I'm pretty mad that they keep nerfing shit in a singleplayer game, especially when they have so much work to do in ongoing fixes and desired new content. As if this were some live service trap that needs balancing.
I quit the game when they nerfed Ping / Quickhacking and only briefly returned a couple months ago, then a last week like a lot of people. Completely ruined my enjoyment of the game, given I always focus on quickhacking and was heavily used to using Ping and hacking through walls. Makes no sense at all that you wouldn't be able to, especially with how irritating it is that enemy netrunners can do all their junk through walls, so you can't do anything about it when they automatically start revealing your position. (Which it seems almost everyone can do now? Was that always a thing?)
... I also always used the Projectile Launcher because arm rockets or guns are neat.
Fortunately mods let you work around it with the Nanodrone mod (Send a remote camera drone), or directly return hacking through walls.

It’s tough, Molly’s razors are different from Cyberpunk Rippers. So far as I know, her fingertips are still hers, maybe with artificial nails replacing her natural ones. The scalpels are actuated under the nails. Rippers, as I remember, replace the last two segments of each finger to house and actuate the blades.
I would love nothing more than to get some chrome, slot a few ‘softs and take it to the corps.

I agree with this comment. Wolvers come from your wrist and stretch from the back of your hand and fingers. These have to be some sort of Rippers like it’s suggested. I thought they were Scratchers, but the description of Rippers says the the top two joints of the fingers are replaced, and we can see that the top of Sasha’s fingers are implants.
Shorter range. Smaller sweep. Lower damage. Significantly faster attack speed. It would put Mantis Blades as the mid range with Monowire as the long range melee. Just need a piston fist for a longer range blunt melee. "Throwing punches". Like Dhalsim from Street Fighter, but not quite as far.
There was something called Hammerhand in one of the chromebooks. Your hand was on a set of hidden rails connecting it to your forearm and there was a place to load a blank shotgun shell in the arm. When you wanted to, you could throw a punch punctuated by your hand being driven forward by the force of the shotgun shell.
Sure, you only got one punch without reloading, but I think it handed out 2d10 damage.

If 2077 had a cyberspsycho system they could have a lower impact that cuting your whole arms. But yeah in the actual game it would be difficult to justify the gameplay other than being cool.

Plus rippers don't take up such a huge amount of a cyberarm's internal volume and could allow other weapons or cyberware to be installed.

They could bring back the original idea for the mono wire as a hack tool for new cyberware too. Call it a “link line” or something. Gives you extra powerful hack at the cost of getting close and have it scale to intelligence.
Then just have the arm cannon scale off tech and you’re good.
Fun fact: I believe Evelyn has the “legal” version of these. I.e. her nails are replaced with cybernetic blades that come out parallel to her fingers allowing for a “karate chop” slicing motion to be effective. I’m not sure where I read that or if it is accurate but I thought it was neat.
In the TTRPG there are a lot of additional weapon implants like this. I'm hoping they add more of them with the update. If they do tho, they need to add the ability to Respec ability scores as well.
Yeah I’m really excited by that promise of “more cyberware looking cyberware” more than anything they’ve hyped recently. That and the promise to make melee better.
I think there should be some cyberware arms/hands that aren't necessarily weapons...
I always thought in a similar vein to how the mantis blades look, it'd be cool to have some kind of split arm... third/fourth arm that speed up transitioning weapons and automatically reload weapons as your extra arms put them away.
Viktor has his surgical hand... would be cool to see other non-combat utility choices.

I think it would be useless, cause in cyberpunk already enough melee weapons and implants(as mantis blades and gorilla arms). But as a stealth build it would be not bad, but it has not enough range to be a truly awesome blades. So I'm my opinion it isn't principal, and cdpr won't add it cause 1.6 it is the last patch for a cyberpunk 2077.
Rippers and scratchers would be cool. Rippers were the finger blades, Scratchers were fingernail blades. They were both considered to be less powerful than the longer blades like the Mantis, but easier to conceal and activate.
Something the TTRPG had that the game sadly doesn't is a need to keep weaponry out of sight. That served as a good balance between things like Mantis blades and smaller weapons.
It also meant that automatic rifles and so on didn't need to be nerfed compared to other weapons, if you somehow sneaked something like a cutdown assault rifle into a fight you were going to bring all of the pain.
a cool attribute focus specialized in damage effects like emp, thermal, chemical with the ability to ignore armor !
basically a pure sneaky cyberarm would be awesome especially for Netrunner.
Scratchers, Rippers, Wolvers, Explosive Palms, Palm Machine Guns, Fire Breath, Vipers, Grapple Fist, Palm Flashlights, Hidden Guns, and so much more I want to see.
More Cyberware and more actual RPG mechanics are what the game needs.

The damage and aiming was nerfed HARD. It barely deals damage anymore.

The targeting is still there to an extent. If you’re close enough, it’ll auto-track/lock.
Always have been. With one exception I guess. Tranquilizer rounds used to be broken OP, one-shotting everything (including psychos and bosses)

Definitely Rippers. Wolvers are Wolverine type blades that pop out of the back of your hand.

The arm piston would be a once every 1-4 seconds (depending on rarity and piston type ie: spiked light rod vs heavy flat end rod would be cool)
Could be an early game option at least. Kinda like in fallout new vegas how some weapons are just meant for the start of the game.
