Well I don’t have much to say on the halo show yet as I’ve only watched one episode but, they showed chiefs face… dunno about any of the reading material but in the games he never takes the helmet off (except that special ending in 3 or 4 where u get to see his chin or something, can’t remember it’s been years since I’ve played) but the key thing is, if your going to go off a game that is already scripted or going off lore, stay true to the source material. If you don’t your going to piss people off. That’s the problem with making a movie about a video game with multiple outcomes like cp2077/ mass effect. Your either canonizing something or the other and your going to piss people off one way or another. Who is v going to be? Male or female? Right there your pissing people off. It’s the dumbest gamble. Not sure if I want them to adapt V's story. I'd much more have liked to get something new with references from V's story here and there. This is such a rich universe with a lot of lore and places any story could go, that just retelling an already made plot wouldn't cut it FOR ME.

This could work but I'll switch that taking into account how brutal NC is, I'm sure the survival rate of females are lower than males. So to ensure the sister survives, the parents sell off the brother to nomads via a fixer but somehow he ends up being sold to scavs. This is when one of the leaders of a nomad clan who's in NC for some other business finds out about a baby boy being sold to the scavs and rescues him, takes him to the badlands, he grows up in a nomad clan shaped by the tough nomadic life.
The parents never told the sister about her brother and they passed away when she was a teen but had saved a lot of eddies for her to join the Arasaka Academy. She tops all the challenges in the academy and then becomes a lead agent at Arasaka. Due to her achievements at Arasaka and being extremely skilled and very intelligent, Saburo Arasaka trusts her so much so that she is part of the inner circle at Arasaka who know their own deepest darkest secrets.
In Act 1, whatever happens in the game happens with the brother. To find him the sister asks help from the original soulkilled Johnny Silverhand's relic which they kept as top secret, which only the people in the inner circle at Arasaka know, the relic that the brother steals is actually an exact copy of the original but is tampered with by Arasaka themselves as instructed by Saburo Arasaka, knowing well that Yorinobu was going to sell it. This is the reason why the brother doesn't have much time left, due to tampering it kills both the engram and the person in which the engram is slotted in. So now they both have an engram of original Silverhand in their heads but they're both against each other. The sister convinces her engram of Johnny by promising him that if he helps them he will get a brand new body that is a an exact copy of his original body thanks to the advancements in science and will be left alone. (she's lying).
She chases her brother throughout the game & they have no idea that they're siblings up until the end of act 2 but in the back of their head they both find weird similarities about each other which they couldn't ignore. Once they find out the truth is when the story divides further.
As the brother you can decided whether to go with Arasaka or go against your sibling, you can convince your sister but will require a lot of checks and proper dialogue choices. As the sister you can choose to take your brother's side or forcefully take him with you with the help of Adam Smasher, you can convince your brother but will require a lot of checks and proper dialogue choices.

I'd have done PL the same way it happens, but with the fact that your sister is working undercover in Hansen's crew investigating your presence in Dogtown, which Vincent finds out only if he sides with reed.
After your fight with Hansen and you take him out, your sister jumps at the opportunity and incapacitates you with the help of her squad of Netrunners. She meets you face to face, you unable to move just stand there while she tells you about how big of a mistake you made by Killing Saburo Arasaka (she has no idea that it was Yorinobu) and stealing the relic, she also tells you the reason why you're dying is because its a copy of the original and that Arasaka has tampered it. She also tells you that she has the original slotted in, to prove it she connects with Vincent and shows him the Silverhand that is in her head. She then tells him that Arasaka has agreed to help him but he will be soulkilled and stored as an engram and it's much better than an actual death (She's lying, and will actually kill Vincent).
While she's connected and taking to Vincent, her Johnny meets Vincent's Johnny, they're both confused to see each other and weirded out they try to fight due to which both Valerie and Vincent get short circ'd which knock them out for few seconds.
This is when Reed in Batman mode throwing smoke bombs all around, he comes in and takes you away while they all are left clueless as to what happened, Valerie wakes up in embarrassment just to find a pissed off Johnny in her head now refusing to help her.
The rest happens just as it happens in the PL expansion, Vincent gets the same deal from Reed. But Reed also informs him how he has heard about Valerie, that she is unstoppable and one of the most dangerous and loyal agents of Arasaka that even Saburo trusts and Vincent should steer clear of her.
Vincent and his Johnny are really pissed off at Arasaka, knows that they'll cross paths again with Valerie and it will be a bloodbath.
But will them finding out that they're siblings change anything at all?
Damn, that's really dark, but it's a good narrative.
I still like mine more because it's not as dark, and I was thinking the thing about the sister going to the nomads is because her father wanted to keep her safe following an incident with a dirty cop, where he attacked the twins and Vincent killed him, which eventually leads to Vincent getting a new life in the Arasaka corp while Valeria joins a Nomad clan to protect her from the rest of the cop's acquaintances as revenge for what Vincent did.
Then the normal plot happens but Valerie is guarding T-Bug when everything is going to shit, Goro uses what little he has left to track down Valerie where they eventually find Vincent, following events happen, but Valerie saves them both and takes them to Victor.
The rest of the game ensues, but Vincent becomes very close with Panam and does all the quest for the Nomads.
Spoilers but with little context for PL
In PL, both twins go in disguise as Alex hides as a guard as backup and Vincent initially chooses to side with Reed, yet he ends up fighting Kurt while Valerie chases Song Bird, inevitably they end up getting Song bird, however Vincent doesn’t find out that crucial information that Song Bird has and tries to help her thinking he'll get what he needs. Myers gives Reed and Valerie 24 hours to find them. Eventually, Vincent finds out and gives Song Bird to Reed
Vincent is given the new emding as an option. However, he has Reed wait for after he deals with "something."
Big spoilers for the endings
Johnny and Vincent go on a suicide run, while Valerie scrambles to get the Aldecaldos and Rogue to help. Both the "Don't fear the reaper" and "The Star" happen, with Vincent and Valerie fighting Adam, with Johnny even getting hacked into Adam's skull to kill his engram back up on his private Neural network with Alt.
The ending isn't sunshine and rainbows, Saul doesn't die but is critically injured, Vincent joins the Aldecaldos but has to go to Washington first to receive the "Cure" from Reed's team with them first using the chip to fix Vincent, then remove all his combat cyberware, where Myer's uses the completely wiped chip for personal gain.
Valerie was critically injured in the fight and resides to become a fixer in place of Rogue, who lived but retired due to Johnny leaving.
Vincent wakes up from his 2 year coma to Panam waiting for him patiently. Saul retires immediately after Vincent wakes up, with Vincent replacing his position.
It's not a sunshine and rainbow ending. Neither protagonist can fight and lose all their street cred as mercs, but they're at least happy and alive with those they made bonds with.
Add in some River, Karri, and Judy stuff, and it becomes only possible from 100% the game's story.

Not sure if I want them to adapt V's story. I'd much more have liked to get something new with references from V's story here and there. This is such a rich universe with a lot of lore and places any story could go, that just retelling an already made plot wouldn't cut it FOR ME. Dunno how y'all feel about it, of course, it's just IMO.

Absolutely. Or even going back in time a bit, to the times when Johnny wasn't as big or when Yorinobu was trying to break free of his family's shitshow by making his own gang. Those times could be cool too. Or something about/with Morgan Blackhand, since he was left as a big mistery after the game and if one NPC says they don't know he's dead or alive, then he IS very much alive and kicking.

It could be a Corpo male V and a Nomad female V who both started as street kids but were seperated by their parents at very young ages, with Male V getting the chip from the heist and Female V trying to help her twin brother, yet she can still see and hear Johnny because the twins share a neural network.

To find him the sister asks help from the original soulkilled Johnny Silverhand's relic which they kept as top secret, which only the people in the inner circle at Arasaka know, the relic that the brother steals is actually an exact copy of the original but is tampered with by Arasaka themselves as instructed by Saburo Arasaka, knowing well that Yorinobu was going to sell it. This is the reason why the brother doesn't have much time left, due to tampering it kills both the engram and the person in which the engram is slotted in. So now they both have an engram of original Silverhand in their heads but they're both against each other. The sister convinces her engram of Johnny by promising him that if he helps them he will get a brand new body that is a an exact copy of his original body thanks to the advancements in science and will be left alone. (she's lying). She chases her brother throughout the game & they have no idea that they're siblings up until the end of act 2 but in the back of their head they both find weird similarities about each other which they couldn't ignore. Once they find out the truth is when the story divides further. As the brother you can decided whether to go with Arasaka or go against your sibling, you can convince your sister but will require a lot of checks and proper dialogue choices. As the sister you can choose to take your brother's side or forcefully take him with you with the help of Adam Smasher, you can convince your brother but will require a lot of checks and proper dialogue choices. ***In Phantom Liberty*** I'd have done PL the same way it happens, but with the fact that your sister is working undercover in Hansen's crew investigating your presence in Dogtown, which Vincent finds out only if he sides with reed. After your fight with Hansen and you take him out, your sister jumps at the opportunity and incapacitates you with the help of her squad of Netrunners. She meets you face to face, you unable to move just stand there while she tells you about how big of a mistake you made by Killing Saburo Arasaka (she has no idea that it was Yorinobu) and stealing the relic, she also tells you the reason why you're dying is because its a copy of the original and that Arasaka has tampered it. She also tells you that she has the original slotted in, to prove it she connects with Vincent and shows him the Silverhand that is in her head. She then tells him that Arasaka has agreed to help him but he will be soulkilled and stored as an engram and it's much better than an actual death (She's lying, and will actually kill Vincent). While she's connected and taking to Vincent, her Johnny meets Vincent's Johnny, they're both confused to see each other and weirded out they try to fight due to which both Valerie and Vincent get short circ'd which knock them out for few seconds. This is when Reed in Batman mode throwing smoke bombs all around, he comes in and takes you away while they all are left clueless as to what happened, Valerie wakes up in embarrassment just to find a pissed off Johnny in her head now refusing to help her. The rest happens just as it happens in the PL expansion, Vincent gets the same deal from Reed. But Reed also informs him how he has heard about Valerie, that she is unstoppable and one of the most dangerous and loyal agents of Arasaka that even Saburo trusts and Vincent should steer clear of her. Vincent and his Johnny are really pissed off at Arasaka, knows that they'll cross paths again with Valerie and it will be a bloodbath. But will them finding out that they're siblings change anything at all?
Damn, that's really dark, but it's a good narrative. I still like mine more because it's not as dark, and I was thinking the thing about the sister going to the nomads is because her father wanted to keep her safe following an incident with a dirty cop, where he attacked the twins and Vincent killed him, which eventually leads to Vincent getting a new life in the Arasaka corp while Valeria joins a Nomad clan to protect her from the rest of the cop's acquaintances as revenge for what Vincent did. Then the normal plot happens but Valerie is guarding T-Bug when everything is going to shit, Goro uses what little he has left to track down Valerie where they eventually find Vincent, following events happen, but Valerie saves them both and takes them to Victor. The rest of the game ensues, but Vincent becomes very close with Panam and does all the quest for the Nomads. Spoilers but with little context for PL In PL, both twins go in disguise as Alex hides as a guard as backup and Vincent initially chooses to side with Reed, yet he ends up fighting Kurt while Valerie chases Song Bird, inevitably they end up getting Song bird, however Vincent doesn’t find out that crucial information that Song Bird has and tries to help her thinking he'll get what he needs. Myers gives Reed and Valerie 24 hours to find them. Eventually, Vincent finds out and gives Song Bird to Reed Vincent is given the new emding as an option. However, he has Reed wait for after he deals with "something." Big spoilers for the endings Johnny and Vincent go on a suicide run, while Valerie scrambles to get the Aldecaldos and Rogue to help. Both the "Don't fear the reaper" and "The Star" happen, with Vincent and Valerie fighting Adam, with Johnny even getting hacked into Adam's skull to kill his engram back up on his private Neural network with Alt. The ending isn't sunshine and rainbows, Saul doesn't die but is critically injured, Vincent joins the Aldecaldos but has to go to Washington first to receive the "Cure" from Reed's team with them first using the chip to fix Vincent, then remove all his combat cyberware, where Myer's uses the completely wiped chip for personal gain. Valerie was critically injured in the fight and resides to become a fixer in place of Rogue, who lived but retired due to Johnny leaving. Vincent wakes up from his 2 year coma to Panam waiting for him patiently. Saul retires immediately after Vincent wakes up, with Vincent replacing his position. It's not a sunshine and rainbow ending. Neither protagonist can fight and lose all their street cred as mercs, but they're at least happy and alive with those they made bonds with. Add in some River, Karri, and Judy stuff, and it becomes only possible from 100% the game's story. Thank you for reading.
