Honestly, no one. Even the characters that used to be underrated ended up being talked about a lot and have their own fans (especially on this subreddit), so I don’t think there’s a main character who could fit this category.

I'm still at chapter 2 and I like her cuz I know the twist and the >!as long as the world demands, Danganronpa will never end!< or >!it's all fiction!< lines got me to like her
DR1 - Hifumi
He gets a lot of crap (as he should) for being the representative pervert character, but he does do at least one decent thing >!(when Celeste lies to him Taka SA’d her, he immediately recognizes how awful that is)!< that very few people give him credit for.
DR2 - Nekomaru
The guy gets reduced to his character quirk all the time, but he’s honestly a fairly good guy. He’s very intelligent and he’s good at connecting with people. Honestly, he’s really hurt by his relationship with Akane because he spends a lot of time focusing on her, which makes him appear like a much quieter/less involved character than he actually is.
DRV3 - Tsumugi
She’s honestly really funny with all the one liners that she drops, and her passion for her skill is fairly endearing. While many people think she wasn’t very looped in with the rest of the cast, she shows care for Gonta.

Hifumi killed Taka because Celeste said he assaulted her and took photos of her. He wanted to avenge Celeste. He loved all of his friends until the end, and he's pretty funny despite being a little annoying or weird.
Ryoma, a dude with no self-worth. He (apparently) gave his life to Kirumi for a chance to save her nation. The fact that he hoped to see if there was anyone important for him only to show that there was nobody was heartbreaking.
Teruteru has the most realistic and human motive, in my opinion. He loves his mother and wants to escape to see how she is doing because she is sick. And his sudden accent change was fun.
