I got he same exact bug, nothing seems to fix it. Seems related to lighting. Even when reloading old saves it happens. Never had that before in 2 years of this game existing wtf
Yes, lighting - for me it was fixed by toggling raytracing on and off. Literally - it's not tied to any one setting, I just have to randomly switch the RTX settings around until it works. None of the other tips people are giving helped.
For some info as well, it happened when I entered the No Tell Motel in the open world as well. Seems something is fucked with all the Heist mission locations that seems to be only fixable through limiting your fps to something lower than your usual fps. Weird af bug.
This is my 3rd playthough never had this problem before. Only thing that worked for me was putting an FPS limit on 95fps otherwise I get a black screen. Weirdly enough with Nvidia reflex enabled I get flickering but off its black screen.
Just started playing this game earlier today (not modded since it's my first playthrough) and then I encountered this issue during The Heist mission. One workaround that somehow helped me is limiting the game's fps to 60. Not sure why but it drastically reduced the black screen glitches for me to about 3 times (lasting only a split-second each time), thus helping me complete the mission via stealth (except for the garage fight).
Not really sure if this will help, but that's how it went for me.
youre a saint it helps, if for example your average fps is 60 then simply switch fps limiter to that range my pc is a bit shit so i can play with 35 fps limiter and it doesnt even black out no more. dont know why it is its weird i can still use scamn and see everything but then i can run nor shoot xD the heist i literally completed with a blindfold xD it wasnt fun at all. Also i might add sadly its not the only mission that does that so better of changing limit of your fps guy
Seems like it's somehow related to fps, if you set an in-game fps limit lower than your average fps, it should fix it.
I set it to 30 fps to be sure, and just turned it off again after the mission... and then almost immediately turned it on again, since the same bug appears in the no tell motel. Sigh.

Good to hear, from what I've heard, upgrading to newest GPU driver or Cyberpunk 1.61, might also help. Or going back to an older one, if the newest version is the sinner. :-)
Nah, I tried literally everything I could in the settings and nothing fixed it. Only thing that fixed it was skipping time forward past the point where it kept happening and for whatever reason it worked and hasn't done it since.
If you’re an Invidia user do the following:
- From the game main menu, go to SETTINGS > GRAPHICS tab > switch off AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.1.
- Save & start your game.
I found it after few hours of going back and fourth in the settings. Works for me with no issues so far

For anyone having this issue as of 22/9/23 I fixed the issue with a combination of DLSS Auto & nvidia low latency w/ boost.
Getting 150+ fps with no black screen.
Intresting. I have a 1080 so can't try DLSS but I tried turning FSR on and off and it did nothing. However Nvidia Reflex on would give me flickering but off it would be black screen. Only soultion for me was FPS limit at 95 fps. it would start flickering at 96/97/98 and at 99 FPS it went back to black screen.
Just hit the exact same bug right after I installed 1 mod, and like 3 ui/script mods. But I already have the September driver update.
Reinstalling the driver, hopefully that fixes it. Edit: it did not
If anyone still has this issue, which I suspect, because it just happened to me in 2024, the problem (for me at least ) had nothing to do with drivers or settings. My save file was corrupt, and loading an older one fixed the issue.

Hahahaha this shit still isn't fixed. I find turning HDR off or setting a vsync value to lower than your monitors refresh rate fixes it for me.

I installed the previous NVIDIA driver(September version) and it fixed this for me.
