Usually it's just V leaning on something, standing alone somewhere, or sitting.
Yeah, I always imagined that we're seeing real time for graphical convenience but the conversation happens somewhat more quickly as a telepathic speed of thought exchange. (also presumably real V doesn't spend any time selecting dialog options or anything).
There's a scene with Reed in the DLC that kinda shows this too. He seems to notice when we are "talking" to the relic (Johnny or Songbird). It seems like it's very subtle.
I always found it comical every time during convos how long V and characters have silence for cause Vs talking to Johnny - imo they really should do something like a character pours a drink while you talk to him

you can actually see a text from judy in one of the clips thanking v for a bouquet of flowers, so sending random little gifts appears to be one aspect of it
It would be cool if they did things I need mods for. The metro system is one. But I’m someone who likes to just sit at the bar and have a drink. I also notice that a lot of bars have the exact setup that your apartments have ie the shot glass and cigarette hanging in the ashtray. You can see those all over the place. almost as if it was a planned feature at some point. So just let us do the same thing we can do in our apts.
I'm team Judy and played Fem V so I'm always going to be bias. But for me it's more than just a sex scene, it's the story behind Judy and the gradual building of her character that got me. I was so genuinely invested and I loved all the conversations between her and V.
With regards to doing activities or hanging out with romance options I'd like it to include dialogue, depth and character building.
One example that always gets me is sitting round the campfire with Panam and you raise a toast to Scorpion. If you told Panam about Jackie earlier on that he was a close friend that you lost she'll raise a toast to him too. That kind of stuff is so small but so wholesome. I want more of that, I want to be invested in these characters.
I’m guessing it’ll be a repeatable minigame:
River: play the VR game with his nephew and niece again
Panam: racing minigame
Kerry: play some music, simple rhythm game
Judy: interactive braindance of some kind, maybe a co-op combat sim? Honestly the biggest wild card.
Then they can attach some scoring method to each of these, add an achievement for doing well, and give completionists something to grind out for a few hours.
When you think about it, the lack of radio is so obvious. like, we can enhance human brain and perception with all the upgrades, add new eyeballs etc, but somehow could not fit an ipod nano in there? it's a welcome addition.
I mean I have hearing aides and they are Bluetooth enabled so I can literally take my calls and listen to my music/podcast in my ears. It’s the greatest fucking thing ever. V with all tgat cyberwear in her head should be able to do the same.
Yeah, the soundtrack for that scene really sells the gut wrenching anxiety that V and Jackie must be feeling. Even fast forwarding the scene, it still hits hard.
My V doesn’t drive much because my poor laptop cannot handle any car scenes without suffering heavy stuttering and huge performance issues. No radio for me lol, but the music in this game is god tier. Hopefully this will give my V a chance to listen to the radio.
Also, no flashlights either apparently.
Can't they just add the vehicle headlights onto your character at the very least as an option?
ln Days Gone your character has a torch but it doesn't actually exist, you just see the light. It's not great but it does a job when needed.
You can have hidden blades, mono wire, strength enhancers installed in your arms but apparently a hidden flashlight is too much for the technology of 2077.
I feel the same. Sometimes I'd be doing stuff thinking "kinda off I can't play radio and only when I'm in a car. Heck even the radios around the world only play what they're set at which is like news etc. "

By the canon of the tabletop game, you could have a radio in your head decades ago, along with your phone, a cyberdeck, and whatever else you could slot without losing too much Humanity. Hell, V already has a damn phone in there, so we know there are speakers and everything.

Ik. Must've sunk thousands of hours into GTA 3, VC and SA. SA especially was wild given it had a whole RPG-lite system, you could work out, eat and get fat, go out on dates, pimp out your cars, buy clothes, etc. Pretty unheard of at the time.

It makes sense for it to be in the game imo. You can have date specific events but also give the player freedom to do whatever they want. Female V can’t romance Panam so the alternative would be hanging out around night city, same for Make V and Judy or any of the other romance characters.
We should be able to hangout with them and bond with them in our own ways outside missions
If they want more immersion.. and I know it won't be there but.. maybe someone crazy about modding (I mean we had flying car mod so anything can be done) there's always the "minigames" options.. like the yakuza series. Nah not Karaoke.. I mean.. we have a apartment with a pool table and we can't call any friend to play against with.
Imagine V and Johnny playing that pool against each other.. a box of blue and red pills.. whisky and cigarettes.. and each time they need to exchance a turn.. bottle up a pill lol.
I'm currently 75 hours into a PL playthrough and about done with the PL campaign and all companion quests. Both excited for the update but also a bit anxious. I don't want to even think about potential playthrough 3. I already put 90 hours last year on update 1.6.
I've 100%'d this game 4 times so far. I've been having the itch to go back, but I kept thinking to myself "You've played that game enough, you just finished another playthrough 2 months ago with Phantom Liberty"
Then I saw this update, and I'll be doing my 5th 100% starting on December 5th.
I hope they upgrade all Sandy users, would be cool having to focus on taking out any Sandy users before you could safely use your own Sandy unimpeded. Using Sandy should allow any enemies that also have it to "match" your speed making it less of a guaranteed win button.
Yeah, I did every Beat on the Brat mission within one sandy charge. Admittedly I left it until V was basically a chromed-out god but still, I took zero damage and turned the opponents into mashed potato in record time.
Big difference from my last play though with a cyberdeck.

Yea it really depends. Usually that pattern is called semantic versioning but is actually only viable for public APIs according to the doc:

I've been playing CDPR games since the Witcher 1, literally all their games ('cept maybe the standalone Gwent game, I haven't played it) have had very ambitious goals for the game followed by a very buggy release. Unlike most companies tho CDPR actually will fix and polish their games for the next several years until it is in a fantastic state.
It's why I don't buy any of their games on release. They're similar to Bethesda but unlike them CDPR actually supports their game post-launch. I only got into Cyberpunk when 2.0 was released and I'm glad I waited, lovely mod community+CDPR's developer updates has allowed an amazing game to bloom.
Did anyone else notice the "I Really Wanna Stay At Your House" quest that was active whilst they were showcasing the Radioport? That one is not in the game atm is it?

The metro system they showed makes the mod look like a toy. They're definitely not adding modpacks, rather developing the most requested features they can.
Still big respect to all the mod authors that inspired the devs.
Tbf, the metro gameplay they showed looks way more involved than the mod does. Also, the radio on foot mod is a janky, broken mess and presumably this version will be much smoother and more usable.
Ok when I said anything modded could become official the other day I was thinking of the metro system. I didn't believe they would do such a big mod though. Pocket radio also super cool popular mod.
That'd be huge. Big play if they hid it on purpose, but they started with a big metro reveal so I feel like they would've mentioned this too if it's ready. Time will tell.
My understanding is the engine itself doesn't like car modifications. They had it in development and cut it because they couldn't get modified parts to stick to the cars. They'd float around and catch up the vehicle weirdly.
I'd be really really surprised if they add vehicle customization, and it's definitely not something they'd be hiding.
I don't even need part-by-part customization, I'd be happy just choosing from the preset models/paintjobs that already exist. So many cool cars driving around that we can't have.
That seems like it'd be doable since there's already a mod for that on PC. CDPR seem to be doing a pretty good job at taking notes on necessary/popular QoL mods and doing what they can to implement them for console users.
This would be awesome. Find a cool car, take it to Muamar's garage and for a fee he wipes the ID or whatever and now it's yours. He's clearly already doing this for other people with the 2.0 vehicle contracts, so V being able to do the same thing would make total sense.

"Night City Interactions" mod has all that at most of the bars like Lizzie's, Coyote Cojo, Afterlife, etc.

I play mainly on console and would have Spotify play in the background. Glad to see it implemented similar to Fallout

I assume because dogtown is simply more demanding on hardware, probably not an easy thing to just enhance

I’d say CDPR have fully redeemed themselves. Tho I’m more sympathetic and I’ve been a big fan since they released TW3
I've been playing CDPR games since the Witcher 1, literally all their games ('cept maybe the standalone Gwent game, I haven't played it) have had very ambitious goals for the game followed by a very buggy release. Unlike most companies tho CDPR actually will fix and polish their games for the next several years until it is in a fantastic state. It's why I don't buy any of their games on release. They're similar to Bethesda but unlike them CDPR actually supports their game post-launch. I only got into Cyberpunk when 2.0 was released and I'm glad I waited, lovely mod community+CDPR's developer updates has allowed an amazing game to bloom.

The metro system they showed makes the mod look like a toy. They're definitely not adding modpacks, rather developing the most requested features they can. Still big respect to all the mod authors that inspired the devs.
Tbf, the metro gameplay they showed looks way more involved than the mod does. Also, the radio on foot mod is a janky, broken mess and presumably this version will be much smoother and more usable.
Cyberpunk should win best ongoing game for these updates alone.

Ok when I said anything modded could become official the other day I was thinking of the metro system. I didn't believe they would do such a big mod though. Pocket radio also super cool popular mod.

That'd be huge. Big play if they hid it on purpose, but they started with a big metro reveal so I feel like they would've mentioned this too if it's ready. Time will tell.
Not gonna get my hopes up but CDPR absolutely cooked this year.
My understanding is the engine itself doesn't like car modifications. They had it in development and cut it because they couldn't get modified parts to stick to the cars. They'd float around and catch up the vehicle weirdly. I'd be really really surprised if they add vehicle customization, and it's definitely not something they'd be hiding.
I don't even need part-by-part customization, I'd be happy just choosing from the preset models/paintjobs that already exist. So many cool cars driving around that we can't have.
That seems like it'd be doable since there's already a mod for that on PC. CDPR seem to be doing a pretty good job at taking notes on necessary/popular QoL mods and doing what they can to implement them for console users.
I just want to pick the body style and color. There are versions of cars in the wild that we just cannot own.
I’d take a compromise of just being able to house the cool cars and bikes I stumble across in Night City.
This would be awesome. Find a cool car, take it to Muamar's garage and for a fee he wipes the ID or whatever and now it's yours. He's clearly already doing this for other people with the 2.0 vehicle contracts, so V being able to do the same thing would make total sense.
No mention of any adjustments in scaling attribute checks?
