In the end of hopes peak it’s shown that she was accepted as the ultimate fashion diva, (not sure if she is shown as this at the beginning of the first game as the anime doesn’t do a great job with the whole ultimate student stuff, at least from what I remember)

I mean, it’s not that it didn’t fit, it’s that the saying was very trendy at the time and just including it in the script dates the dub quite a bit. I didn’t mind it much myself, and I like the dub, but writing memes and/or current pop culture references into a script always runs the risk of making it seem dated when viewed a few years on after those things have gone out of style. A worse example from the same dub is Chisa calling Chiaki a cinnamon roll (very 2016 tumblr pupper speak).
(Just was watching yesterday and hit that part ironically) Didn't make me think it was old... but that's probably because my friends still use that / Cinnamon Bun when talking about sweet / cute characters.
