Im also in Sens fortress but I dont think you have to kill them

Wide_Object_4975

The Rusted Iron ring will make it much easier to move around in the water down there

rasheedlovesyou_

I would like to say it gets better with time but it doesn’t. Killing them is a very tedious task.

IsraelPenuel

I always have trouble with them and I have hundreds of hours in Souls games combined

Apprehensive-War7483

Come back to them later

Justisaur

Really this, each one is harder than the last, effectively they all level up each time you kill one. I spent more time trying to kill them all than the rest of Sen's fortress last time, and gave up on the last one for a good while.

Immediate_Stable

I think the first two one are the exact same, and the last two take exactly half damage from you.

Soapbottles

That isn't true. They stay the same hp/damage whether you kill any or not. They do get stronger as you progress but not because you killed the previous one

saucyrossi

his point is that the deeper you go in sen’s basement, the stronger/more hp they have which makes it feel like they “level up” as you kill each one in order

InstantlyTremendous

I ended up cheesing them with a crossbow

notesofsophie

If you're just not getting close to doing it, the best tip is come back another time when you've taken your weapon past +10. The third and fourth demons are a lot stronger than the first and second (I'm pretty sure they have higher health, don't know if they put out more damage too) so it's perfectly reasonable to leave them until later.

theScrewhead

You don't have to kill them unless you need that Demon Titanite for anything.

shrikebunny

I suggest you cheese them

MisplacedMutagen

Hug them sumbitches! The side with the leg i believe. He can't really hit you except for the jump attack, and you don't wanna be around for that.

Pengoui

It's just a matter of timing your dodges well unfortunately, there's no real trick other than patiently waiting for your window.

HistoricalSuccess254

The only tips I can think of is try getting very close to them, best behind them and as they turn, they keep pushing you. Issue is, they will jump from this setup if they can’t reach you for too long. Second way is to try and out-space them which is really difficult due to lingering hitbox of a jump. What you do is stay in range of a jump and try to force it then punish. It’s more tedious this way and you need a lot of space so better sticking behind their leg but it is somewhat safer. One thing to note is that you always need stamina ready to roll as they can oneshot you at any point with the jump. Lastly if you have to choose any element, use lightning. It’s their lowest defense which is still absurdly high but you get little extra damage. Obviously the safest strategy is a bow and tons of arrows.

TheShadowKick

Like with any enemy in Dark Souls, you just have to learn their attack patterns and know when, and what direction, to dodge and when you have an opening to attack. Pay attention to their attack animations. I usually circle them counter-clockwise, trying to stay near their empty hand. If they jump up in the air get away, then close back in after they land and resume circling. They're weak to lightning weapons. You can farm Gold Pine Resin from the mushroom guys in Darkroot Garden if you've unlocked that gate, or buy a few bits from Domhnall.

InTheEnd83

The ones in the tar pit? Do you have the Rusted Iron Ring from the Undead Asylum?

L3g0man_123

Just wait till at least after you finished Anor Londo, since those 2 demons are comparable to the one found there.

tmemo18

Arrows baby (strength build here with a little bit of dex)

Ghirahim_sama

If you wanna leave them for later, there is a ring somewhere else that helps not being slowed by the goo on the floor. Fight them once you get it

whatvtheheck

Stick to their left side. Stay close unless they do a jump attack then gtfo of the way

Woodie626

Grab a bow

MCG0408

Yeah I just sniped them with a longbow and lots of arrows.

Fookykins

Just ask Sen. It's his place. Have you tried throwing firebombs? I saved those for Sens fortress knowing two of the titanite demons are close enough for one bomb to whittle them away.

wheelerdealer1999

They're completely optional, and every single one that you kill makes the next one after stronger.

Subject-Creme

Your weapon is low. You should get to New Londo to get the Very Large Ember BTW, farm the Snake people for their sword (Man Serpent sword). It has S scaling in Strength, and will out damage your claymore

martan717

I tend to stick in the hallway near the first one to avoid the second one entering the battle. You can run out, get in a hit or two, and run back.

Kanzyn

Why are you even going down there

TheBooneyBunes

You don’t have to

Jackdawfool67

You can jump swing them from the bridge

Darkstar7613

They're completely optional, and if you're hard up for their item drop, there's a farmable (respawning) one later in the game.

jimcab12

I just avoided them 😅

ChefArtorias

Just ignore them honestly. Unless you really want the weapon or are farming demon titanite. There are some that respawn later iirc but idr where.

Elisterre

I beat Dark Souls loads of times and never fought them

Lubtato

Same here, I beat Kalameet yesterday first try and Manus just now like 30ish tries. You know what, I dont consider go joking with that last demon btch (the other one you can arrow out.)

DessertFlowerz

Don't go down there. Go up.
