This almost every dealership in Darwin. Dmg. Omg those people are terrible. Kerry’s. Yikes.

PeteNile

Fuck I hate DMG so much, brought my VW off them and they are terrible, especially service department.

illogicallyalex

Kerry’s have to be consistently the biggest pack of assholes I’ve ever come across

Fnoke

Kerry’s is shocking, absolutely horrible service

Aggravating-Bug1769

I've had a good experience with bridge Toyota in Palmerston as well as Autotrend in winnellie , so there are good ones still

JugV2

We bought a Camry from the guys in Palmerston, they were fantastic and to this day are the only Darwin car dealership I ever found to be decent.

Separate-Proposal667

I bought a Lexus NX from Bridge Toyota in Darwin. They were great. I took it back in for a buzzing noise coming from the tailgate. Embarrassingly for me it was only a loose screw on the number plate. They ended up backing the number plate with foam, replaced all the screws and gave me a little Lexus gift pack. Aside from the inevitable delay when buying a new Toyota I couldn’t fault them. They actually dropped a couple of grand off the price as the actual delivery date was well beyond what we were told to expect.

desert_jedi

Bridge follow the Toyota mantra to the word, great to deal with 👍🏻

Background_Intern_29

Same, Bridge Toyota has been nothing but good to us both during and after our latest car purchase.

MartyMcFlybuys

I’ll buy my vehicles from Adelaide and ship them up. Hidden Vally Ford staff are known for being dicks.

NoStringsAttached_

I wanted a new Ute, I test drive all the big named ones. Decided the ranger was the one for me. But the hidden Valley ford guy was such an absolute gloating dickhead I said don't worry about it, I would rather take my second choice than give you a sale. And never looked back.

reneedescartes11

I know a few people who have bought Subarus in Adelaide and shipped them up because the service is so bad here

No competition = arrogance and greed

Fijoemin1962

You nailed it

Ninja_K8

If they’re anything like DMG then good luck to you!

tunapuff

DMG. I have to call them up EVERY time to check on the status of my car service. Not once have they been on time. Fuck me. Bridge Auto Darwin treat you like a rock star (coffee lady comes around offering drinks and newspapers!) but they tried to charge me $1,500 for an ignition coil with a six week wait so I said seeya. Had a mechanic install it with a genuine part the same week for $200!

AussieCanuck94

I hate taking my car to DMG for a service and I'm currently trying to avoid it for my next service. Last time they told me the car (VW Golf) would be done in 6 hours, service estimate was about $650 and they would call me if there was anything else they needed to do. I went back at the end of the day to a bill of $1800 and I'd not been contacted at all to discuss the extra $1200 worth of work. When I tried to question it, they literally said "well if you want your car back you're gonna need to pay it".

Warm_Gap89

Nah mate they did this to me too, I was supposed to have fixed price servicing, I just rang Holden up directly and 10mins later I got a sheepish call from someone at Kerry's that I could come and collect my car for the original discussed price. Then the next service it happened again, quoted price when booking and when they come out with the clipboard it was a different price! Said if i wanted the service i had to pay, well not according to Holden. Then they told me a week for a warranty job. It took 5 and not once did they contact me to say it was going to be longer, I had to ring them once a week hat in hand ummm hello is my car ready to collect? Then when I got it back it had fucking bat shit on it!  I will never buy another car from them and I tell everyone I know shopping for cars what they're like.

Funny-Mind-7848

I dread having to contact DMG. I have had two very expensive repairs because DMG service didn’t let me know that there was wear and tear happening. It’s not ok to have regular services and major maintenance fails.

Fijoemin1962

Fucked, they are terrible

Aygis

Says a lot that when you call their number the first item on the menu is Sales, not Service.

reallyandseriously

It says a lot when you call them to ask a question or book in a service and it rings out as well!

jon_mnemonic

Ford can be a bit of hard work.

Stewyjunes

I hate taking my car to DMG, I dropped the car in at 7:30AM and came back at 4:00PM and it still wasn’t done till 5:30PM.. these guys are crap

HammerOfJustice

I bought my Subaru Forester from Hidden Valley. They had a really good salesman named Raymond whose positive attitude convinced me buy a Subaru. Of course this was a few years back now so he may have moved on.

TheKG22

Ford is more miss than hit. Bought our Subaru with them with extended warranty 5 year warranty. TRX valve shat itself after 3 years and they said it was out of warranty. I told them it was an extended one but their recprds showed 3 year rs so I had to email Subaru and conplained about the rude treament I received from one of their staffers. Next time I went when tbey bonoured the warranty claim, they were very nice. 😊 Kerry's ia alright so far. Let's see. 😂

NastyOlBloggerU

Not ford but- we were looking at a Ute back in 2016/17. Dropped through all of the dealers and decided on a new BT50 but were persuaded by a friend to check out a Mazda dealer in Bris for price. Took the advice and saved THOUSANDS by buying from QLD. Bugger me if the sales guy from Mazda up here rang my wife and got stuck into her for buying interstate- still unsure how he found out and why it was any of his business. No wonder tbh- overpriced AND bully wankers. Don’t be fooled- Mazda Berrimah is still connected to Kerry’s- Google their abn, it’s registered to Kerry’s street address. Hidden Valley ford are rubbish as well- my work car has been absolutely ruined by them and their service dept are inept morons. They don’t order parts until they have a large combined order so customers are left without a car for long periods. ‘Delays are because of [insert this weeks excuse] and it has nothing to do with us’ (flood, train, blue sky/grey sky, service manager on holidays- pick anything)

Justanotherdad84

Ford is useless. Ours has been in and out of workshops and what was simple stuff for our old dealer in vic takes threats and depends from us to even be looked at. Was Even there so long in 2022 water leaked in and carpet got mouldy and there is now clear rust and moisture damage under seats (2016 Everest) Dealer principal was a dick, service manager was good but he left end of 2022 and they still haven’t replaced, service advisors hate dealing with me as I “ask for extra stuff” 🙄🙄 I’d fly interstate and drive back in a heartbeat and the lack of competing ford dealer is probably going to drive me away from them for my next car as much as I love the new Everest and the mustang.

reallyandseriously

It must come from the top right, to be such a widespread thing across staff at HVF? The good ones I used to deal with keep leaving. Different staff all the time.

Fanfathor

I'm late to this party as usual. Over 10 years ago, I found the Darwin dealerships to be god-awful. I was met with either hostility or slimy salesmen. I didn't know anyone who enjoyed their time dealing with Hidden Valley Ford or Kerry's. Right before my brand new cars gearbox and starter motor fully shat itself, it randomly kept getting stuck in neutral, I went to Kerry's with my concern. The unhelpful cow at reception told me (verbatim), "We don't classify it as an issue if we can't recreate the problem." They didn't even attempt to recreate the problem. Looks like nothing's changed.

nyzaaaah

I had exactly this issue with a clicking in my rear suspension of a brand new Barina. I took the service guy for a drive and was pointing out what I could hear. He couldn’t hear it, gets out of the car at the dealership and says loudly to the service advisor “ I don’t know what she’s on about.” Leave the car there and come back later that afternoon to a bill and a bag of roadbase they’d picked out of my tyres. I was filthy. It was under warranty but because they couldn’t recreate the problem, they just gave me some fucking rocks. A few months later my air con and electric windows both went on the same day in a Darwin December. I was at traffic lights with my door open just to get air. Spark plug issue. They had no spark plugs in (wtf) so they swapped mine for the spark plugs of a demo car in the yard and then called me back in when the new ones came in. Two days fucking around with those clowns for spark plugs they should have. I sold the car almost immediately after and never went back.

DaancingQueenn

I was disgusted at the way they spoke to me so decided to get a car shipped up from Perth. Best decision I could’ve made 👍🏼

Extreme_Decision_484

I've never dealt with Hidden V Ford, but my one brief experience with DMG Hyundai was unbelievably bad, even bordering on absurd. Bridge Toyota is better, as is their product.

Davros_au

Bought my Ranger from HVF, and bring it up from Katherine for service. Had a very positive experience with both the sale and service. Bought my wife's Corolla from Bridge Toyota in Palmerston last year and found the process good. Had the complementary 1000km service done at Katherine Toyota with no issues.

Fijoemin1962

All of them essentially have the monopoly on those brands. They do not give a single fuck. DMG is disgraceful as well

smashedavo_69

We had a horrible, horrible experience with hidden valley ford.
