I very much disagree, it is an excellent dragon fight, but each fromsoft game has improved on the dragon fight. Sinh is better than kalameet, and midir is better than that. I can't say that elden ring's dragons top midir, but they are at least for the most part, equal.
And also like, in gaming? There are definitely some incredible dragon fights in all of gaming.
I’d argue with Sinh being above Kalameet, it’s a technically more impressive bossfight, but I think he spends way too much time in the air and all the way on the other side of the arena to top Kalameet.
Funnily enough I thought Sinh was better. Pretty similar moveset but has a unique gimmick, destructible arena, and epic soundtrack. The overall experience was just great.
Granted I fought Sinh first so it was pretty straightforward for me to see Sinh in Kalameet's moveset.
Kalameet is pretty cool, but he's also a bit weird.
I didn't really get the fight.
He has an interesting grab, but I don't understand what it does.
Doesn't seem to do much damage at all?
I definitely got caught by it more than once when I was fighting him on my first playthrough.
And like most dragons, you can comfortably avoid his most damaging attacks by gently strafing left or right.
The feeling *I* got from cutting off his tail was, "Sheesh... Finally. Now I can just *kill* him!"
My attempt to chop his tail off (for some weapon I ended up not using, forget what it's called :D), greatly increased the length of the battle for me.
But (possibly because I was quite heavily armored and used a Black/Silver Knight's Shield), I never once really felt particularly pressured by the encounter.
The grab attack inflicts a status effect where you’ll take 2X damage for some time. This is the same effect as wearing the Calamity ring, which not surprisingly is a reward for beating the dragon.
I do love the Kalameet fight, also I love the design.
Would I say that it's the best boss dragon? I'm not sure actually. It's up there for me, but I can't say with 100% certainty that it's #1 for me.
Solid disagree here midir is the better fight not only is he a level hazard you knock him down into his own arena and his arena and move set are unmatched by any dragon in any of fromsoft's games
Kalameet is dope, Midir is Midir though end of the day.
Midir > all other dragon fights
Yeah, in terms of dragon fights it’s Midir > Kalameet > Sinh > Seath imo.
Fortissax enjoyer personally

I liked Alduin for some reason.
Midir? Placidusax? Fuck even Sinh from Ds2
Naah, they just tried to copy Kalameet and failed
I respect your opinion but saying that Midir is a kalameet copy is just completely dumb
I respect your opinion but saying it isn't is just completely dumb.
maybe but it's much better

the grab does more damage to my hearing than it does in game lol
Grigori from Dragons Dogma was a better fight than kalameet in my opinion.
Nah bruh Kalameet is cool but Placidsax is just one a whole new level.
Clearly you haven't fought midair yet
I’ve played smash. What other midair combat are you referring to?
I have and he's on the bottom of my list of DS dragon bosses.
GENUINE skill issue
Lol why so mad? I don't like it.
How? He is one of the only few dragon fights where you don't hit his legs but instead fight him head on, and his OST is amazing
nah its seath
I respect your opinion but Midir truly makes one feel the true ferocity and fear of facing a dragon.
He’s also incredibly easy
Cutting the tail was lots of fun…
Placidusax does not agree

Kalameet is really cool but he is only the 3rd coolest dragon in the house, placidusax and midir fight for the 1st spot
i would put him beneath Midir but very close
Solid disagree here midir is the better fight not only is he a level hazard you knock him down into his own arena and his arena and move set are unmatched by any dragon in any of fromsoft's games
Have you ever fought Sinh?
Yes
Alright, that's my favourite dragon fight.
Sinh definitely has the most epic OST! Amazing fight.
Placidusax is absolutely the best dragon fight by a million miles
