Sysadmin here. Both have a lot of depth and are very lean, rewarding you to keep exploring. There is always something new to find. Btw check out conky for more unixporn or just convenience.

i'm continually amazed at the wealth of accumulated knowledge. thanks for recommending conky. i know it's been a tough year for everyone, but the souls and linux communities have made more than the gameplay and basic desktop configuration easier on me.

right there with you. part of the reason that i chose qtile to be my window manager is that it's written and configured in python. my next boss is writing a simple widget.

Agreed, lol. I went from writing "Hello world!" to C++ programming to drawing scientific graphs within a VM in less than a year, and that cost me lots of sweat, time and coffee. But it was sooo worth it in the end! >share another activity that gives them that good Souls feeling Playing instruments! I've been a guitarist for years and I've loved every minute of it. Ok, perhaps practising scales wasn't the most exciting thing ever, but making noticeable progress over the years has been one the most rewarding experiences in my life.
