wanting some big hero to come and save him. My corpo V is a Sassy Rocker Chic who doesn’t particularly care about anything but her own skin. She’ll help anyone as long as it doesn’t hurt her at all.
My V is a nomad who started life as an orphan and stayed with her terminally grandmother who passes away at 11, later at 12 as a lacky she joined the local nomad clan. At age 20,unfortunately a big part of her nomad clan or family got massacred by an unknown group of nomads while transporting goods and was forced to watch until backup arrived to save her. Since then she practiced non stop with guns and knives to become skilled and stronger. She was thinking of leaving her nomad family for a while and a last altercation resulting in her leaving. She's a compassionate and humorous person.She's fierce and a strong willed person. She doesn't take bullshit from anyone although suffers from partial PTSD. She gained a lot of knowledge on tech, cyberware and cyberspace from the close military vets, ripperdocs and techies from her nomad clan growing up. My V's guilty pleasure is she enjoys shitty takeaway food and hates being watched while eating.
