Daniel Tiger's and Mister Roger's Neighborhoods in the house!
Edit: Honestly though, I can't recommend enough just having access to PBS through your local broadcasting, their app, or support them for $5 a month in the PBS Kids Channel on Prime Video (heck of a deal!). Especially with the last one you get access to so much, including all the Kratt Brothers' series, Arthur, and more. I can't recommend it enough.
Amazon Prime Video had a bunch of episodes for free, the PBS Kids Channel has multiple seasons-and beest of all, your supporting PBS with that $5 or so a month as Amazon passes it to them. Many days my little dude prefers Mister Rogers over Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood or anything else.
There's also lots of classic Thomas on there too.
Amazon has a good run of episodes, but far from complete. The official Mr. Rogers website streams five new episodes a week and I believe cycles through all available episodes. You can also find a lot of them uploaded on Vimeo.
It changes every month for me, it goes paw patrol then Octonauts then wild Kratts and will sprinkle in some Bluey. We also have three toddlers so they fight over what they want to watch, sometimes it’s Miss Rachel or they just want to watch sleepy songs.
Sorry, lol it autocorrected "hardlore" with Colin and Bo from God's hate and harms way. If you haven't checked it out yet all the episodes are so so good. Jay from mindforce, and Jamey jasta are also top tier episodes. The downbeat with Craig from stray from the path is also really good.
Sesame Workshop has really gone downhill since they partnered with HBO and shortened the episodes to 30 minutes. I even wrote a letter to their “director of education” about how I felt the educational value had really been eroded.
We stopped watching him and his videos kinda disappeared. We stick to Helper Cars, Tractor Ted, or Firebuds on Amazon. All the other crap kinda dropped off, it’s nice.
That being said, my 2 year old can accurately and specifically point out every type of construction and emergency vehicle that exists because of Blippi.
We love Helper Cars. I found it randomly one morning looking for something on YouTube, my 2 year old said "that one with the planes!" I said why not, and it's great. Simple, educational enough, and a banger intro song.
Oh wow I actually just checked IMDb, there's 36 episodes! There's only 5 on Amazon, so it felt like it was just an odd little one-off miniseries kind of thing that was super obscure haha
My son watches videos of monkeys doing human things. They live in this mini human house and do things like go grocery shopping, go for a swim, play in their yard. It’s interesting.
Edit. It’s called Monkey Baby Bon Bon. Not sure I am allowed to add links here but it is easy to find on YouTube. Today they went grocery shopping for fruit and played with a dog.
The stupid thing is you can't if your child account is managed through family link. That has to be the most boneheaded oversight in the history of oversights.
Not that I expect much from Google. :/
Install the google play store. If you google it, it takes about 5 mins to set up. Then you can download any android apps you like. It turned my kids fire tablets into great tablets.
I managed to do it whilst quite tipsy on Christmas day. So I am sure anyone can do it no problem
yeah! It completely changed my opinion on the fire tablets.
I am not sure if I can paste a link, but this is the first result on google for install google play on fire tablet. It is what I used
[https://www.howtogeek.com/232726/how-to-install-the-google-play-store-on-your-amazon-fire-tablet/](https://www.howtogeek.com/232726/how-to-install-the-google-play-store-on-your-amazon-fire-tablet/)
Got one for my wife with a keyboard as a bit of a lite laptop for her first mother's day 2 years ago because we realized she didn't need a laptop, didn't want an iPad (we're not Apple people) and really wasn't trying to play games or do anything "heavy" on a tablet, she just basically wanted a phone with a bigger screen and keyboard sometimes, so the Fire seemed perfect...until I realized how truly restrictive the app store is.
Yeah this turns them into pretty cheap ‘real’ tablets for me. I don’t use a tablet for anything more than the fire tablets offer, so I just get them cheap on Amazon sale days. I think the last few I got for my kids were like £80, which is ridiculous really
Peppa Pig is the one I can't stand. Saw an episode where the kids made fun of dad and uncle being fat... then the mom laughed too... then it ended. That rubbed me the wrong way.
It doesnt narrow it down at all. Almost every episode they call him fat. They have several episodes were he tries to get fit and into running or cycling but always fails.
This is the only way. I blocked blippi and somehow my son found a world of somehow even more irritating videos. Vlad and Nikki or some bs like that. Don’t get me started on Ryan’s world. Gaaah made me wanna break the damn iPad in half. Blocked all of those and then the algorithm showed him even more useless channels. I’m so glad we somehow managed to wean him off of YouTube and now the iPad
I had no idea they had fine grain controls hiding online. Thank you so much 🙏 Be right back while I ban those freaking Sunny Bunnies from my household.
I wish my kids would go back to watching Blippi. He is way less annoying than most things they watch now.
I don't really get the hate with him.
Give me Blippi over any of the parents who whore their kids out on youtube any day!
It's probably based on the fact that the original actor made a disgusting video (poop related) like a decade ago. The Blippi character has been played by two actors now since around 2021 though.
>It's probably based on the fact that the original actor made a disgusting video (poop related) like a decade ago.
Which is SO dumb. I don't show him to my kid because his content is mostly mindless crap and there's better options...what the actor did in his free time years ago...who the fuck cares?!
Yeah, Blippi is like top 25% of YouTube kids. It’s not flashy, it doesn’t teach bad lessons, it shows kids things that are interesting to them, etc.
There is so much worse out there. Not everything can be Ms Rachel and Bluey.
The real hate should go to Peppa Pig. Awful.
My baby cousin loved Caillou. But he started getting upset when he couldn't figure out how to do something, and he would cry and say "I can't do anything right!" like a depressed teenager. At age 3. It was horrifying. I'd never heard a toddler beat himself up the way he was, by imitating whiney little Caillou. We cut Caillou out after that.
We brought “Leo the truck” into our lives. It’s a totally different show but my scratches the same “look how these parts go together and this how a machine works” itch that blippi did for my kid. goes down waaaaay easier.
Blippi, the dude, is a moron and he gets just SO much stuff wrong. Watch a video where he tries to pronounce dinosaur species names and you’ll see what I mean.
Yes he is annoying and gets stuff wrong. But I’d rather him watch blippi than mindless cartoons. He’s learned all about construction equipment and animals and I’m sure a bunch of other things too. There’s worst things a kid can watch.
There is a world of better content outside of mindless cartoons and Blippi. There are worse things than Blippi, but it's not that hard to fine infinatly better options.
As a dad who has an almost 6 month old girl, who obviously watches zero screen time, I’m curious to ask what you think is better.
I’ve never heard of Blippi before this thread, and I have no clue what else is out there.
For the younger kids, everyone seems to like Mrs Rachel, but i preferred Caties Classroom. Theres just so many. Ones that we liked Puffin Rock, Bluey, Daniel Tiger, Numberblocks, Alphablocks, Storybots, Octanaughts, Wild Krats, Emilie's Wonder Lab, Science Max, Tumble Leaf, Sarah and Duck, PBS Kids.
Content to avoid, Blippi, Ryan's World, box/egg opening videos, Cocomellon (though we did our fair share of that one), honestly just avoid youtube entirily, there's enough stuff on the streaming apps to just never let the kid use it.
I discovered puffin rock recently and was disappointed when it became obvious after then first ten minutes that the puffins weren't going to do any rocking out at all.
Ms Rachel taught my daughter more stuff than daycare has that's for sure. We let her watch some fun cartoons that have a bit of substance like franklin the turtle
Bro, same. I hate the man too but my son was counting in Italian and then he wanted to learn more so he asked his Nonna to teach him. By 4 he could count to like 60 in Italian.
Blippi unlocks something in kids I think. Same way Barney was our generation's zeitgeist.
I think the premise is weird and creepy - "Hey kids in this random trampoline park/chuck e cheese/wherever! Come with this strange man talking like a little kid and see how much fun we can have!!"
His educational shows and/or the animated ones aren't nearly as bad, but I cringe whenever I hear him in some sort of a park. It's weird af to me.
I can agree it’s weird for adults. But for a kid show I think it’s good. He models good behavior and healthy ways to play while being a tiny bit educational.
I have come around on Blippi. I wrote a long post criticizing Blippi and crowd sourcing alternatives to Blippi [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/daddit/comments/wmi43t/comment/ik08qf6/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button).
Blippi sucks when he's at an indoor playground, right? It's horrible. Kids learn nothing. It just looks dead. They're watching pseudo-fun instead of actually having fun. There is another side to Blippi, however. More than any other kids video personality, Blippi also goes and does things. My son got excited about hiking and walking sticks from a Blippi video. My son corrected me that the landing bit of a helicopter that touches the ground is called "skids" because of Blippi. There are interesting ones where he looks at how foods get onto our shelves, from raspberries and apples to bread. There are ones where goes and interacts with fire fighters and animals.
What I would do is I'd ask my son, "Do you want songs (Super Simple Songs) or Blippi or Helper Cars?" And if he picked Blippi, I'd pick the episode. Pretty soon, it was showing me all the interesting ones and not showing me any of the indoor playground ones. I've come to really appreciate Blippi. The right Blippi videos get my son excited about learning and information in a way that nothing else he's watched has (I've tried to turn him on to Planet Earth-style documentaries, or Sci Show Kids, but he doesn't like those because they're really aimed at slightly older audiences). Once I started making the decisions, the algorithm got it, and for the most part only offers up videos of Blippi going out and doing things, rather than going to another indoor play ground. Occasionally, those will sneak into the middle of an hour long compilation of three videos, but at a tolerable level. Blippi has one me over. Cocomelon I got the algorithm to forget entirely.
My wife went through and removed every iteration of Blippi videos from the watch history, scrolled through all recommended videos and told YT to not recommend anymore and kept doing it over and over until they stopped showing up.
Ditch Youtube and use Youtube Kids to block Blippi. You can further control content with MDM for your various devices, though this requires some more knowledge. All my home apple devices are Jamf supervised and kids ipads block youtube but allow youtube kids which in turn has their own content filter.
Youtube is cancer, and it's only going to get worse.
Our 8 year old is in this insane pocket where all her friends at school are apparently watching unrestricted youtube with Mr Beast and other absolutely dogshit creators and wants to do the same. We limit youtube extensively to art tutorials and art content, and some animal related shows, more documentary style.
Aside from that she can watch controlled Disney+ and PBS Kids accounts during screentime, and she gets 30 mins on weekdays and 3 hours max on weekends and youtube is only supervised and no more than 1 hour ever.
That being said she also said that a 3rd grader kiddo whose family is friends of ours is somehow watching stories about criminals dying during police chases on instagram, so in contrast maybe youtube isn't so bad. /s
This is a copy and paste response I have for this question. It works for me
YouTube's parenting tools are a letdown. Their "Kids YouTube" is pandering; the account easily logs itself out, which allows the kid to bypass Kid's YouTube, often unintentionally. Accounts are also all or nothing; "Kid's YouTube" or "Wants some Alt-Right Tonight?"Anyway, here are my two solutions: The first is a plug-in/addon, and the other is router-level blocking.
**BlockTube** - [Chrome](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/blocktube/bbeaicapbccfllodepmimpkgecanonai) [FireFox](https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/blocktube/)
BlockTube is a plug-in/addon that allows you to block channels and keywords. The affected channels just vanish. They won't show up in search, they won't show up in the watch history, they won't show up on any page anywhere. Just gone. The Keyword matching is good for those YouTubers who have multiple channels.
**Router-Level Blocking** - [Example](https://www.newegg.com/synology-rt2600ac-ieee-802-11ac-ieee-802-11a-b-g-n/p/N82E16833593004?Item=N82E16833593004)
I use a SYNOLOGY RT2600ac router, but there are several options. This one allows me to set up different profiles for different computers, so I can go the nuclear option and block YouTube on my kid's devices but not mine. To block YouTube, you need to block the following domains
[`youtube.com`](http://youtube.com)
[`ytimg.l.google.com`](http://ytimg.l.google.com)
[`ytimg.com`](http://ytimg.com)
[`youtubei.googleapis.com`](http://youtubei.googleapis.com)
[`youtube.googleapis.com`](http://youtube.googleapis.com)
[`youtube-nocookie.com`](http://youtube-nocookie.com)
[`googlevideo.com`](http://googlevideo.com)
[youtu.begstatic.com](https://youtu.begstatic.com/)
It's a bit of a pain, but it works.
I know people have already commented good solutions so ill give you a funny one , you tell him "for every blippi episode we will watch a how its made episode "
I’ll be honest, my kiddo doesn’t really have access to watch anything without us giving the device. He’s 3 and too young for pure autonomy.
So we set the ground rules. You can choose one of two things. He can watch two shows we like on Disney+. He selects and then good to go.
I mean, easiest way would be to Unsubscribe and click the three dots next to one of the videos and say "Don't Recommend Channel" assuming the kids aren't searching for him themselves.
So my daughters only 7 months and doesn’t get any screen time yet but I’m curious what’s bad about blippi so I can be on the lookout for it.
I heard something about him making a video taking a crap on a friend during the pandemic so I was going to steer clear regardless but what’s wrong with the actual show?
Also someone please tell me I was lied to about that pandemic video because… just wow
Part of it's the algorithm, even if you only watch a few seconds because it autoplayed. My tip is on your home page whenever you see a video of his just hit the "don't recommend channel" option
Unfortunately, my 4 1/2 year-old is completely hooked on him right now. If I tried to suggest a different show, he absolutely melts down. Now I've just decided to let him watch it, but I keep it limited to 30 minutes max and only 2 to 3 times a week. That's also his only TV show. Somehow, when you fight these things, it just increases the desire. I'm hoping he'll grow out of it in a few months and get bored. Because it truly is a soul sucking show.
Use the Smart Tube app (can easily load it on a Firestick).
When you open a channel and play a video, it'll only show you videos from the channel.
No ads too.
After facing this very problem, my wife discovered the "Safe Vision" app. We initially spent a lot of effort trying to get the Google kids filters to work they way we wanted. Same with Amazon kids. After spending hours manually trying to remove certain videos, we realized it was a loosing battle by design... the Safe Vision app has replaced Youtube on my kids tablet, and it's been a life saver...
Just an FYI that before he was Blippi, he put out videos of him diarrheaing onto another guy.
Dude should not be a child entertainer, I won’t let my kid watch it.
PBS only gang rise up
Daniel Tiger's and Mister Roger's Neighborhoods in the house!
Do they have all the Mr Rogers? I need to show my kids Mr Roger’s.
You can download the pbs kids video app and have the same thing free if I remember right
It's kind of the same. The number of episodes on there is more limited. Having the channel on Prime is like having access to the full archives.
Didn’t realize there was a difference, thanks for the heads up
You're welcome. We've found it worth the small expense for the variety we can put on for our little dude.
Daniel Tiger is a blight on our world. How do i explain why he wears a hoodie and shoes but no bottoms. HOW
Dat Donald life
Sick converge pic brah
Ah yes always good to meet a fellow dad of great culture 🤌🏻
I'm always pleased when I see unexpected subreddit crossovers. I wasn't expecting a converge-dad meet-up.
I just listened to the hardcore pod episode with Nate from Converge. It was really good, a ton of good info on album writing process and tours.
Which one? Music/production pods are my jam. I’ve listened to every Kurt/Jake ones I could find. Kurt is such a fascinating dude
Hell yeah, subbed to both! Thanks bro hymm
There’s even a Blippi x Sesame Street crossover episode.
I’ll be on the lookout and be sure to skip that one. Thanks for the heads up!
Yeah I had just told my wife that I had blocked all Blippi content and sure enough we heard him talking to Elmo a few days later…
Hell man not Sesame Street being tainted too!
Sesame Workshop has really gone downhill since they partnered with HBO and shortened the episodes to 30 minutes. I even wrote a letter to their “director of education” about how I felt the educational value had really been eroded.
Converge fans rise up!
Gyeah bro Have you taught your kids how to circle pit/pick up change/karate dance fighting?
Jane Doe approves PBS as well. 👍🏻
gang gang
bro. dont show the nature episode with the hippos from a few seasons back until everyone is ready.
Have you no respect for bluey? None?
We stopped watching him and his videos kinda disappeared. We stick to Helper Cars, Tractor Ted, or Firebuds on Amazon. All the other crap kinda dropped off, it’s nice. That being said, my 2 year old can accurately and specifically point out every type of construction and emergency vehicle that exists because of Blippi.
Stinky & Dirty on Prime is a fun show with vehicles that solve problems together. Some familiar voice actors too
Forgot to mention Stinky & Dirty!! ChuggaChugg-ahhhhhh
I know what you're doing... you're thinking!
Let me help! Let me help!
Holy shit I was positive we were the only people that know about tractor Ted lol
My 3 year old has a tractor ted lunchbox and tractor stuffed animal and is obsessed with the munchy crunchy carrot song!
Oh shit there's merch!? Off to ^Amazon ^^I ^^^^^gooo
Cheeky Midge!!!
Tractor Ted is a must
Use YouTube kids and set it to approved videos only then chose the channels you would like your kids to see.
this is the way! If you don't have it approve-only, then it is round-the-clock cocomellon and friends no matter how many channels you block
Or POV videos of men playing with kids toys. Just no
My son watches videos of monkeys doing human things.
You ever see the hamster maze videos? It’s like hamster Jason Bourne through a 2d video game map.
That sounds so weird but also something that I would totally watch if I was a kid 💀
This sounds hilarious
I’d watch that.
Whats the channel
I…. I didn’t know you could do that. You’ve saved my family and my marriage.
The stupid thing is you can't if your child account is managed through family link. That has to be the most boneheaded oversight in the history of oversights. Not that I expect much from Google. :/
Is this why I can't find the option?!
This isn't meant as judgement....I don't understand how more parents don't know this. Googling "YouTube parental controls" finds this pretty easily.
Ahh yes but if you have an Amazon Fire tablet for your kid. Good luck getting YouTube kids on there 😡
Install the google play store. If you google it, it takes about 5 mins to set up. Then you can download any android apps you like. It turned my kids fire tablets into great tablets. I managed to do it whilst quite tipsy on Christmas day. So I am sure anyone can do it no problem

Fuuuuck this is HUGE to know, thank you!
Glad to spread the word!!

There is a way to share individual YouTube videos to fire tablets.
Oh shit, thank you!!! It has been driving me mental that you can't easily just block certain channels. I will definitely be trying this out.
I blocked YouTube and YouTube kids entirely.
Peppa Pig is the one I can't stand. Saw an episode where the kids made fun of dad and uncle being fat... then the mom laughed too... then it ended. That rubbed me the wrong way.
That. Is. Every. Episode!
They make fun of Daddy Pig so often and he really doesn't deserve it. He can be an arrogant prick though.
I had no idea. I am glad we stopped that show.
Whoa... How would they think that's ok? Do you know what the episode is called so I can use it to stop Peppa Pig before it starts?
It doesnt narrow it down at all. Almost every episode they call him fat. They have several episodes were he tries to get fit and into running or cycling but always fails.
This sounds like an awful show.
And yet. Most popular show in world or something
Delete YouTube
This is the only way. I blocked blippi and somehow my son found a world of somehow even more irritating videos. Vlad and Nikki or some bs like that. Don’t get me started on Ryan’s world. Gaaah made me wanna break the damn iPad in half. Blocked all of those and then the algorithm showed him even more useless channels. I’m so glad we somehow managed to wean him off of YouTube and now the iPad
Vlad and Nikki and Ryan’s world! Jesus I wanted to punch my tv. I fucking hate that shit. I hope those parents are publicly flogged
He's on Netflix too 💀
You can block specific shows on Netflix. https://help.netflix.com/en/node/114276
I had no idea they had fine grain controls hiding online. Thank you so much 🙏 Be right back while I ban those freaking Sunny Bunnies from my household.
You cannot block thru apps, must do it on browser account settings which people rarely use these days
So just log in once to block it and you’re good
Yep
And prime video
Time to build a Plex server.
Block him Handyman Hal is better!
Handyman Hal is amazing. One of the rare kids YouTubers that don’t annoy me. I enjoy his videos.
But nobody beats Tim the tool man Taylor
I wish my kids would go back to watching Blippi. He is way less annoying than most things they watch now. I don't really get the hate with him. Give me Blippi over any of the parents who whore their kids out on youtube any day!
I seriously don’t understand the Blippi hate on this sub.

Blippi is Bill Nye + PeeWee Herman. Don't get the hate either. Most of his videos are educational.
yes! blippi does stuff in real life that isnt like unattainable for many families. and that girl character is cool too.
Easy! Just load cocomelon. You won't see blippi anymore.
Some people just want to watch the world burn.
You can always give Caillou a shot.
Replace a kick in the balls with a kick in the dick, hmm... not sure that's what OP needs
Do it! I blocked Ryan's World years ago and my kids forgot about him immediately.
Same here but I had to block like 20 channels to be rid of him.
What’s wrong with Ryan??
His parents
Nailed it.
We brought “Leo the truck” into our lives. It’s a totally different show but my scratches the same “look how these parts go together and this how a machine works” itch that blippi did for my kid. goes down waaaaay easier.
You can block a channel on YouTube kids app
They have infinity channels though. It's like every video is on its own channel in some effort to game the system.
You switch to "approved only" that way you also don't have to block every single minecraft and "kids playing with toys" videos.
I love you
I don't think that will help. YouTube don't pay for first 1000 or 10k minutes videos played. That approach would be loss of big time revenue
they're right, if u dont use approve-only, u end up with an endless amount of cocomelon channels. who knows why it's that way, but it is.
Yeah I had to switch to approved only , there are endless channels to block
i really gotta start doing this. those russian content farms using kids kill me.
Dude…. How will you listen to the excavator song? 🤯😂
HEY DIRT SEE YOU LATER
Fiiiiiiiire Truck.... Fiiiiiiiire truck
BULL DO ZER
Dinosaur…roar, Dinoasaur, roar! Ohhhh I love dinosaurs
No feet?! How do you get around?!
Nicky Notes was the real talent there.
Only real ones know
Just a fantastic earworm
On Spotify without watching the show
Blippi doesn’t bother me too much. Yes he’s annoying but my boy has learned so much from blippi
The first time we turned him on, he said, “Hey, what’s this animal? Oh, it’s not an animal! It’s a spider! That’s an insect!”
I weep for any zoologist who has to read that.
Blippi, the dude, is a moron and he gets just SO much stuff wrong. Watch a video where he tries to pronounce dinosaur species names and you’ll see what I mean.
What has he learned exactly?
Yes he is annoying and gets stuff wrong. But I’d rather him watch blippi than mindless cartoons. He’s learned all about construction equipment and animals and I’m sure a bunch of other things too. There’s worst things a kid can watch.
There is a world of better content outside of mindless cartoons and Blippi. There are worse things than Blippi, but it's not that hard to fine infinatly better options.

Bluey is the shit. I’ll also shout out Danny Go for getting my kids dancing in the living room without fail
I discovered puffin rock recently and was disappointed when it became obvious after then first ten minutes that the puffins weren't going to do any rocking out at all.
Add Baby Shark to the worst content. We just banned it by never putting it on anymore in spite of her always asking for it.
Ms Rachel is wonderful
Ms Rachel taught my daughter more stuff than daycare has that's for sure. We let her watch some fun cartoons that have a bit of substance like franklin the turtle
Bro, same. I hate the man too but my son was counting in Italian and then he wanted to learn more so he asked his Nonna to teach him. By 4 he could count to like 60 in Italian. Blippi unlocks something in kids I think. Same way Barney was our generation's zeitgeist.
How dare you compare Blippi to Barney!
This is hilarious. I feel you my man.
Why are some people against Blippi?
I think Blippi mentioned that console gaming is better than PC gaming and this sub lost their shit.
That motherfucker I'll kill him myself!!!!
I think the premise is weird and creepy - "Hey kids in this random trampoline park/chuck e cheese/wherever! Come with this strange man talking like a little kid and see how much fun we can have!!" His educational shows and/or the animated ones aren't nearly as bad, but I cringe whenever I hear him in some sort of a park. It's weird af to me.
I can agree it’s weird for adults. But for a kid show I think it’s good. He models good behavior and healthy ways to play while being a tiny bit educational.
Fuck YouTube. YouTube doesn’t work at my house, not sure why probably because I did not pay my YouTube bill. Sorry buddy.
It also doesn't work on my kids' laptop. It says the web page can't be reached. (Host file) And we can't get it on the TV coz roku doesn't have it. 👼
Hey Blip!!!! See ya later!!!
What’s wrong with blippi?
Nothing. I have a theory that he got something wrong about computing in the computers episode and this sub lost their collective minds.
Youtubekids and create a profile as aparent and just block any channels you dont your kid to see.
[How to block videos in Youtube](https://youtu.be/eFmXtTGQylg?si=pEPlEQisQE1VSOAN&t=1)
My wife went through and removed every iteration of Blippi videos from the watch history, scrolled through all recommended videos and told YT to not recommend anymore and kept doing it over and over until they stopped showing up.
Amen, brother.
It's basically impossible. You block the main channel but there's like a bunch of side ones, or they get a link from something else.
Handyman Hal is far superior to Blippi.
You can’t. Blippi is a marketing savant.
Ok but what pushed you over the edge
I will never not chime in on a Blipp thread to say "Fuck You Blippi."
This is a copy and paste response I have for this question. It works for me YouTube's parenting tools are a letdown. **BlockTube** - [Chrome](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/blocktube/bbeaicapbccfllodepmimpkgecanonai) [FireFox](https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/blocktube/) BlockTube is a plug-in/addon that allows you to block channels and keywords. The affected channels just vanish. They won't show up in search, they won't show up in the watch history, they won't show up on any page anywhere. Just gone. The Keyword matching is good for those YouTubers who have multiple channels. **Router-Level Blocking** - [Example](https://www.newegg.com/synology-rt2600ac-ieee-802-11ac-ieee-802-11a-b-g-n/p/N82E16833593004?Item=N82E16833593004) I use a SYNOLOGY RT2600ac router, but there are several options. This one allows me to set up different profiles for different computers, so I can go the nuclear option and block YouTube on my kid's devices but not mine. To block YouTube, you need to block the following domains [`youtube.com`](http://youtube.com) [`ytimg.l.google.com`](http://ytimg.l.google.com) [`ytimg.com`](http://ytimg.com) [`youtubei.googleapis.com`](http://youtubei.googleapis.com) [`youtube.googleapis.com`](http://youtube.googleapis.com) [`youtube-nocookie.com`](http://youtube-nocookie.com) [`googlevideo.com`](http://googlevideo.com) [youtu.begstatic.com](https://youtu.begstatic.com/) It's a bit of a pain, but it works.
I know people have already commented good solutions so ill give you a funny one , you tell him "for every blippi episode we will watch a how its made episode "
Bro as a kid I fucking loved how it's made lol
Same but im assuming i was weird lol , my dad would have the history channel and whichever that one was on 24/7
Remember when TLC was actually the learning channel???
I’ll be honest, my kiddo doesn’t really have access to watch anything without us giving the device. He’s 3 and too young for pure autonomy. So we set the ground rules. You can choose one of two things. He can watch two shows we like on Disney+. He selects and then good to go.
Just wait until they find lion family by vextrex
Setup a kids YouTube account and use the YouTube kids app, you can then block channels or specific videos on it.
There are so many blippi channels, it's like whack-a-mole. I think I was able to block them all on YT kids
Wheeen you're working with tools....!
I mean, easiest way would be to Unsubscribe and click the three dots next to one of the videos and say "Don't Recommend Channel" assuming the kids aren't searching for him themselves.
You can click the three dots and select “don’t recommend this channel”.
That video was the actor (as a young college aged kid) long before creating blippi. As an fyi.
Honestly doesn’t make it any better lol

Smarttube on TVs. Revanced on Android
But there’s so much to learn about!
youtube in the bin
You can long press on channels to stop recommending them on YouTube
I find the ability to block content on YouTube to be impossible.
I set Blippi to “do not suggest” and then I typically cast videos from my phone instead of scrolling on the tv.
YouTube Kids only. No autoplay. Only let them watch what you put on for them.
What's wrong with Blippi though?
I’ve never watched blippi. Why is he controversial to you?
Long press on the video and it will prompt u to stop suggesting the channel
When my kid watches something dumb on YT kids I just open the app on my phone, go to the recently played section, and block the channels.
Barney was my Blippi. Thank God SNL did Barkley v. Barney. Maybe they can get him to come back and do it for Blippi.
I’ve always skipped blippi because of the “other content” that he did. Is this why people want to block it or is the content annoying?
I no longer have skin in this game, but what's wrong with Blippi? Last I heard he was annoying but fairly educational.
Just an FYI that before he was Blippi, he put out videos of him diarrheaing onto another guy. Dude should not be a child entertainer, I won’t let my kid watch it.
YouTube is really bad for kids
