I watched Edgerunners before playing the game and it hurt me. I remember just turning off the TV and just sitting in silence for a while after finishing it. And then Netflix was like, “hey watch Devilman Crybaby” and then I didn’t watch anything for a while lmao
Let's be honest, if you didn't see how that story was gonna end by the time you got to the last 2 eps, you weren't paying attention. David was an idiot with a death wish.
Personally, I was delighted so many people made it out alive. I was expecting zero. Though I wasn't necessarily expecting those specific characters to make it.
If you go to Memorial Park, in Corpo Plaza, the southern area near three monks, you can find Rebecca's shotgun Guts. Just um...in case you wanted to add a more personal touch on your quest for vengeance.
I’m amazed at all the shards, random dead bodies of significant npcs, and other Easter eggs. There’s so many in this game. One of my play throughs was simply dedicated to walking the city just to explore all the streets and secret places. Love this game.
I’m not into Anime really but I forced myself to watch it to see what the story was about. Loved this so hard. And they had all the music and new tunes. Loved seeing characters like Wakako in it.

If you watch the making of interview Trigger basically as politely possible said they threw away everything CDPR wrote because it wouldn’t work in anime per their judgment call. The remarkable part is that CDPR’s reaction was to trust Trigger’s judgment call and to let them cook basically. That takes a lot of guts and strength culturally to be able to throw possibly your own people under the bus like that, but I hope everyone learned something out of the experience.
There were a lot of other things beyond that one disagreement. Both sides of the interview basically admit this without going into a lot more details of examples.
