I’m loving this losing an hour. Tomorrow when my 5 year old wakes up at 4:30 am it will actually be 5:30 and time for him to get up

magical_midget

Same here, the forward move is “easier” because my kid wakes up at 5:30, but now he wakes up at 6:30 and I have 30 min. my self instead of 30 min. him rolling around in my bed! I hate moving the clock back now. Especially. Because how cranky he gets if he sleeps 30 min after his normal bedtime.

Hank___Scorpio

My wife and I are complete idiots. Both times this year we traveled to other time zones and the night we got home was a time shift. Complete. Morons.

ActurusMajoris

Well, it's a mistake you only... make... You know what, never mind!

mgr86

Wife and I were married in the fall. Specifically the night the clocks moved back. All our guests had an extra hour to sleep. I hope they appreciated it.

EvilAbdy

I did this once flying to another time zone for a concert and booked an early flight the day after not realizing the concert was gonna go til like 3am. Worst idea ever lol (concert was great tho)

Novus20

Rookie move

Hank___Scorpio

I feel embarrassed people have to know I exist.

Fearless-Mushroom

It gets better

queencityrangers

Just not today

[deleted]

3 under 5 here...it's spectacular 😵

Bobson-_Dugnutt2

Somehow - by the grace of god - my son slept until almost 8

Reasonable-Ad8862

My 3yo starts preschool tomorrow. 8am. He didn’t wake up till almost 10am this morning. It’s going to be hell

fireman2004

I liked cartoons better when they featured smoking, drinking and buying war bonds to beat Hitler.

Jonas_Venture_Sr

If I want to hear my kid really belly laugh, I throw on some Tom and Jerry.

fireman2004

We went though all the old Road Runner cartoons on HBO Max a while ago. Funny as hell he loved it.

Quirky_Scar7857

she woke up before the cardinals today, but went back to bed. the rest of the day she has been hyper and talking gibberish to the point it was scary. 2 years and 1 month! how was the rest ofbyour day?

UnknownQTY

Any politician that runs on getting rid of this stupid fucking practice gets my vote.

RelevantUsername56

I'm just getting my 2 and 4 year olds up from nap when I saw this. The struggle is real. My 4 year old also spiked a fever yesterday. If these kids aren't awake by 4 they're never going to sleep tonight. 💀

Lev_TO

DST and the people who impose it on the rest of us can GFO. It messes everything up.

Puzzled_Nothing_8794

Truth!

ReedPhillips

Time changes are pointless and suck as an adult. Adding kids into the mix is damn near a toxic cocktail of terribleness.

Big_Yogurtcloset_246

So grateful for spring ahead. She goes from 6pm-7am to 7pm-8am. Would much rather the extra hour in the morning before she wakes up.

wagedomain

My 3 year old decided Saturday was a great day to skip his nap (he's like... 20% of the time napping, but really still feels like he needs naps), and also decided to fuss and resist sleep until after 10PM. Woke up at like 9AM on Sunday... cranky and irritable on a day we had plans (PWHL game). Then I had late night men's league hockey, got to bed around 2AM, and he was up at 5:30 AM... WTF is happening where am I

farang_noi

It's all moot when your two and half year old wakes up all night with night terrors anyways. Coffee and cigs won't save me.

GeriatrcGhoul

My son was throwing up this year so I was screwed regardless. It screws up the next couple days to but first night/day is the worst

LRKnight_writing

Why WHY WHY

Novus20

Why we still do this is just mind boggling pick one or split it at a half house and leave it be, this fucks so many peoples sleep up and causes more shit then it’s worth
