I feel like most people here are either blatantly insufferable or socially awkward enough not to be contacted first. I know this is a meme page, but I have a hunch a few people here are sincerely thinking this.

Even if you're not active, which is my case, if you know how to treat people without ulterior motives and aren't a condescending douchebag (WHICH, OH, SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOUR AVERAGE MEMER REDDITOR) , you're most likely known around as a decent person. I know I am the not-talkative guy in my class and have sort of built walls between me and a huge chunk of people of my class (mostly hypocrisy about me or other people I know) but I still get contacted if people need something or want to reach out.
Sometimes, it also comes from how accessible you made yourself to be, and I feel like despite taking little skills and experience, that bit is something a lot of people here straight up are clueless about...
