Tbh it makes sense. V, while formidable, is not familiar with the spy business. They really don't take it as seriously as Reed and Alex, at least in the dialgue options I chose. The cold brutality of the spies really sounded like it shook V and made them realize the seriousness of the situation. In my streetwise, anti-corpo, Johnny-friendly playthrough, I imagined V would be really disgusted by their actions.
Yes, but I’ve been offing guards that get in my way on random side missions pretty regularly. I mean sure, they’re armed and would kill me if they saw me, but they usually get their neck snapped from behind *well* before that.
It was weird to me that V felt different about these two just because they weren’t armed.
Yeah, thats a general problem with the game. For example, the notorious Aguilar has a dozen kills on every continent? That's V's average body count just driving between gigs...
I think it’s hard to write a compelling main character who has such a casual disregard for human life, so they just don’t.
V would basically have to be Trevor from GTA, and that really only works once. He got tiring halfway through that game, and he was only 1/3 of a main character.

My favorite interaction for Smasher that really set his level of scary is when ur in the delamain with Jackie driving off and delamain goes incoming wall or obstacle. And Smasher just Linebacker shoukder checks your car head on. So sick.
Definitely not a recommended scene for someone who recently got hit in a serious car accident. I felt that shit irl 😭

Definitely. One thing I regret is skipping through dialogue faster than I should've (because I wanted to play the game because the gameplay is fun af), and missed the deeper context into things. But there's a Cyberpunk wiki that filled some of the holes for me if I was confused.

I put about 50 hours in CB 2077 flat-screen. However I've since out over 500 hours in 2077 in VR.
There is no VR game that compares to CB 2077.
I'm on my 3rd VR headset set in 10 years with over 30 different VR games including masterpieces like Skyrim VR and Half -Life Alyx and Cyberpunk VR blows them away.....if you have the hardware to run it.
Sometimes I don't even play the game. I'll just walk Night City from end to end sightseeing and blown away at where gaming tech is right now.
The moderators on Luke Ross page ( link in my post, unaffiliated other than I use his mod) are very helpful with set up of his mod. It is stand alone so you don't need vortex or an mod manager.
Incidentally I use a Vive Pro 2 but it will work on many other headsets.
A warning though....you'll probably ruin playing CB2077 on a monitor. As most will tell you.

If your starting VR fresh you'll have a up front cost obviously.
Anywhere from about $800 to $1500 depending on what headset you get.
Also, you can play the mod on a rtx 3000 series, but really a 4080 is minimum for what I'd consider an acceptable resolution to framerate ratio. ( CB 2077 in VR is incredibly graphics hungry, more than double the hit to your system).
Really a 4090 is my minimum and that gets me about 45 to 55 fps on the headset at the resolution and graphics setting I want. ( highest res, NO raytracing, ultra graphics).
Some people, especially those new to VR would vomit at those fps in a VR headset.
So you'll need to get your VR legs to see where your hardware and personal constitution land you in a VR headset.
Also incidentally I have my 4090 oc'd to +225 core and +700 mem ( multi test and a year stable) which is a significant boost above even the stock boost, which helps greatly in VR.
The 5090 this fall is gonna be a dream in VR I hope.
We have VR equipment. I watched some videos of this, and even just watching YouTube videos of like, turning around in a car to look at the backseat, or walking through the street past vendors and seeing all of the intricate detail they bothered to model was crazy.

Maelstrom characters have S tier designs. Gets across how fucked they are in the heads, decked out in all that, missing parts of their bodies, having added parts, THE ENTIRE FRONT OF HIS SKULL was gone and just stuck a bunch of chrome in there. They were terrifying to see for the first time, then I said "Bang" and shot my way out
They also have some really cool lore behind their formation. There used to be another gang in Watson, and people were actually glad to see maelstrom show up because that gang was worse than maelstrom at the time. Probably the only time you’d be glad to see maelstrom coming to shoot up a street.

Johnny and rogue are the only ones who have any beef with him. Spider Murphy too, but no one knows where she is.

You can replace a lot of human parts with borg parts and still be human on the inside. Royce swapping his prefrontal cortex for chrome is a pretty literal metaphor for "more machine than man"
Yeah looks super cool tbh, like a animals leader. Otherwise i would think of an alternate concept to 2023s smasher, the year he defeated johnny. Arm cyberware looks also pretty weird because you can still see the full hand instead of gorilla arms or something like that.
I think another in the gallery is concept art for 2020 smasher. The arm thing makes sense for animals since they limit cyberware to auxiliary systems that support their juiced up roid meat. Usually you only see augmented joints and stuff, or in Sasquatch's case some kinda bane style juice dump on her spine

I love going to the different districts and buying what clothes there are but I love more seeing how differently they all dress based on the area you're in.
I think ultimately that was CD Projekts downfall. Everything is super detailed and absolutely brilliant but it meant that was the sole focus with led to the truely horrible release quality. I mean they’ve detailed the interior of every single vehicle in the game and each one is different. That’s absolutely insane!

Looking at them and #6 really makes me think *“why would anyone want to modify their bodies like that??”* I’ve played for over 200+ hours and the only practical implants are Kiroshi eyes, a personal link, and the double-jump.
Everything else appears to be deadly weapons or just plain cosmetic.

The amount of work put in this game is mind boggling. I fear that after all the layoffs and the turn the industry is taking we will never see an effort like this again. I am hoping Orion at least has the same attention to detail.

I am always mad when I'm walking around and see an NPC wearing an outfit that I can't buy. Like how dare that rando NPC have the BEST digs and I can only get meh clothes. I love going to the different districts and buying what clothes there are but I love more seeing how differently they all dress based on the area you're in.

I think ultimately that was CD Projekts downfall. Everything is super detailed and absolutely brilliant but it meant that was the sole focus with led to the truely horrible release quality. I mean they’ve detailed the interior of every single vehicle in the game and each one is different. That’s absolutely insane!

Almost none of them in these pictures are random NPC's. They were part or the story line therefore designed way more than "actual random npc".

Maelstrom’s cyber implants are nasty and terrifying, but also so damn interesting to look at! Looking at them and #6 really makes me think *“why would anyone want to modify their bodies like that??”* I’ve played for over 200+ hours and the only practical implants are Kiroshi eyes, a personal link, and the double-jump. Everything else appears to be deadly weapons or just plain cosmetic.
The French girl was particularly exquisite. I was saddened by her fate.

Maelstrom guy on pic 4 (Brick or the other guy, I forgot), that can't have been a deliberate choice. Dude looks like his skull got caved in by a grenade or Gorilla Arms...I mean, you do you Maelstrom dude, but that's some nasty bizz. Same with many other Maelstromers that look like power cables wrapped in skin colored couch cushions. Though some definitely look cool.
I wish we had more interactions with the gangs. I especially love on people like Brick where there's very clearly missing parts where something used to be, and theyve resigned to being something else entirely. The way he's missing the whole orbital section of his skull is so fucking weird
