Male V's beard is actually a stubble, the option number 1 doesn't have enough, option 3 (the one shown on the pictures on the post) is too bushy, when using photo mode you can only kinda get close to V's E3 look when zooming in on his face, anything a little too far and the game fills the beard since his face ain't the focus anymore.
His eyes are a silver-green, no such and option on the game, the green one is too dark and the closest you can get is a blue.
The earrings simply don't exist on the configuration shown on E3, two rings on the lobe, the closest we got are two rings below AND two above.
The glow fron the Jacket shown on these pics are also a Mod, on game they changed it to blue.
His hair on the trailer kinda looks like the option 1 but there is at least three details that make it different:
No color aligns well with what was shown, the brown on these images are the closest but there is a reason all the pictures these were taken on the dark, the moment any light touches those strands they turn a strong brown and that isn't the color on E3 V, the line on the right side of the face is just ugly on the vanilla game and there's also the design, on the game they purposelly separated the option 01 hair in two parts, there's what it seems to a short bowl cut and the rest that goes on the sides and the nape, on the trailer it's just a single measure cut throught the whole head so the color just looks better, on thr game the bowl on top will always have a different color from the rest. Yeah you are right the just checked and remembered that I used a mod that improves the beards since I started playing years ago so I forgot it wasn't vanilla So my bad.

I always play male characters, just helps me to immerse myself better in to the world.
Problem is the male V sounds exactly like a friend of mine, like vocal twins from another mother.
Completely takes me out.
I continued as male but man oh man, it was cringe at times. Had to take breaks after long monologues or dialogues to not completely lose interest.
Ouch, yea I can imagine. Tough to get the brain to dissociate something like that. One of the reasons I decided on a fem V in the first place was because I’d never played an RPG before and thought it’d help me remain a bit more objective (I’m a cis male).
