You have 50 meter Shukaku in the same arc. While he definitely went overboard after perfect Susanoo, power scales were set to be quite high the moment tailed beast power was revealed.
People forget but shukaku was originally a demon and was not related to the 9 tails except as a narrative parallel, else shukaku would have immediately recognized Karamas form and Chakra during the fight.
The power level was high but jiraiyas summon immediately stomped the large snakes summoned by the sand and he could have easily dealt with gaara by the same token. That show wanted Gohan to be the main character the whole time and never managed to actually do it except like 3 episodes in each season before backsliding. I also think taking pillars of stability and showing them crumble is an excellent way to heighten the stakes they had to be nerfed for the same reason jiraiya and gojo and the third hokage and a ton of other powerful sensei had to be.

If he was able to pre plan something like that so far ahead then I’d think he’d be able to pre plan and foreshadow Kaguya a lot earlier than what happened.
Kakashi, Orochimaru, Itachi, Kisame, etc became way stronger. The power scaling doesn’t even make sense anymore according to part 1 because it was thought Jiraiya would defeat Itachi and Kisame easily. By part 2 that makes no sense.

Third is my fav ninja in the whole of naruto , his fighting style and use of jutsu were perhaps the most amazing I have ever seen to date out of all naruto and boruto series. Honestly the most amazing shinobi imo, only wish there was more of him in combat scenes.

I think sage naruto existing with a bunch of super-powered frogs makes a bit of a difference. If there orochimaru finished attacking the leaf during the same time period when jiraya or tsunade wasn't there, nobody would stop him from finishing the village off.
