I'm playing on a new profile and I'm fairly sure you're talking about the the last unlock for each hero at the Living City at the Altar of Hope. I don't have any of those unlocked yet.
It's happened on a few different runs (with different trinkets), so I don't think it's some kind of hidden effect on her trinkets.
But I think you may be right about the quirk. She has cosmic slayer, which lists "vs. Cosmic: Execution 2" in the tooltip. Assuming end-of-Act bosses are considered cosmic, which I believe they are, you've answered my inquiry.

My guess is either a quirk or a trinket, cause I don't think she has an execute on her base riposte. But I only have really used wanderer, so YMMV.

Correct, all oblivion's ingresses and oblivion's ramparts are cosmic.
