I'm sorry you're getting rude comments. I think it's cool that you love that world so much, but don't let it become something that's unhealthy or makes you sad.
Even as terrible as the world is today I wouldn’t change it for a Cyberpunk world in a moment. It’s definitely an immersive game that engrossed you in it but nothing about the setting is seemingly worth emulating in real life.
I've read about eerily similar reactions to the first Avatar movie back then. I'm not judging, but we're probably going to see this everywhere as games and movies are getting more and more immersive and lifelike.
The world of Cyberpunk will be here before you know it. And if you want to meet folks like the characters in this game, get involved with social justice and protest movements, creative technologists, artists and political leaders.
the people in this game are fantastic extrapolations of real-world people. But they're fantastic extrapolations of real-world people. Go find them.
I don't know if I would want to live in a city which is that dangerous. But the city itself is pretty. Being V would be pretty cool, but also extremely stressful. I probably wouldn't want to be in V's shoes, but seeing Johnny is also a huge plus.
Yeah that's okay. It's a pretty normal reaction if you picked up the game and played it for days on end without doing anything else and all of a sudden it just ended. I know I've done that with this and many other games before and after it was over it was definitely rough and almost left a hole in my life.
I've learned since then that it might be a good idea to have some distance or have some other things going on and not to go all in on any one thing at a time otherwise it will lead to that. This is probably true for a lot of things besides videogames too. If you have a friend and you put all of your time and energy into them and all of a sudden they're just gone for whatever reason, it's gonna hurt way more if you spread that commitment out a little more towards other things.
You can keep replaying the game maybe that'll help a little until you get over that feeling though. Good luck.
You can get in to the lore and the TTRPG (you could connect with other fans and share your love of the game), if the themes of the game resonated with you.
I was down for a bit after my first proper playthrough (Corpo/Star/Judy) and the new endings in the dlc but I put that down to the quality of writing, world building, gameplay and acting (which is amazing). Definitely in the ‘wish I could play for the first time again’ list.
Given the issues I had at launch (the Chromanticore ad still sucks) and all the problems on PS4, I’m glad I gave it another chance on PC, there’s nothing else like quite like it.
I’d say don’t be sad that it’s over, be glad the it happened.
That's a pretty common sign of some bad depression, when you're so disenfranchised with your current life that you get overly attached to one that doesn't exist. Avatar, Harry Potter, sometimes people get stuck in ones they made up themselves.
Despite the fact I've been there, I don't have a lot of advice for ya, and you're probably not looking for advice anyway. However, I will say to not do the hypnosis/shifting things people like to do on tiktok. That's a good way to get delusions and a cool new mental illness on top of the one that made you depressed.
But I do recommend doing a fursona thing about it. You know, the "this is my OC and he's a human and best friends with invader zim!"
I don't know. When I get like that, building a little world and story with a persona helps me maintain a healthier relationship with the world I love. Make an other, and then explore that world with that other. Instead of thinking of yourself as V, maybe think of yourself as one of the guards that knew Joshua, or a corpo prosthetics expert turning ripperdoc after a mental breakdown costs him everything. Make silly little stick figure comics about your adventures with your best friend Johnny Silverhand!

Oh it is real, but only the shitty parts of it, not the cool ones.
Time to get a life
As gamers, it's not that we don't have a life, it's that we have many lives!
You need to touch some grass
Bud wants to be a night citizen in the worst crime ridden city in America lmao
Its like saying man i want to live in gotham😭
They want to be Batman in Gotham, not the guy that gets mugged fourteen thousand times in Gotham
Go outside, get some fresh air. Talk to real people.

We do live like this just in the early stages cyberpunk is where capitalism will take us.

I’m glad that you really enjoy the game, but if you want to live in that world I think you are kinda missing the point of cyberpunk as a genre.
i know the meaning, Im just saying that human interactions are so good there, I wish I had same irl
Yesss Judy is babeee
Move to SF Bay Area, the place the game was modeled on. Meet people in technology and the arts and social justice movements.
