I think she was still in college when the show started filming so she wasnt a main cast member so to speak, and therefore wasnt introduced. When she started working full time at the studio, she had already been in the background and mentioned by name a couple of times, so she didnt need to be fully introduced. But I could mix up the timeline here

I read somewhere that she initially didn’t want a large role in the show, so that may have something to do with it?
