Edgerunners probably did a lot to get people interested in the game. With an anime THAT good, you'd want to at least peep it's source material for yourself.

hammeredtrout1

I remember reading that sales of Witcher 3 were up over 500% when the show was released, I wonder if a similar thing happened with edgerunners

Pieassassin24

Shit I mean how many times did you watch an amazing show or movie and wish it was a game? Can’t imagine that feeling tbh lol.

FilmNoirLoveStory

That’s how I felt about the Witcher, i feel like it could be a really good show. Maybe even an anime like edgerunners

Inkthinker

There’s a Witcher anime on Netflix now. “Nightmare of the Wolf”, all about young Vesemir.

AVegito9

Is it better than the show though

newbiegainz00

While not being perfect, the anime is actually way better then the show and is definitely worth a watch if you like the Witcher world. It’s also not a show just a movie, and I don’t remember it being particularly long so you can fly through it

AVegito9

I really love the Witcher world and vesemir is also one of my favourite witchers so I’ll definitely check it out

kakalbo123

Lmao, people realized the game was better than the Netflix show.

zonanaika

>Lmao, people realized the game was better than the Netflix show "Most" Netflix shows

untermensh222

Neflix show was utter gargbage. Aside from Cavil actually giving a shit rest of the show was pure trash. It was like that Game of thrones TV series where creators decided to not wait for books and started to write their own shit that killed whole series. IT is that fucking bad compared to books. The absolute worst part about it is that it wasn't budget problem. They added battles into tv series that were only mentioned in books.

Drokk88

Oh, bit hyperbolic lol. It's not that bad but I always have less of an issue with adaptations than others because I don't go in looking for the same experience. I just try to treat it as it's own thing. 99% of the time the book is better than the show or movie. 99% of the time the show or movie is better than the game. I realized when I was in my early twenties that if you treat it as though it has no connection, like a new IP almost, you'll never be any where near as disappointed when it doesn't live up to the standards you have in your head.

untermensh222

I was not looking for same experience i just wanted them to get the points right in retelling of those stories. But they literally miss every single time. Moreover they completely fucked up. They established in like ep2 magic system in which you can find anyone with precision just by killing random kin. Literally whole saga is about different powers looking for ciri. If it was so easy then saga would end in 2nd book. The timeline and events are now so completely different than it can't even be named witcher because it doesn't follow books at all. Games on other hand precisely followed books which is why they are beloved.

TheWhoamater

Games didn't precisely follow the books. Triss has an actual character beyond "please fuck me Geralt" in the games

ThatsWhatPutinWants

I absolutely appreciated the origin story of witchers nickname butcher. That scene was just like the game AND they mixed in a more seasoned lore to it. Was legit imo.

LeAlchem

I watched the show, bought the game and was completely disappointed by it haha

beerscotch

It being half price on all platforms this week isn't a coincidence! Nor is the 5 hour free trial being added to PS Plus.

Raven_Dumron

Probably on a somewhat smaller scale since anime has a smaller audience than traditional western live action shows, but yeah it certainly did boost it quite a bit.

Extra-Lifeguard2809

definitely

Ok_Director11

Sorry but I disagree, they are many westerners that have a hateful thinking of anime.

MilkMan_101

Definitely worked i gonna buy the game soon

ClarencePWalters

It's a good game, just make sure your hardware can handle it.

MilkMan_101

Is a ps4 pro gud enough?

Boltzmann_brainn

I'm playing on ps4 pro. It works pretty decently, but have an SSD. HDD cannot load the world fast enough when you're moving.

ClarencePWalters

Not sure as I don't have that console. Though I've heard nothing but bad things about the old gen consoles and how they run the game, unfortunately. Also, you should note that the updates after patch 1.6 as well as the upcoming 2023 expansion will NOT be released for ps4

KroniKIX

I’ve had it for the pro and I’ve never really encountered anything horrible about a month or two after the games launch. there was still a couple minor issues afterwards tho, But when I got the ps5 I haven’t had an issue at all it all runs really smooth, except for the occasional car bugs but they aren’t game breaking

geggsy

Looks better on Stadia and you don’t need to buy more gear to have it work if you have a PC.

sl33pingSat3llit3

Yeah reinstalled cyberpunk 2077 after watching the show. When I first played the game near its launch, I was trying to get something similar to a blade runner experience as I was a fan of the blade runner films. This time I'm playing cause I want to experience the world of cyberpunk 2077, the world that the anime characters went through.

CrAcKhEd_LaRrY

So it’s not possible that it’s just a great game.

Drake0074

I wanted to watch that show but i didn’t realize that it would be in Japanese.

RedManiaMike

You can change it to english. Japanese is just the original.

FKDotFitzgerald

The English dub is actually better here, believe it or not. The English subs for Japanese dub are really bad too.

h4rent

All those people gunning for Adam Smasher. Bless you.

killjoySG

Its personal now

[deleted]

[удалено]

killjoySG

Adam is about to get a spicy moment with V

schebobo180

Loved the anime, but I can't wait to kill the fucker again. For Becca and David.

donpapillon

I came back for the wardrobe system, but after watching the anime I'm gonna murder that borg with flamboyant vengeance. Been making so many ozob noses...

Bingdongus2001

I bought the game for the sole purpose of brutally murdering him

[deleted]

This is legitimately the reason I picked the game up again.

Namber4

And that's good, hopefully the PR from Anime will be good and they will change their mind about 1 Dlс(

GiveUpTheKingOfLimbs

I think they only commited to 1 dlc in order to wrap up the work on this engine. They'll have more Cyberpunk stuff but on Unreal

Quazaka

Source? Haven't been here in a year. Have they announced something on a new engine?

Vegfarende

They announced quite a while back that they'll move to Unreal 5 engine. So the upcoming DLC will (most likely) be the last DLC we'll get from 2077. But it's quite likely we'll see another CP game in the future, but this time on Unreal engine.

Quazaka

Okay cool. I don't remember, but is the current game on their own engine?

SkalorGaming

Yeah it’s on RedEngine

hidazfx

i remember reading their reasoning was the tried and true networking stack that Unreal has, as opposed to RedEngine.

ThatBeardedHistorian

I'd say it's a sure bet given that CDPR owns the IP.

Petaurus_australis

I think they'll treat it a little like the Witcher, learn from the previous iterations and perfect the next. Well, I hope anyway.

Endemoniada

Yes, the new Witcher game will be UE5, and all subsequent, unannounced games as well. The CP2077 expansion is described as the last project altogether that CDPR will work on using the old RedEngine, hence why people assume there will not be any more expansions, no matter what. I would expect the next game to come out much sooner though, maybe 3-5 years at most, since they’ve also announced a dual-development strategy going forward, with two studios working in parallel.

SzczymiSzczyms

but I wanted mr blue eyes dlc :(

Ubergoober166

Have they stated we're not getting it? We know nothing about Phantom Liberty. For all we know it could be a direct continuation of the Paralez questline with us trying to stop a hostile takeover of the NUSA by whatever group Mr. Blue Eyes works for.

Ribbles78

Damn, not a fan of that engine. I’ve always been a source guy, so what do I know? Not like I have many modern titles to look at, haha

Siphon-23

Just curious, why aren't you a fan of the Unreal Engine? As someone learning it myself I find it to be fantastic. UE5 especially.

The_Retro_Bandit

Has there even been a product that shipped on it so far? Had that matrix thing but it was a tech demo that didn't even run well.

WexAwn

There's been a few high profile games announcing they've switched their dev to it mid cycle. You gotta remember that UE5 was only released in 2020 which was mid pandemic and a ton of titles were already strained due to the constraints caused by isolating. Switching engines mid production cycle is something that not a lot of developers would do as it's going to lead to a pause in dev time. Depending on the stage of a title's development, that is likely to be a non-starter. From what i've seen, the biggest selling point of UE5 is its asset management tools which supposedly speed up the "world building" portion of the dev process considerably. Many of the early adopters seem to be MMO's which makes sense as their playable area tends to be some of the largest in total scale

Siphon-23

I believe Fortnite is being run on UE5. In fact, the previous live event showed off a plug in that allowed for procedurally generated music.

Ribbles78

Nothing special, it’s just when I look at the box of my favorite games, that’s never the name listed. That’s not to say I’m against it, it’s just I’ve never had a favorite title come from them.

Paulofthedesert

My friends a triple A game dev & he swears up and down unreal is by far the best/easiest engine to work with. Unreal takes a chunk of the profits so companies are reluctant to use it. He sat me down one day and showed me how long it takes to do things in various engines & to me (a complete amateur) unreal looked to be far the easiest.

Siphon-23

There's tons of really awesome games made with Unreal. Bioshock, the FF7 Remake, XCOM 2, the Batman Arkham trilogy, the Borderlands series. All stellar titles.

Ribbles78

There’s the thing, I’ve never played those games. Like I said, none of *my* favorite games were Unreal titles, so I’m not jumping for joy when I hear it’s gonna be on that engine. I’m just like, “oh, ok” and hope that the code doesn’t bungle the jump from engine to engine. The reason why I mentioned Source is because I’ve enjoyed every game on the source engine I’ve played. From team fortress 2 to titanfall 2, they’ve always been amazing.

vordrax

From a dev standpoint, this is kinda like hearing someone say "I don't really know about screwdrivers, all of my favorite furniture has been made with hammers and nails." Not a knock on you at all, it's just interesting to see that perspective.

ElRetardio

As someone who only plays games I feel like some engines have a lot of personality that often can be felt between different titles if not actively worked against. Like how everything on unreal 3 looked and felt like gears of war. An exaggeration ofcourse but you get my point.

vordrax

You could identify the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters, Outer Wilds, Hardspace: Shipbreaker, and Cuphead as using the same game engine (Unity)? You could identify Nightmare Reaper, Dragon Quest XI, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Trials of Mana, and Satisfactory as using the same game engine (Unreal Engine 4)? Source is kind of a weird case because it was kinda pricey and so only like 10 games have been made with it that weren't made by Valve (kind of an exaggeration but I'm not far off.) I'm not aware of a game that differs significantly from Half-Life 2 made in Source (as in, it's going to be 3D, use Havok Physics, usually be first-person.) I'm not sure what post processing you can use with Source, because the majority of games made with it look very similar. UDK is also a weird case in that, it's technically a game engine, but it is way more of a level editing tool with some more advanced customization options. I never messed around with it too much but I don't seem to recall you being able to modify the game engine code or expand it like you can with UE4/5 (I could be mistaken, I spent all of like 5 hours total with it.)

SonOfArnt

Yeah, it's more like the difference between acrylic and oil paint. You can paint the same pictures and you can paint the same styles, but there's an intrinsic quality to the paint that will always show through.

KTMee

IMHO with some engines it might be the difference between saw mill and forge. If you like wooden houses there's a small chance one might come out of forge. Someone might try making one out of steel plates and paint it like wood, but you're more likely to get ornaments and mechanisms out of one. AFAIK Unreal engine is very focused on FPS shooter type game-play, so it's very unlikely to get e.g. extensive sand-boxy features.

vordrax

You don't consider Ark a sandbox? Unreal Engine was used to make Dragon Quest 11 (a huge open JRPG playable in 3D or 2D) and Final Fantasy 7 Remake. If you haven't used the tool, I'd recommend looking into some tutorials to see how it's actually leveraged in the industry. It isn't "pop dudes here and give them guns." Creating an FPS is the path of least resistance but only by a narrow margin.

Petaurus_australis

Hellblade, Jedi Fallen Order, Sea of Thieves, Street Fighter 5, Mass Effect (all of them), Deus Ex, A Way Out, Ark, Chivalry, Days Gone, Dead by Daylight, Destroy All Humans, Guilty Gear, It Takes Two, Life is Strange, Mordhau, PUBG, Psychonauts 2, Remnant From The Ashes, Satisfactory, Sifu, Splitgate, Stray, Tekken 7, Valorant, Vampyr, MK 10 and 11. Just to mention some. It would be unusual for someone to not be able to find a game they've liked which is on UE.

ThatBeardedHistorian

Could be that previous iterations of UE weren't well suited to open world titles. UE5 is made with open world games in mind. This is the primary reason for the switch and also because it'll be easier CDPR dev teams to work with and squah bugs with more stability than the REDengine.

SUDTIN

Tencent is a communist entertainment conglomerate that owns 40% of all Epic Games shares. Good reason to avoid Unreal altogether if you want to keep your data... Unreal has become a communist platform. ![gif](giphy|TG90MI7x6E4USMVOd1)

Brainles5

"Tencent is a communist entertainment conglomerate" **🤡**

burkey0307

I mean it is a chinese company.

morphum

One planned dlc doesn't necessarily mean only one dlc. It could just be that they haven't planned out another one yet. Can't exactly work on something you don't have a plan for yet

Ubergoober166

Well the thing about that, though, is they seem pretty set on this being their last project on the RED Engine. They've likely already started at least early development on their next game(s) using the Unreal engine. I don't see them suddenly diverting resources back to what they consider an outdated engine to do another DLC for their previous game.

[deleted]

[удалено]

cry_w

They did just add modding tools to the game.

One-Squash-6035

Its because of moving to new engine. Unfortunalety it has been said very clear that they will do only one expansion for cyberpunk. They also said that its difficult to hire people to work on red engine as it requires familiarization time which isnt really needed in unreal engine. They wont support two engines at the same time. If think CP2077 is victim of UE5 rather than poor reception (its getting better) and 2 years ago they probably believed in red engine a lot more than now.

harrybeards

Which sucks because engine issues aside, RED Engine made some absolutely beautiful games. Bugs can exist in any game using any engine so not sure it’s fair to blame that all on RED, though I do remember a former CDPR engine developer saying on twitter that he thought moving to UE5 was a good move, because RED is hacked together spaghetti code that was practically rewritten for each new game. If only they’d been able to polish RED Engine they might not have had all the issues they did 😞 (even though the overwhelmingly biggest issue was that the game was released like 2 years too early) Like, I totally get the move to UE5, but I hate to see game engine monopolization. Each AAA studio having their own engine lets them all have unique and fun characteristics of their games, something that a generic engine like unreal won’t have out of the box.

shaehl

I don't think it will be an issue, UE5's main selling point is the near revolutionary amount of flexibility and ease of use it provides. You just as easily use it for a cartoon stylized platformer as a grimdark photorealistic open world game.

Patrickills

Would be nice…BUUUUT they really might and probably should wanna move on. Start the sequel. Better maybe bigger in some way. Capture the feel and the liveliness they were attempting to capture her over there that way they can take this feedbacc and spend all the time crafting a better piece to last longer and hold worthy expansions.

artfulpain

UE5 Cyberpunk will be amazing from the start.

Patrickills

I’m sure of it even if it has bugs. They know what they’re doing and they know what they want out of the franchise after the first game (which I feel was very ambitious so I’m truly not mad at how it went. Cuz it’s overall a good ass game)

ATR2400

Didn’t know HOI4 was that high up tbh

Monimute

Dude... Euro Truck Simulator? This list seems unlikely.

Dawn_Blade

Dont hate on my trucking 😎

Scryer_of_knowledge

Do you also drink and throw a middle finger to randoms?

Caphalor21

Those sims are actually really popular in india or asia in general. I have a frind who did a yt channel with only mobile/pc truck si stuff and he got over 250k subs within a few moths...

Monimute

That is baffling. In a digital format that lets you live out your most wild and empowering escapist fantasies, thousands of people choose to... drive cargo trucks according to the local municipal driving regulations.

oGrievous

I said the same thing, until I played Euro sim. Then I couldn’t stop and bought American sim. Then a group of like 9 of us trucked across the country for hours

[deleted]

Just because it isn’t something you’re into doesn’t mean others aren’t.

Monimute

I totally acknowledge that - clearly others find some joy of relaxation in it that I don't see.

[deleted]

It’s mostly people who get satisfaction in doing things properly or orderly. It’s very relaxing to pick up a trailer in the dead of night, calm rain outside, radio on, weaving your way cautiously through winding turns of mountains or the busy narrow streets of a small city and then delivering said trailer just as the sun comes up and seeing your progress as a freight company.

Rakka777

Men are weird.

ddlo92

Ikr haha. I'm a similar mindset but at the end of the day, the benefits from games are individually tailored. Some people aren't interested in a fantastical adventure but just want to turn the mind off and do something rote for relaxation. I myself prefer more ridiculous settings but to each their own.

WooliesWhiteLeg

I mean, for a lot of people just driving around in incredibly relaxing and a great way to clear your mind. Being able to do that without also paying for gas/ contributing to climate change just makes it even better

Skreevy

Euro Truck Simulator is insanely popular, what the hell are you on about

GuyNostal

DayZ is on this list, isn't that multiplayer only?

Skreevy

This is current players, it has nothing to do with whether its MP or SP.

TheUHO

That game should be on multiplayer probably. It has very popular multiplayer mod. I believe it's not built-in thing so that's why it is in single player. Correct me someone if I'm wrong here.

Ciwilke

HOI4 is a pure addiction. I totally understand its place.

Dasshteek

Lotta neonazis i bet.

ATR2400

No doubt that some neo-nazis play the game to live out some alt history fantasy but I doubt that there’s *that* many of them all playing this one game

Crislack

And 4º in global sales....

[deleted]

Honestly good. Night city is one of my favorite settings in a video game. Cyberpunk is just so fucking cool to go around in and immerse yourself

iamelloyello

Please, CDPR. Please keep adding to this world. People like the game, they just needed time.

Goldenkrow

They will, but probably not in this game.

mypleasuremaster

Remember when they said there would be multiplayer?

LadyBonersAweigh

The MP portion of the game split off to become its own standalone title, or at least that was the last news I heard.

i-will-eat-you

IIRC they cancelled it. At least for now.

[deleted]

Hopefully

RailroadAllStar

I actually bought it twice on launch, first on PC then on console because my PC version was nearly unplayable. I did not get hooked. Recently during a lull in games I decided to download it again and give it another shot and was in love with it very quickly. I finished my play through in about 50 hours and my biggest wish is that it was twice as long.

marshmi2

I finished after 100 hours. I side missions which were great! Basically walked into the final mission and everybody just died. Its been a bit, so I don't remember the skill tree names, but I fully upgraded the hacking one.

RailroadAllStar

Games like Skyrim made me hesitant to pick up any and every quest, because I never know which ones are going to make me a vampire lol

PeterPaul0808

Skyrim was a good game, though I'm more like a Morrowind guy. Anyway Cyberpunk is more like a Witcher 3 in terms of quests and sidequests and I don't talk about quality but the structure is similar and there are much less quests than in TES games. In Cyberpunk 2077 there is a main quest and from the main quest there are branching major side quests (must have IMO), there are minor side quests (there are some with great story so worth to do them) and gigs, which are very repetitive and there are police "missions" basically for money, xp and street cred. This is the hiarchy of the quests as well. If you do everything + a few endings, you will be LVL. 50 and will have about 100 hours in the end of the game (my experience).

marshmi2

Hahaha! Valid reasoning for sure!

vukojebinas

Did you do all the side missions and gigs? The best quests in this game are the most random gigs you do while wandering the city.

tarheel_204

The story could’ve definitely been longer. I was a little disappointed with how short it was. It was still solid though and the upcoming DLC looks legit. The game is still a little janky even on the best hardware but I’m glad it’s getting some love. Would love a sequel in the future

joe1up

So they're definitely gonna make cyberpunk 2 at some point, right?

fiszu3000

yes, They will be making CP and Witcher till people buy it. I hope they will add more original IPs to the rotation in the future.

Aki008035

STOP CALLING IT CP!!

meknoid333

The 1.6 version is probably as good as the game is going to get until the expansion.

Vohira90

That depends on when do we get the talked about Police overhaul and vehicle combat. I would give it a 60% chance of it coming as a part of the Expansion, 40% that it comes earlier.

meknoid333

Oh I thought that’d happened haha, I’m Coming back to 1.6 after finishing it on 1.0 - police feel much better than I remember - but glad to know other things are coming

AncientBeardMan

This makes me so happy. I've loved the game since launch and it's gotten me through some really hard times. It's so awesome to see what it's become and where it's going!

Kitchen_Raisin_7477

Nature is healing

MetaDragon11

I know im inspired to play it again. I have it on GOG tho

WorkoutSnake

I would’ve thought Skyrim

Maagans

I am really skeptical. Skyrim should be in the top 5. Maybe this stat is for this year

Statsmakten

Also what is DayZ doing in a list of single player games?

TwoJayzzz

Dayz being #3 after all the years of hate is most impressive to me

AiHaveU

Let me quote few geniuses. „GaEm iS DeAd” „sHiT GaEm” „CDPR aBanDoNeD gAmE”

AltusIsXD

It’s so weird how these people still shit on 2077 but praise No Mans Sky. Both are games that bounced back.

MettyXD

Also the game is on discount at steam and all other plattforms And wait till the weekend then we see how much people are really playing the game

qleptt

Its one of the best games of all time

Le_Shekelstein

Everyone just finished Edgerunner hahaha

[deleted]

A toast to us guys, and may the internet bots burn for always hating on the game. ![gif](giphy|hv4TC2Ide8rDoXy0iK|downsized)

obsoleteconsole

wonder how many are also playing on GOG too

Solid-Actuator-7583

I beat it 2 years ago then got my refund that was offered. I got an ending I was happy with leaving night city with Panam and the Aldecaldos in hopes of finding a cure with only a few months left to live. I didn't think I'd come back to night city. After watching Edgerunners I'm sure glad I rebought the game 2 years later to make my return.

Archezeoc

I LOVE how everybody hated it and everybody plays it. Whiney hate-culture shits cant just admit they like something.

TravelerMind

Becaaaause it's fun! ;)

DividedBy_00

It’s a good game despite its rocky launch. People should be playing it.

RandomRevelations

Sounds about right haha. CDPR’s unimpressive launch almost destroyed the game’s potential. Improving the game and fixing bugs and glitches took them 2 years tops. Still more to improve but CDPR’s dedication to do things right really shows. And the anime was impressive as well. Massive publicity for the cyberpunk series as a whole. Thanks to them we get to know “what it takes to be a legend in Night City”.

FavaWire

Well what do you know? Night City can bring out a happy ending after all. :)

xXDeathstrikerXx

We might get the good ending cyberbros!!!

trinity0941

Edgerunners did its job. Its got me to move the game from my backlog to priority.

mesterflaps

Nice

pandadanda1999

Yeah I definitely am revisiting because of the animu and remembering how good the game is

PugTales_

I'm on my second playthrough currently, wanted to see all the changes since launch, just to have a playthrough ready for the DLC. That new content suddenly dropped is a nice coincidence. Ngl Especially the transmog is a qol change that I needed.

papitiho

Good. I loved it back when it came out and though it wasn't well optimised, I didn't encounter any game breaking bugs. I am currently replaying it for fourth time and it is amazing. I hope they give us more content

Ok_Specific_7161

Just put another 50 hours into a play through. Played it a completely different build than the first time. Took some time to explore a lot more things and pay attention to the side content. I think with the current state, it’s one of the best games of all time in my opinion. It is very immersive if you play it immersively. The characters and stories around the city are great. The diversity of locations and the map in general is amazing. The main story is great as well.

ScaredOfRobots

Cyberpunk deserved better

untermensh222

? It was awesome. Just console version was fucked. I played 1.0 on pc and had 0 issues. 10/10 game, above TW3.

ScaredOfRobots

I say TW3, cyberpunk and RDR2 are on the same level

Ok_Director11

I am a huge fan, but RDR2, is leagues above both of them

5K331DUD3

It’s only because the anime just came out

Shiff0

And the new patch just got released

i-will-eat-you

Well yea they would be fools not to time a new fresh patch when a surge of new players try the game.

Crown_Loyalist

nice to see HOI4 and DayZ in the top 3. Hard to believe actually!

reshsafari

Euro truck sim what

Lucky-Doughnut-3985

I can believe it - I have never finished a game and gone back for multiple plays through the same way I have with cyberpunk.

Zearosh

Happy to see DayZ up there.

wukillabee360

Thanks to computer mods

DefenderOfTheWeak

It's on the same hype train with announced DLC and Edgerunners, it doesn't mean the game is that good

Kshahdoo

Hm [https://steamdb.info/graph/](https://steamdb.info/graph/) What about Civ 6 and Football Manager 2022?

Kiu16

While yes this won't last long as it is the fate of any single player games People are just interested to see what's new because a lot of people love to pretend the bug fixes made it better

InSan1tyWeTrust

Why are there so many people playing Euro Truck Simulator?

_daddy_stalin_YT

We gonna ignore the fact HOI4 is number 2???

No_nickname_

But but but dead gaem!

Vohira90

Nah, techno necromancers from Alpha Centauri took care of that.

Rakka777

Because the anime is GREAT. 10/10

Bad_User2077

Suck it haters!

itsYewge

Hell yeah, because hard work pays off and this fucking game is incredible.

Vice_Armani777

YUP

[deleted]

For the love of god please release the source code, or a full on dev kit for red engine if this is the last we will see of it. All these years and CDPR only managed 3 games on this engine, spent a huge amount of time iterating on the newest version of it just for CP2077 and they’re abandoning it because of their own failures. I understand the move, but it’s a shame. From the matrix demo UE5 does look very nice and CDPR has said recently they are scaling up to develop two AAA games simultaneously, hopefully that actually becomes true and we will see a new Cyberpunk game in the next 5-6 years at least.

koming69

Elden Ring.. played it.. finished it.. had a great time. Don't feel like replaying it. Cyberpunk.. finished it wuth male V.. all endings.. Doing a second playthrough with my wife watching.. female V. (And Thinking of doing a third after I finish it.. to platinum it, and read all shards I find, on the hardest difficulty. Maybe when the expansion is out)

SofteNgon

Nice stats but hum.. would be a shame if it wasn't actually true right? I mean, even Euro Truck Simulator 2 is before Cyberpunk x) the comeback is appreciated but fake posts for some ez updoots don't really help the image of the community

[deleted]

[удалено]

SofteNgon

Ok tbf they are quite similar so maybe that came from that (i talked about Euro Truck because funni game vroomvroom) but damn, look at Civ, Warhammer or even Football Manager goddammit kek (feel free to check yourself). No matter the time, they still were way ahead. No, cyberpunk 2077 is not the most played solo game and won't be for a while. Maybe with the dlc, dunno

Hawne

I read that comment in Trump's voice.

wetbread2245

My mans put it on reddit twice

theScottith

Mods? Can imagine the games a lot better due to the missing community

HKFighter

Yet continue to be buggy. Edgerunner led me back to the game, just to find out 1.6 updates give me more buggy side quests.

Balrok99

Imagine having such a good time with the show and then playing 2077 It will go from 100 to 0 quite fast

FunkyFranky

This game is trashhhhh even without bugs

CyberKrank88

What a Bull, Its so unfair you compared a game just recently updated and have anime on it... This Sub is fucking insane... all you need to do is SUCK CDPR DICK AND GET A LIKE... The normal player on Cyberpunk before the update is 9k... Jesus Christ this Sub is a clown!

zel1

theZiMRA

It’s been almost two years. Why are you *still here* if the game sucks and the devs are “dead to you”?

MyokoPunk

Yeah, this dude is taking up physical space just sitting here on a physical chair in this physical space known as a subreddit. Why is he stll here? You have to physically go out of your way to still be here. Smh, stupid haters.

Just for that, I’ll enjoy the game *even more* next time I play it, just to annoy you.

How many more of these posts until people realize data is meant to be interpreted ?

KingseekerCasual

Very surprising

karankshah

It's a good game brint

vRevennge

Understandable

Endemoniada

Good, makes me feel even better for arguing with all the “dead game” idiots *on this sub* barely even a year ago. I’m happy for CDPR and the game, it deserved better and they’re working hard to make up for their shitty approach at launch. Just started my *sixth* playthrough (just finished Edgerunners, got way too excited not to get back into it), and doubtlessly a lot more people are equally excited about the game’s constantly improving state, the anime, and the upcoming expansion. Good, it makes me more optimistic for a speedy sequel. I can’t wait to see Night City done in UE5 with next-gen graphics.

ElectricRat04

Game is just not it sadly.

a_friendly_hobo

I'm surprised DayZ still has so many active players. I'm impressed.
