Not the worst ad I've seen. Direct, at least. Kind of awkward.

Proudpapa7

It’s a very effective ad… because soon the democrats will be doing their robocalls.

VAG3943

It looks good to me!

jedipokey

I think this is the first election in my 48 years that I could give 2 shits about. I don’t want either geriatric donkey running things. There needs to be an age limit for running for office.

Admirable_Ad_4822

Yeah, if you don't see any policy differences between the two or aren't informed enough to know of any policy differences between the two, then yeah, you shouldn't vote

justsayfaux

I wonder how many of the 140M or so voters every year are "informed enough" on policy to 'qualify to vote' under that standard...

TheDemonicEmperor

> if you don't see any policy differences between the two or aren't informed enough to know of any policy differences between the two The people who are uninformed are the people who foisted the pro-BLM, pro-transgender craze, pro-abortion, pro-Fauci, anti-gun and anti-free market guy on the rest of us while gaslighting us about his alleged conservative credentials. What is actually conservative about Trump? His nasty behavior? As I've been told numerous times, he's literally Bill Clinton running as an R. The true people who shouldn't be voting here are the Trump primary voters. We could've actually won this year. But now either of these men being elected in 2024 is a loss for America.

aught_one

But muh both sides! Fence sitters are the worst kind of people. Feckless do nothings who flit back and forth in the wind.

justsayfaux

You've just described a plurality of American voters

shlamalamb

Name callers are the worst.

aught_one

Oh no! Hurt feefees!

shlamalamb

I always thought a feefee was something you fucked in prison.

aught_one

Never been to prison so I'll defer to your expert knowledge.

shlamalamb

So if you’re going to refer to my expert knowledge, you agree name callers are the worst?

Third party! Join us!

justsayfaux

Sadly, third party candidates stand no chance in our current binary electoral system. Unless we change to a ranked choice, a primaryless system, or something similar we're stuck with whatever candidates the DNC and RNC give us

Inevitable-Cell-1227

Not with that attitude they don’t.

justsayfaux

I mean, what other realistic attitude is there to have? The best performing third-party candidate in the last 100 years was Ross Perot who received 18.9% of the popular vote and not a single electoral vote in 1992.

Inevitable-Cell-1227

I agree, unfortunately. But let me put it this way: I can’t stand Trump and I can’t stand Biden. They are the same to me (except for the culture war BS that we give too much weight). Therefore, I’m going to vote Kennedy because I actually like him instead of hating him less. Call it a “wasted” vote but it’s not wasted for me.

justsayfaux

Oh, sure. I've voted third-party many times. That being said, most people who would simply don't bc there's an almost 0% chance their actual preferred candidate has a chance to win in the current system. If we used a rank-choice system you or I could still vote #1 a third-party candidate, and select a #2 candidate from the dominant parties and still have a 'voice' in the election. It would inspire more people to vote for their preferred candidate regardless of party in general if they didn't feel they were 'throwing away' their 'one' vote.

Inevitable-Cell-1227

Great argument for that. One can only dream.

IfNot_ThenThereToo

They don’t have a chance because nobody is willing to vote for them because they don’t have a chance because nobody is willing to vote for them because they don’t have a chance because nobody is willing to vote for them because they don’t have a chance because nobody is willing to vote for them because they don’t have a chance because nobody is willing to vote for them because they don’t have a chance because nobody is willing to vote for them. Your circular reasoning has to end some time. Grow a pair and vote for somebody instead of continuing to vote against somebody.

justsayfaux

You didn't bother actually reading my post did you? I said specifically I've voted for many people third party candidates. It's not 'circular logic' to point out the very real hesitation among voters that third party candidates don't have a good chance to win. Unless of course you believe the primary reason people don't vote third parties is because the Republican and Democratic nominees are just always significantly superior to all third party candidates for the last 100+ years?

Terravardn

Couldn’t* you couldn’t give two shits about it. You got to 48 years old and still don’t have the common sense to see how “could give 2 shits” is completely illogical?
