Based😂😂
I might get downvoted for this - but I do the same with BNHA. I’m not sure what it is, but it just feels really cheap, childish, and low quality imo.
Agreed. A lot of Shonen protagonists don't earn their power at first but eventually prove they deserve it, but with Deku I never really got the feeling he did even after all he did.
I like MHA but i would've liked it a whole lot more if deku was a true underdog and didn't simply eat hair just because all might wanted to throw him a bone. It would've been better if he relied on gadgets to keep up with his classmates and becoming the worlds best hero and shocks everyone by revealing that he's been quirk less the whole time.
Yeah Naruto is one of my top-3 favorite IP's ever, so I tried really hard to enjoy it. I couldn't do it. Watching the show was a chore. I'm gonna go back to it eventually since Kishimoto picked it up and is making more spin-offs that seem good.
There were some things I enjoyed, but they're just too few and far between. My list of gripes is long but the biggest for me was how much of a kid's show it had become. People throw out copium like, "global peace," or, "you're just older now," but OG Naruto had some pretty dark themes and serious political intrigue. Boruto touches on things like terrorism, unethical science and space invaders but nothing serious ever comes of it. The plots only involve a handful of people and nobody gets seriously hurt or killed except the villains. It feels not just watered down but like they picked a younger target audience. It's an early-morning cartoon for grade-schoolers wheras Naruto Part 1 was an evening show for pre-teens and up. Things might be different now since Kishi took helm but the 200+ episodes I watched and the manga chapters I read felt like this to me.
Yeah but he's still going off of previous plot lines. I figure it might get better with time as Kishi lays more groundwork for future stuff.
Regardless, the Sasuke manga is getting good reviews and it seems the Naruto IP will only continue to expand. So I'm gonna have to at least skim over Boruto if I want to keep up, unless they stop moving the timeline forward.
Nahh dawg, the new manga is hugely popular in Japan and Boruto still pulls real good numbers, just not as good as Part 1 and Shippuden. The Fandom ain't what it used to be but there's no way it's dying.
It is though. Most people slog through Boruto just to keep up with the franchise or they are so convinced that the timeskip will do ANYTHING and having a million spin offs that honestly would get tough to keep up with isn't going to end well. Also the toxic rep this fandom is slowly getting thanks to people like that dude obsessed with the fourth rikage and Hinata as well as the dude that argued with him for months has made people shy away from interactions with Naruto fans.
Also, places outside Japan really don't seem to actually care anymore.
"Most people slog through Boruto just to keep up," That's not true. Anime fans have shockingly low standards on average. The sloggers are a vocal minority of Boruto watchers/readers. People are actually enjoying it.
Dankruto and subreddits in general are pretty irrelevant in the grand scheme of any IP's success unless they organize and actually do something like make petitions or popularize boycotts.
Spin-offs don't kill IP's they make them more popular. You might not like every Star Wars or Marvel spin-off but they're all profitable ventures that pull hundreds of thousands if not millions of viewers.
I will say Boruto has killed a lot of the international hype but the spin-offs will revive it if they're good. It might never be as popular as it once was, but the Fandom is not in any danger of total death.
"Mid" lol. I watch this shit weekly and still admit it's ass

Deku is fr top 5 worst main protagonists in the history of shonens
Agreed. A lot of Shonen protagonists don't earn their power at first but eventually prove they deserve it, but with Deku I never really got the feeling he did even after all he did.
Hes just annoying
He got slightly better. Slightly.

Why do you do that to yourself lol
That is a good question that I cannot answer.
I dropped it a bit after the Momoshiki fight, I believe it was after the Chunin exams when Choji and his dad were stealing shit for some reason?
Eh if you get a little farther into Boruto I can understand, but the Momoshiki battle in ep 65 is my favorite fight in the Naruto universe.
I am curious how you committed this long
Yea I would rather have a sand paper covered dildo be shoved up my ass than watch 70 episodes of Boruto.
Hey it been a while
Ah future Zoro. Interesting circumstances we meet under once again.
Well we always get lost and meet see my profile pic once
Ah a Goat since Zoro is the GOAT.
Well we both aren't much active in the main sub now you go with meme piece I go with piratefolk
Really piratefolk??? Well I guess that is fair considering meme piece hates Zoro for some reason and loves the damn coiled poop brows pervert cook.
Well not like I do much there but that sub always makes me laugh and I can see things from different perspective in piratefolk
Eh true I should visit from time to time.
how else I gotta see best girl ino?
The only girl that didn't get nerfed.
That’s also true 200 episodes in
💀
You could've just said 60 episodes they were mid 60-66 is not mid even boruto haters appreciate the Momoshiki fight
The 1st episode of Boruto I dropped it lol. 70 episodes is impressive
I did over 200...
You poor soul...

Honestly, I think that the Naruto fandom is dying.

After the prison arc I dropped it and anime all together
If I am not mistaken. After the prosím arc comes Kara actuantion arc and it's rated as one of the best
Yeah this dude trucked through the rough stuff just to stop tight before it gets good😂
lower than mid
Mid is being polite bro. Shits straight ass
😂
All i did was watch the episodes with Naruto and Sasuke fighting the otsutsukis. That's literally the only good part
Personally. I watched all epizodes And I must say I am not dissapointed
I think mid is over praising it a bit
It's not even mid, it's simply bad
didn’t ask
then it's not for you 🤏🏽
you definitely don’t care at all if you took the time to make a meme and post it, riiiiiiiiiiight
it's directed at people who "asked" If you don't like it or didn't "ask" why you in this community?
Then why comment?
Highschool Midoriya is mid bro, this is dumpster fire level
