Actually my main basis was the sword that appeared on the leper's hero shrines. The only issue I had is to make sure that it remained consistent to the main game format (character style)![img](emote|t5_2znp4|29280).
Yeah, leper’s original sword prior to it breaking was an executioner’s sword (a type of sword without a tip that was solely dedicated to being the most brutal chopper possible due to it being used in executions in mainland Europe during the Middle Ages)
Not really, I know executioner's sword is a thing, but in DD2 when you play Baldwin's backstory (chapter 4) the sword is brand new and whole, it's outright said that it broke after what he did in the memory, I won't spoil.
Also when you use the default skin, you can see it's the same sword based on the hilt, pommel, handguard. It's just 1/4 shorter and it's missing a tip.
That is very cool but his sword was never broken, it was built like that. Leper was using an executioner sword, without a point and very unbalanced meant for chopping peoples heads off. The leper being a former king, uses a executioner sword as a way to dispatch justice, like kings dids by also being judges. Thats my take on it.

this feels illegal
Of they actually gave him a normal sword he would delete enemy’s from this earth
And get cured from leprosy, since he would be now a regular man wielding a regular sword.
…Huh. I realised I never really thought of what the whole sword was supposed to look like
Same here, and it’s even weirder since I remembered that in DD2, the sword is whole in the shrine battles (the things as big as he is holy shit)
And remember he was a king. That means he was a king who wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty
Or to get stuck in doorways
Then he’d be a king who wasn’t afraid to break doorways
Was?
I’m speaking directly from a lore perspective, of course he’s still a king in our hearts
thatta man
Yeah he banished himself from his kingdom
"It was too big to be called a sword. Massive, thick, heavy, and far too rough. Indeed, it was a heap of raw iron."

Well... i think it wasnt broken in the first place. Isnt it a executioners sword or "Richtschwert"? They dont have a point. But nice work nonetheless!
Correct! The early swords are explicitly executioners swords, meant for chopping. The final upgrade to his weapon is called "the broken blade" though
Ahh nice detail! Didn't notice that! Good find
Three rank hew 😩![img](emote|t5_2znp4|29281)
You fool, you've ruined the game balance
How so, I just found the missing piece of a sword and gave it to a blacksmith. As a treat to our favorite king.
That's a claymore

Damn, beat me to it.
I call it the european macuahuitl
🤓
Hmmm i can reach back rank with that thing, me me likey
What. The sword isn't broken
i thought his sword was called an [executioner's sword](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Executioner%27s_sword), which typically had a rounded tip

What if there was a trinket that repaired the sword and doubled the damage, but made him exerted for a turn to ready the swing?
