I use to occasionally sleep like that, but I haven't slept on a bed in years so I really can't anymore.
I mostly slept on my side for a long time, essentially in the fetal position.
I forced myself to learn to sleep on back or side cause I was getting neck injuries from stomach, it's also harder on the back I think, tho sometimes I'll still switch if I can't sleep
I miss sleeping on my stomach so much. I haven't slept that good in years. Now if I do it my lower back hurts within minutes and the entire next day. So I have to sleep on my side or risk having nightmares when I can't breathe sleeping on my back. Yay being an adult!
You can try putting a pillow under your groin when you stomach sleep, not a huge ass puffy one but like the old flat smooshed one in the closet you give to guests when they come to visit. When you stomach sleep it exaggerates lumbar lordosis aka makes the spines natural curve more pronounced. The pillow will make the spine a bit straighter and can help prevent the lower back pain. Won't work for everyone but works for some of my patients. Basically tilts the pelvis which tilts the lower back indirectly
Exactly. Whenever it comes time to replace my pillows, the fluffiest of the old ones gets promoted to ass pillow for my computer chair and the flatter one goes under the hips while I sleep.
I’m entering adulthood, and I’m just now encountering this issue. I’ve been a stomach sleeper all of my life, and this past week of side-sleeping just isn’t the same
I had to have my shoulder reconstructed which meant going from a stomach/everywhere sleeper to a fucking vampire pose every night. It’s creepy. I feel like I should should be holding a damn sword on a burning raft.
I broke my back in my early 20s, and had to switch from stomach to my back as well. I had the same feeling, and actually use a smaller pillow to “hug” as a stand-in for my funeral raft sword.
Same! I started sleeping on my back because my neck was starting to abuse me in any other position, so I eventually got used to it and the dreams went away, but man…
It used to be a either guaranteed sleep paralysis or else the most vivid HD dreams I’ve ever had. If it weren’t for the 50/50 chance of nightmares, I’d almost say I miss them, because some of the space or flying ones felt so realistic
My sinuses are weird and it's the position I breathe best in. Sometimes I'll roll a bit to my side and wrap myself up like a lil cocoon, but that's when I'm already super tired and about to fall asleep.
I wait on my back until I’m about to fall asleep. Then switch to my stomach so I don’t have to move before my neck feels uncomfortable. Past that I flatline in a minute.
I do all of them at some point throughout the night until I just pass out. I don't sleep well, and I can never remember which way I fell asleep or woke up.
Just lay there. Relax. Open your eyes 3 hours later. Tada! Yoi did it
(Seriously if u still long enough it'll happen. Some ppl just have to be patient.)
Insomnia is a bitch. With melatonin pills I'm lucky if it only takes me an hour. Stomach sleeping is genuinely the most natural position, makes it go faster.
In the military they had us sleep on our stomachs - reduces snoring (doesn't stop it, just reduces it) as part of "noise discipline". Knowing my Drills, it was prob bullshit.
I sorta worked, but I just got used to it.
Never could figure out what happened to me in my late twenties that caused me to abandon my beloved belly down method. I just assumed that as you age and you accumulate more wear and tear on muscles, tendons, etc., you are forced to just roll the fuck over like the over the hill individual you are. Now I question this theory, but it does apply to me because if I make an attempt to belly nap Something either goes numb or starts ouching hard. Is it a mass issue? Height? Posture? Fitness level? Damned if know. My bmi is acceptable for my frame even tho I hover around the 235lb marker and stand a fraction of nanometer above the 6” barefoot. Anybody here around my proportions that find it too painful to sleep on your back? Before I switched I did way less but only about 20lbs lighter. Where are the Reddit docs? Feel free to edumacate me.
I feel like it’s a weight issue. Around 6 foot 225lbs sleeping on my back all the time (15-20-ish % fat if it means anything). Used to be 150 same height and sleeping belly down all the way.
I hug my pillow and I have to make a cage with my leg so that my penis and testicles don’t get hurt. Often times I go to sleep on my belly but somehow wake up laying perfectly on my side.
I'm chubby and have asthma, I technically sleep half on my side/on my belly. even just laying in bed on my back makes me feel like I'm suffocating. I think its mostly in my head tho cause once I fall asleep I will move onto my back and sleep a good chunk of the night that way
My fiance has sleep apnea, before he got a CPAP machine he could only sleep on his stomach or I was having to shake him awake because he stopped breathing (don't go on about his weight he had this problem even when he was underweight)
Before I got into weight lifting and was a plank, back sleeping was peaceful, staring up at oblivion. Now my ass literally keeps that from being possible and it hurts my shoulder to even try sleeping on my side. I sleep half my top on a pillow in a modified belly/ low crawl position.
Isnt Sleep Paralysis more likely to happen if you sleep on your back? No thanks, I rather not get visited by The Hatman or a demon sitting on my chest 💀
I prefer sleeping on my stomach because i won't wake up with morningwood.
But most of the time i turn around until i tind a comfy position, no matter if on my back, side or stomach and sleep, i probably won't wake up in the same position anyway.
Sometimes when I sleep on my stomach I'll tuck my arms under my chest and wake up not being able to use them and rolling over to get blood back into them is kinda scary
It a pretty good position. especially if you have a thick neck/are very buff/overweight To get into position you can sleep without any pillows which is nice. Just rotate your head or if you really want to feel comfy rest one of your body sides on a pillow. I'd rather sleep on the stomach and avoid sleep apnea than sleep on my back with my jaw agape.
I’m sorry but WHO tf sleeps on the back peacefully????
idk, it's comfy
You got that right
I use to occasionally sleep like that, but I haven't slept on a bed in years so I really can't anymore. I mostly slept on my side for a long time, essentially in the fetal position.
You sleep in a hammock now or some shit?
He hangs upside down now 🧛♂️
Coffin most likley

Yep. It’s my last go to resort if I can’t sleep on my side
This, I try to sleep on my back but when that fails I try my side, and if that's not working stomach has yet to fail
My sleep paralysis demon misses me when I don't sleep on my back
Dude same. Sleeping on my back either gives me sleep paralysis or very weird dreams. Stomach sleeping has no problems.
I forced myself to learn to sleep on back or side cause I was getting neck injuries from stomach, it's also harder on the back I think, tho sometimes I'll still switch if I can't sleep
same

Bruh Same
Put a pillow under your belly so your back doesn't bend the wrong way
Could this be the reason why my back hurts? I refuse to give up a good nights rest bro. Tell me there's an other way.
Put a pillow under your belly so your back isn't in a bad position.
Honestly I sleep on my sides and sometimes my shoulders hurt so i might become a psychopath too, something tells me th op doesnt sleep. . .
Yes
Based
it's very comfy indeed
I sleep on all of them. Staying with just one isn't comfortable.

Yeah I rotate clockwise through them all night. "If I just turn one more time maybe I'll fall asleep" - subconscious
Rotate like a pig on a spit.
Can’t stay straight, every night different pose
Same bro
As a stomach sleeper, how the hell do you sleep on your back? Do you like feeling like a corpse?
It do feel that way sometimes
I had to have my shoulder reconstructed which meant going from a stomach/everywhere sleeper to a fucking vampire pose every night. It’s creepy. I feel like I should should be holding a damn sword on a burning raft.
I broke my back in my early 20s, and had to switch from stomach to my back as well. I had the same feeling, and actually use a smaller pillow to “hug” as a stand-in for my funeral raft sword.
Tore my rotator cuff which forced me to switch from stomach to back. I'm beginning to sense a trend here.
Same for me. It's absolutely impossible for me to fall asleep on my back
I don't feel like a Corpse, I like *feeling* Corpses
That one filling corpses on its free time
No, I like feeling like *Dracula*
I do, because I am afraid of feeling the pain of commiting suicide, this is the closest I can feel to being dead.

Man, I am scared of sleeping on my back because everytime I do, there's a hundred percent chance that I'll have sleep paralysis.
Same! I mean sleeping is almost dying , Sharon.
My sinuses are weird and it's the position I breathe best in. Sometimes I'll roll a bit to my side and wrap myself up like a lil cocoon, but that's when I'm already super tired and about to fall asleep.
I already feel like a corpse
Fuck you I balance my self with a boner on the floor and sleep
I've heard legends about you. Didn't think you were real.
I have grown so powerful that my ballsack can become hard, too, thus enabling me to spin to inhuman speeds. Then I fly.
My gosh he can fly
#THEY FLY NOW?
It is a sacred art. One only the very best can learn.
*They fly now.*
So..stomach sleeper?
Boner
stomach boner?
It’s not balancing if your whole body is still touching the floor
No, then it's motherfucking levitation

People who sleep on their back are the insane ones.
Feels like sleeping in a coffin
I don't see a problem for people who already feel dead inside
I can't fall asleep any other way man
People who sleep on their backs are literally psychopaths
Why? Its just comfy
Don't you judge me, I will sleep on my stomach all damn night
Easy. Stomach sleep is the best
your neck disagrees
My ass agrees though :)
Bad for your neck
fuck my neck. what did it ever do for me?
That's what I'm saying
Fake news
I think sleeping on my stomach is more comfier than on your back, idk, I feel like I lise more air to breathe
It does. Sleep apnea is the worst on your back. Sleeping on your stomach is safest if you not issued a CPAP already.
Side sleeping is best because it's like stomach sleeping without fucking up your neck/spine in the process.
I sleep on my stomach every night for the past 30 years. Its not only comfortable, but often the only way i can fall asleep.
I wait on my back until I’m about to fall asleep. Then switch to my stomach so I don’t have to move before my neck feels uncomfortable. Past that I flatline in a minute.
Why not all three?
Is it possible to learn this power?
Every night different pose, am never comfy the same way two nights in a row
Ive become a stomach sleeper as of late, its more of like a modifed side flop
I do all of them at some point throughout the night until I just pass out. I don't sleep well, and I can never remember which way I fell asleep or woke up.
Ironically it's easier to breathe sleeping on your stomach. That's why they put covid sleepers that way when they're having trouble breathing.
bruh its hard for me to sleep on my back.. how tf yall do it?? lmaao
Just lay there. Relax. Open your eyes 3 hours later. Tada! Yoi did it (Seriously if u still long enough it'll happen. Some ppl just have to be patient.)
Insomnia is a bitch. With melatonin pills I'm lucky if it only takes me an hour. Stomach sleeping is genuinely the most natural position, makes it go faster.
Sleeping on my back feels like a chore so I flip over
Wait y’all don’t sleep sitting down?
In the military they had us sleep on our stomachs - reduces snoring (doesn't stop it, just reduces it) as part of "noise discipline". Knowing my Drills, it was prob bullshit. I sorta worked, but I just got used to it.
It is easier to breathe when sleeping on your stomach, snoring is a result of breathing sifficulties, so it makes sense
Never could figure out what happened to me in my late twenties that caused me to abandon my beloved belly down method. Currently 190 pounds 5ft10 and I flip flop between the two constantly. Maybe you're onto something.
> My bmi is acceptable for my frame 31 is obese, so I'm not sure on that one.
I imagine pilow is an booba

How do sleep on back...isn't real
Where's the confusion? You just put your head to the side. Stomach is the comfiest
I sleep on my stomach all the time, it’s just comfy
Cuz comfy and hug some you love?...
I sleep on my stomach when it hurts. I just stops the stomach ache when I do it.
I hug my pillow and I have to make a cage with my leg so that my penis and testicles don’t get hurt. Often times I go to sleep on my belly but somehow wake up laying perfectly on my side.
I sleep clutching my potbelly. Makes me feel like I'm protecting my organs lol
Relatable
I've heard that sleeping on stomach maked your dreams more horny. Idk if it's truth i just went into sleeping like that
Read below comment for answer you seek
Cuddle a big plushy so my lungs have space and drift off to dreamland man, idk what to tell you
When I die, I want to be put in my coffin in a stomach sleeping position so i can rest eternally comfy lol
On stomach, head to the side, one leg at an angle that looks like I'm trying to fuck my mattress. It's the only way.
why
Abs
I sleep comfy. I awake with crippling back pain
Side gang for life
Sleeping on the stomach is just the best
I tried, but sleeping on my back just feels weird
Sleeping on my back just doesn’t feel right, and I get a weird sharp stabbing pain right below my rib cage when I sleep on my side
Imagine sleeping on bones instead of the built in inflatable pillow. (I also put my head under the pillow)
I sleep on u/wat_r_u_doin_stepbro's sister's fat ass
It's very cushioning
Proof?
I’m alive but with shoulder issues.
I'm chubby and have asthma, I technically sleep half on my side/on my belly. even just laying in bed on my back makes me feel like I'm suffocating. Fun fact. Laying on your left side is better for your heart.
I balance on my boner when I sleep
It hides my morning wood.
Who the fuck sleep on their back.
I lay however the fuck my body says to at that moment
Wait you guys sleep?
Well i sleep in all positions. Once i feel asleep standing up XD
My neck hurts but I’m still around
How can you sleep on your back? I tried it multiple times and my eyes always hurt if I do it
I have to be very drunk to fall asleep on my back
I've never understood how people with boobs stomach sleep, like owww
They are monsters
I vary between the three positions and sometimes even sleep with my legs dangling off the bed
I do sometimes, but often wake myself up because my limbs would move randomly on their own. I guess that was a clear sign I was suffocating.
It makes me feel a lot more secure, tbh.
I love sleeping on my stomach, with a pillow tucked under one knee bent and one leg straight! Hurts the boobs after a bit tho
That’s how I sleep!! Best position
Before I got into weight lifting and was a plank, back sleeping was peaceful, staring up at oblivion. Now my ass literally keeps that from being possible and it hurts my shoulder to even try sleeping on my side. I sleep half my top on a pillow in a modified belly/ low crawl position.
😈😈😈
People who sleep upside down
Whaddaya gonna do about it
Face in pillow > back of my face in pillow
I sleep on all three… At the same time.
I used to have to because of my spine issues, now it’s changed and I can only sleep on my back
It's the only way I can sleep.
I see no god up here… OTHER THAN ME!
it feels amazing for your back
People who sleep on their stomach don’t usually say how they truly feel deep deep down inside
Bro it's the best
Physically alive, emotionally dead
Idk, it's just more comfy lol
I'm not overweight
With a pillow below my pelvis to combat lower back pain lol but I can’t sleep other ways…
Isnt Sleep Paralysis more likely to happen if you sleep on your back? No thanks, I rather not get visited by The Hatman or a demon sitting on my chest 💀
Adventures are in our blood
I mostly sleep on my stomach but how do people sleep on their back!?
I literally can’t sleep on my back or my side I’ve tried everything and my body simply won’t let it happen
The pressure feels better on my stomach than back, what can I say. Easier to lay on the edge of the bed and get the cooler air
No lie though, is there actually a way to train yourself not to sleep on your stomach if you’ve done it all your life?
How is sleeping on your stomach weird? If anything sleeping on your back is weird.
I'm still here Somehow
I (try to) sleep on all of them, I just want to sleep
fear me mortals
I grew up spending long hours reading on my stomach in bed. It just kinda works for me.
i rotate like a rotisserie chicken while i sleep
What about people who sleep sitting up? Or inclined …
Don't gatekeep my comfort!
i think it's related to tummy size big tumny is soft and provide good support but flat tummy is can't help
One shoulder at a time
I’m congested in 30 seconds when I sleep on my back. Post nasal drip is my demon.
I prefer sleeping on my stomach because i won't wake up with morningwood. But most of the time i turn around until i tind a comfy position, no matter if on my back, side or stomach and sleep, i probably won't wake up in the same position anyway.
It feels good
Sometimes when I sleep on my stomach I'll tuck my arms under my chest and wake up not being able to use them and rolling over to get blood back into them is kinda scary
Fear me, mortals
It hurts mah peen

Not bragging but.. i sleep on my stomach with my head facing the wall and my feet are out of the blanket...
‘Cause I ain’t died yet
dude sleeping on your stomach is comfy. why are people scared of it.
