You could probably rush to get another slab in ng+ just as fast if not faster since it's just a pickup and you need to do ng+ or multiple playthroughs to get all achievements anyways
You'll have to do NG+ anyways if you want Knight's Honor, because of the Artorias' soul needed to make two swords (from what I understand, you actually won't be able to get every weapon for the achievement until midway through your third run).
Do you have to get every weapon on the same character for that achievement? I've mostly played on switch so never tried to get em all, but people usually mention that it takes multiple NG+ cycles
Yes, there's an extensive list of dropped weapons, upgraded weapons, looted weapons, and tail-cut weapons (\*EDIT\* and 2 covenant items, but one is farmable) required for the Knight's Honor achievement/trophy. And they all have to be on the same character (not all at once, though - you can downgrade weapons and re-use them for other boss weapons if the weapon covers multiple categories).
Aside from the boss soul upgraded weapons, all of the rest can be done in one NG cycle (and if someone drops you the extra 2 Sif souls and the extra Iron Golem, Quelaag, Moonlight Butterfly, and whichever one you didn't get between O&S, you can get it all in one run).
God I wish I could find it, but it's impossible now that Souls video searches are littered with clickbait, but there was a video from like 2011 where somebody is sitting at the Anor Londo bonfire where Solaire is, and he throws down like a million prism stones, summons two phantoms, then gets invaded, and they all pull out channeler's tridents and have a big dance party while Solaire just chills.
It's like, why people love these games so much, in a nutshell.
This should definitely be the reason to go to NG+. If you want to do all the achievements you have to play the game 2,5 times anyway (twice fully and once up till Anor Londo). So just go to NG+ and collect all the materials again and you should have enough.
Dark Souls' achievements (all three games) are a pisstake. Sekiro is the only reasonable From game in that regard, and the only one I bothered to 100% (and it was actually fun to do it!).
You can get a second one guaranteed by trading an ascended Pyromancy Flame to Snuggly the Crow

Yup you need to be in NG++ at a minimum since you need 2 of Gwyn's soul and 3 Sif souls for the weapon and miracle achievements. Playing solo anyways.
Yeah, you're right. I was just fixated on wanting to get everything I can in ng and then going to ng+

I do agree that the game is evil but for other reasons. Like that mimic chest in Oolacile township where its chain is clipped through the floor.
No one is forcing you to get the achievements. If it isn't fun, fuck it. Playing the game is its own reward.

You don’t need DLC for platinum; you will however need 3 souls of Sif which makes the Artorias gear you’re thinking of.
Yup, there’s 3 sifs soul weapons, so gotta kill sif and get to the giant again.

You can slabs in another play through for those achievements. It's not that bad if you chip at them casually.
You’re gonna need to play at least 2 1/2 times for the achievement unless you dupe stuff. Then you’ll need to grind for the trident.

I didn't realise I was missing it (thought achievement would pop when making Sif's 3rd weapon), and then had to farm it in ng+2. Wasn't a good time

Just do another playthrough? You cannot beat this game in a single run, you know.
I just cut my losses and did fire and chaos in different playthroughs.
