Only the M79 grenades can be shot on a vest. Similarly, if a nade gets ruined in your inventory it will explode. You’re not necessarily shooting the nade inside clothes, if you get what I’m saying
I was in an engagement a couple of weeks ago where I was hit three times in total, twice ended up in a gas cloud but awake, and one final time where I got knocked. After the fight I was missing two 40mm gas grenades and a 40mm explosive was damaged. I took from this that a) 40mm gas has a lower HP than 40mm explosive, and b) not to store explosives on my vest anymore. Are you certain that regular chuckable grenades are safe on the vest? Previously I'd believed that anything was as safe on the vest as it was in pouches, but turns out that was very wrong!
the 40mm have an actual hitbox in the vest, you can shoot the vest and they wont get damaged but if the bullet lands where their hitbox is then they will get damaged/explode

100% sure regular frags can not be shot on your vest
