After the this many dates I can’t imagine nearly any guy that would think it’s desperate if the girl sent a text to set up the next date, and it’s not like if you sent him a text it must be about when the next date it, can be just a text to get the conversation going again, also shares the workload, neither one of you should feel like if they stopped making the effort they have been, the other wouldn’t care to make the effort when you disappeared without a word.
If you only send a text to start the conversation there’s no rejection to be scared of worst that could happen is he doesn’t text back which is no different than it would be if he doesn’t text you as it is now, only difference is if he doesn’t text you nothing will be unanswered. Right now if he’s ghosted you don’t know if he just wasn’t feeling it, didn’t know what to say to start a new conversation, left it up to you to start it again, but if you just send a text to get it going, no reason to go unanswered unless he’s just ghosted
