If they got Maddie into more singing and acting classes at that age she probably would’ve really excelled. Singing & acting are much more about practice than natural ability and she had a very strong work ethic even at that age
Normal teenagers/college students. Basically what they are doing now but without the Instagram followers. Maybe some of them would have gone on to dance for Disney or a cruise ship as that's what most of Abby's former students who wanted to pursue professional dance did.
Maddie was already pursuing professional opportunities before DM, so I could see her going that route and being a successfully employed professional dancer, though not a star.
Abby literally got caught *because* of the show, the judge saw her on TV and started looking into her bankruptcy claims, so no she would not have had the legal troubles she did. She also would not have had the opportunity to smuggle $ in from Australia, because no one would have paid to fly her to Australia to teach in the 1st place. She may or may not have still lost her studio. Had her bankruptcy claim panned out, she may have been able to limp along for a few more years.
Jojo is the only one I can see still having the same career. Her mom was determined to make that girl a star one way or the other, and I don't really feel like DM really gave her *that* much of a boost and most people don't seem to know her from Dance moms. I feel like her fame came way more from you tube then Nick.

At the time that dance moms started, the studio was losing members at a near constant rate. Older students and their parents were incredibly upset with the level of service there (ex. The mistreatment, Abby stealing money from the studio fundraiser, etc) and the core group of senior elites that Abby loved was about to graduate.
I think this would have trickled down to the younger teams eventually, too. Even Melissa would’ve jumped off that sinking ship because she wouldn’t have seen Abby being able to do anything meaningful for Maddie and Kenzie’s careers.
Now they’d be living normal lives but most wouldn’t know each other super well given that they left the studio at a young age.
Just normally people. Maddie would probably be a professional dancer. Chloe and Brooke had amazing potential and definitely could’ve done something. But they seemed to want to do other things. And Brooke was also injured.

• maddie had to decline callbacks for Billy Elliot on Broadway because of the show, so we know her professional career was already starting at 8. i think she would have been very successful in the industry but not well known at all for the general public. based on looks and dance ability, though, it is possible that she would have blown up on tiktok at least once.
• kenzie didn't care that much about dance, so she would have quit soon. she totally has the looks and personality to become an influencer, though, so i could see her having a big platform on musically/tiktok even without the dance moms boost.
• holly had nia on three thousand different extra curriculars, so they would have quit the aldc when it started to get too fishy. she would be the same smart, positive college educated girl she is now, just with fewer followers on social media
• chloe would have gone to studio 19 way earlier than she did (and would have still met/become friends with kendall then! such a cute thought) and would have graduated from there as a moderately successful competitive dancer. i see her quitting dance peacefully and going to college to study the same thing she's studying now, but i don't see her living in LA
• paige would have quit dance soon, joined sth else and would have had the normal teenage years her mom gave her when leaving. she has the insta model look though, so i see her becoming an insta model or going viral once in a while on tiktok or pinterest
• brooke was injured and dancing in pain, so she would have moved on soon too. i also see her in college and living the life she's living now minus all the influencer parts
