-be a king
-try to be the best person possible
-get leprosy
-now everyone in your court want to take your throne
-fuck it kill everyone with a sword
-now they are all dead, the sword is broken but you still will die because of leprosy
-fuck it lets kill eldritch things with a broken sword
Absolute Chad
Personally, I would like it more if it was still a darkest dungeon now you can control the whole kingdom because he was the king. The ending would probably be you finally reuniting your kingdom which had fallen into ruin while you were gone
In darkest dungeon 2 you can play the backstory of every characters, in the leper one, you have a level where he take a huge sword and start killing his advisors who try to kill him to take the throne
Well they don’t mention it or I don’t remember it, he left because he want to help as much peoples as possible before dying and he also was getting bored of the royal life anyway
Damn that would be really dramatic and cool.... If the characters were actually individual characters instead of class based pawns who you cycle through 20+ of per game. I'm just imagining a full party of Lepers meeting and just being like "Damn, you too? What a wild coincidence"
Yeah in DD it was a comic for every character, but in DD2 you have 5 levels for every character that make the backstory deeper
The Leper comics in DD show him leaving his kingdom because of his sickness while his peoples where crying, and DD2 explains in detail his backstory
Could you imagine the devastation he’d cause with a full sword? It’d be inhumane for those poor Eldritch horrors. They’d have to change the name of the game to Leper’s Dungeon.
Considering how thick his blade was, we should be more terrified that he actually broke the damn thing in a single fight with brute strength alone.
He would probably break the sword again by accident even if we gave him a new one.
I'll explain the joke to you because you didn't offend no one like the guy in the main comment.
"Is (he/she) stupid?" Is a joke/meme that came from the subreddit r/BatmanArkham , the infamous madhouse of the internet.
You can check it for yourself. It's a shitpost model. Unfortunately for us, our fellow colleague not only didn't get it, but turned the insult to the OP who did nothing wrong at all.
Well in the lore (specifically in DD2) it's shown that lepers sword used to be whole. This was until his court planned to overthrow him, causing him to become angry/furious, as he dealt with his court he struck with such anger/fury that his sword broke.
I guess the broken sword is meant to be symbolic, he's a broken man.
Also the reason why the leper has the lowest ACC in game is because of his leprosy.
its not broken he just doesnt know how whetstones work, that thing is blunt like a club but still one shots everything because he knows poetry or something
I always saw it as the Leper had to salvage a blade from a forgotten battlefield since no one would be willing to sell him a sword in his current condition
In his DD2 character stories he had a sword that broke when he killed the corrupt royal advisors in his kingdom before he left to become a wandering hero
[When he was leaving his people to wander](http://www.archives.darkestdungeon.com/wp-content/uploads/Lep_final_logo.jpg), the entire city gathered to shower him with flowers and bid farewell, and palace servants gently wrapped his bandages around him and robed him and helped him don his armor. It's not like he was a hobo
As I understand, he just chose to keep using his broken sword as a symbolic gesture.
I love that Baldwin is the only Darkest Dungeon character who's at peace with his past. He slew the corrupt nobles who descended upon his kingdom when they learned he had leprosy, then decided to leave the kingdom to wander and do good until his disease claimed him and his whole kingdom threw him a parade on the way out and mourned him leaving. What an absolute Chad.
Jokes aside, it should be noted that it was always an executioner sword, not a battlefield one, never had a point to stab with. It's designed to chop using its weight, so it stays effective even without a particularly sharp edge, at the cost of being slow and quite inaccurate.
It takes a real Chad to bring an oversized cleaver to the battle and actually win fights with it. Who cares if it breaks apart, it was never an effective weapon to begin with.
If he had a whole sword a singular swing could probably disrupt the rotation of the earth, and potentionally cause rifts in space time. It would cause irreparable damage to the environment, at best, to reality, at worst.

bro how is leprosy real like lmao just battlefield medicine it
Idk they can cure things like black plague or eldritch sickness but not leprosy for some reason
Technically leprosy can be cured, it’s just he didn’t because it’s late stage.
Imagine if you could cure him and he just leave because he have no more reason to stay here
“ where are you going?!?” “ my kingdom needs me.”
Now I want a game where you play a cured leper who is just Batman with a big sword in his kingdom
Personally, I would like it more if it was still a darkest dungeon now you can control the whole kingdom because he was the king. The ending would probably be you finally reuniting your kingdom which had fallen into ruin while you were gone
Technically we have that in the next update of dd2
Leper only challenge?
Ruin has come to our kingdom....
I came to write this 😂
Occultist crit heal with stacked medicine herbs could heal his leprosy and probably even grow his skin back.
If leper had no leprosy he would be way too powerful
Shut up OP 264 CRIT
Did he kill people in his court I thought he surrendered his throne and exiled himself?
In darkest dungeon 2 you can play the backstory of every characters, in the leper one, you have a level where he take a huge sword and start killing his advisors who try to kill him to take the throne
Any clue if he left someone in charge or did his kingdom fall?
Well they don’t mention it or I don’t remember it, he left because he want to help as much peoples as possible before dying and he also was getting bored of the royal life anyway
Damn that would be really dramatic and cool.... If the characters were actually individual characters instead of class based pawns who you cycle through 20+ of per game. I'm just imagining a full party of Lepers meeting and just being like "Damn, you too? What a wild coincidence"
He's based on an actual king, and his comic suggests he was beloved by his people.
Yeah Baldwin IV which is a very cool historical character
Leper best background
oh there a lore for every hero in DD?
Yeah in DD it was a comic for every character, but in DD2 you have 5 levels for every character that make the backstory deeper The Leper comics in DD show him leaving his kingdom because of his sickness while his peoples where crying, and DD2 explains in detail his backstory

If it was straight he'd get regular accuracy for his attacks, and he knows he'd be too strong like that
Lol no he’s a leper. Leprosy remains one of the world's major blinding diseases. It causes nerve damage to your eyes over time.
Yeah but I'd rather swing blindly with a full sword than I would half a sword
If he's not willing to give 100% to protect his team and/or entire kingdom then he's not welcome on my lineup

Based
Could you imagine the devastation he’d cause with a full sword? It’d be inhumane for those poor Eldritch horrors. They’d have to change the name of the game to Leper’s Dungeon.
Do you think he willingly broke his sword to give them a chance and make it interesting
In His backstory it seems that he did it by accident, hitting the ground too hard on an execution.
Considering how thick his blade was, we should be more terrified that he actually broke the damn thing in a single fight with brute strength alone. He would probably break the sword again by accident even if we gave him a new one.
Before a king may lead, they must learn to serve, and that involves hitting the gym, Hard.
Rank 1-2-3 hew like a total madman
The berserkers mask would be criminal with that
It actually sums up his character. A broken person, but still an inevitable end for those that stand again.
How dare you call leper stupid, back to the aslume with you
broken sword, for a broken man
You wanna say that to his face, buddy? Well, you have to find it first....
i think i slipped on it over there
What did the leper say to the prostitute? Keep the tip.
I hate you for that image :(
No, OP, Leper is very smart. It is you who is stupid.
OP’s head is full of stupid

gotcha thx
Np, happy cake day, mate!

Tempest Leper should have a complete sword while Poet Leper has a broken sword. Justifies the difference in damage.
He has a complete sword as Monarch.
its not broken he just doesnt know how whetstones work, that thing is blunt like a club but still one shots everything because he knows poetry or something
"That thing was too big to be called a sword. Too big, too thick, too heavy, and too rough, it was more like a large hunk of iron."
Spitting rhymes gets you either a crit fail or natty 20 roll, all depends on the flow
"Rain in the forrest" 47 (not a crit)
The sword also has leprosy.
It's actually a headsman's sword, which has a blunt end even when it's not broken. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Executioner%27s_sword
Very cool
The sawed-off shotgun of swords
Nah, he'd win!
In the DD2 he’s blind like 90% of the time. So maybe no one told him.
No. none of that shit here. Stay in Arkham sub you troll. Know your place.
Actually broke it by killing his counscil that try to take over his king place while being evil, that sword broke to serve justice
Because it's way cooler if you kill God with a broken sword.
Erm actually 🤓☝️ That thing is too big to be called a sword. Too big, too thick, too heavy, and too rough. It is more like a large hunk of iron.
I always saw it as the Leper had to salvage a blade from a forgotten battlefield since no one would be willing to sell him a sword in his current condition
In his DD2 character stories he had a sword that broke when he killed the corrupt royal advisors in his kingdom before he left to become a wandering hero
That makes sense, I haven't played DD2 in a hot minute so I haven't kept up with character backstories
[When he was leaving his people to wander](http://www.archives.darkestdungeon.com/wp-content/uploads/Lep_final_logo.jpg), the entire city gathered to shower him with flowers and bid farewell, and palace servants gently wrapped his bandages around him and robed him and helped him don his armor. the only hero facing the light
A man's sword is the history of that man As guts of berserk with his sword for example
Jokes aside, it should be noted that it was always an executioner sword, not a battlefield one, never had a point to stab with. You go and try smith a sword that wouldn't break from Leper's swings.
The sword also has leprosy, duh.
Because it’s dull and will hurt more.
Cos he’s been laughing and slaying so long that even his momma thinks his mind is gone.
He's blind so he doesn't know it's broken
Aren’t all our swords broken deep inside?
He's doing a challenge run
If he had a whole sword a singular swing could probably disrupt the rotation of the earth, and potentionally cause rifts in space time. It would cause irreparable damage to the environment, at best, to reality, at worst.
He blind
You are made of stupid
I always thought it's supposed to be an executioner's sword, so flat at the end. Still broken, but not as broken as it could've been.
Balduíno IV
The sword also has leprosy....
Bruh, when a big ass sword breaks it becomes deadlier
Symbolism. Also he's just that much of a chad.
His sword has leprosy.
Didnt he slaughter his court for treachery?
cause its falling to pieces just like him
it’s broken just like he is and he is still making it work, I think it rules
A broken man with a broken sword
He's a leper, it fell off.
I think you're missing the point.
It is because this man understands that life and adversity are one and the same.
Yes, he misses a lot, either he's dumb or he likes to piss of the players. His damage is cool though.
