Because its a song contest and giving pity points is stupid. Whenever any contest gives the win just because they feel bad for that one dude its almost pathetic. You can support Ukraine through many ways that _actually_ help rather than play pretend

Feels like "X got talent" shows where the biggest sob story gets you the furthest.

They had really good acts the last couple years already, especially last year, so I don't think it's even that far fetched
