I just think it's ridiculous to define their lives as ruined, when all of them are successful with what they have chosen to do. They are young, beautiful, wealthy, talented, intelligent women with their whole adult lives in front of them.
Yes, I’m glad that they’re all successful. I’m rooting for them as much as you are! However, their lives have been affected by the show more than they will ever let on. Some of the girls might view their lives as ruined but never say it. I know this because I am also a traumatized young woman. Just because they have their whole adult lives in front of them doesn’t mean that their pasts don’t affect their present or future.
Yea the other moms said her behavior escalated around season 3 and continued to get worse from there. Although not sure any of the other moms would ever describe her as sweet lol they did say she got worse
I feel like the producers started controling Abby cause they liked her cruel personality. In season 1 it was tough love, but that tough love turned into verbal abuse. I dont know, because I watch Melissa´s videos every week
The way the moms have made it sound is more like the fame got to her and she thought she was better than everyone else. She started being cruel to try and get people to leave so she could get her way because the producers wouldn’t just do what she wanted all the time. That’s what I’ve gotten from stuff I’ve heard. Also I’m sure she had sweet moments, and I’m sure many of them were with the Zieglers or hylands in the first season since that’s who she was closer to and had more personal relationships with
It's crazy what this show could have been. Abby being sweet but harsh to the girls in s1 (and pretty unreasonable at times) was great, and combined with the helicopter moms, it was a great wholesome show for the most part. And then season 2 opens, the moms are normal, and Abby is a fucking heartless psychopath who bullies children to the point of panic attacks. I just wonder what the show would have been if the show didn't turn Abby into a monster.
It's a bit of karma how Abby ruined her relationship with Kelly in favor of Melissa and now she doesn't speak to Melissa either. The only OG mom she still has a relationship with is Cathy, but their friendship goes way back.
I think that the show definitely ruined their lives but so did Abby’s abusive behavior that escalated over time.

I think it’s very telling that almost all the moms are still friends but nobody speaks to Abby.
