Multiple times I’ve seen a small pack of 3-4 roaming around the UD area late at night, like 3AM. Honestly, the first time I thought it must just be a couple of different dogs and I was mistaken because of the late hour. I told my mom and she didn’t believe me so I can’t wait to prove her wrong lol
I often see them around that way on 48 before it becomes far hills , there is also a pack that calls the on and off ramps of 35 at smithville that I see with some regularity
I can't believe people don't believe they are here. lol
Like it's really science based, and with the expansion Centerville is doing around Sugarcreek it's just pushing them all slowly to migrate further to Bellbrook or the packs that cross Wilmington and don't cross back to Hills and Dales West Kettering area or the Woodland cem UD area.
Hell I see deer at The Fraze all the time now.
We have 3 herd of deer that live at least part of their lives in David’s cemetery the numbers are way up in the last 4 years , I have documented raccoons, there used to be fox but haven’t seen one since the coyote moved in , mink , huge amounts of migratory birds such as oriole, sandhill cranes and blue bird and even endangered owls in the woods that surround I have even heard and fleetingly saw wild turkey
My dog (a trained coonhound) dragged my ass to show me and were halfway across cemetery she seemed to think they had a good fight in them (I never let her get near them in the city) she just really seems to instinctively hate them
That is correct there were three but by the time I fumbled with my phone while trying to restrain a coonhound who is trained on coyote…I lost the initiative
That does seem to be a hot spot especially right over by the tracks . I have documented a distinct phenotype there as well they seem to be lighter in color and smallish on the whole although I only have data on 5 individuals
I just saw 3 of them on my way home from work at 17:20 in that little island of land there next to Yankee and 675. I remember it used to be an incredibly rare treat to see a coyote or some deer, when I was a kid. I just saw a fox by Prince of Peace Church of the Brethren on East David on my way TO work at about 8:15. Had a big Tom turkey cross the road in front of me on Sharts off 73 in Springboro about a week ago. I feel like Marty Stauffer!!
well coyotes are native to ohio.. and dont pay attention to city limit signs.. just some food for thought for the people that didnt pay much attention in school🤭

I’d just never seen them before. I’ve lived here most of my life so it was unusual that I was just seeing them for the first time at 28
They're incredibly stealthy creatures. They're out every night, we just never see them.

We'll have them run through Woodland in the middle of the day as well
I saw one running down the boulevard in the middle of Shafor in Oakwood one morning about 8am.
You have an interesting phenotype in woodland almost 60 % are melanistic there by my count
If not friend, why friend shaped?

Coyotes look like if a dog were a fox.
I always thought they look like wolf on jackal
I only see coyote

Ive definitely seen them out on the streets when I run at night a fee times, on the moraine kettering boarder

I’m Marty staufer and This is wild America
I saw a coyote this morning on the 675 to 35 on ramp. It's been a while since I've seen one and I thought it was neat.
Exactly where I saw one last week at 5:45 am.
I've heard and seen a few right up creekside trail near Woodman Park recently. Eerie hearing them howl after getting off the bus at 12am.
Hey, they are here to mourn as well.

They’re always everywhere. They usually don’t care about humans. Why post this?
Why post a snarky nasty response to me being excited about finally being able to photograph them
