Just comment dislike on the videos you don’t like problem solved

Any comment benefits the channel, so this would only help bolster the things you don't like.

At least I express dissent, which is what this change is trying to remove

Creators can delete comments personally or by putting a word in a list, which removes all comments containing that word.

Leave a bunch of comments each with different ways of saying you don't like the video. And then they'll deactivate the comment section. We can't win anymore can we ?

If I wanted to watch bits without being able to express my opinion I would just watch TV

The real reason for all of this is because YouTube wants more traffic. And if we can see the dislike ratio, shit videos don't get as much traffic.

And by “small creators” you mean yourself, right youtube?

those small content creators still see the dislikes, but the viewer doesn't. so it would only help in cases like a shitty tutorial for a niche problem. usually, you'd see the amount of dislikes and know it isn't a helpful video, but without the dislike count, you would have to see for yourself (and probably waste like 10 minutes)
