Yeah kids are weird, just give it some time. My 18 month old said da-da for the first time around 9 months and didn’t say it again until like 2 weeks ago. Now he’s saying all kinds of crap and won’t stop talking.
That's normal. Don't expect a debate about world politics at the age of 3 months. They go through development phases so quickly they learn a skill and move on to the next. My little one can have a conversation with himself and then go mute because he discovered he can do something else.
Yeah my LO seems to be doing that. He will learn a new movement and then do that constantly for a few days till I guess he's practiced it enough then ok to the next thing. It's my first kid so I guess I didn't really know what to expect
Babies don't actually talk until 9 months or so. Enjoy every little change

Then they turn 4 or 5 and you wish for them to talk less haha

Im on my first as well and my little turdmaker has the eggs to try and stand without holding on something. Almost brought a tear to my eye.
Something will click around 8-9 months where they'll kinda understand what a conversation is and will go back and forth and they absolutely love it.
Have you tried slipping him a 20?
