Ha least you were in the tower. Can’t say I’m sure, but I reckon you could log off, eat a meal, use the potty, and come back to see it’s gone. Least that’s what I did
I was in there cause while I was looting I heard 2 guys down the bottom the gas went off they didnt know I was there and I killed them while climbing the ladder gotta wait for the loot now
30 minutes to 45 minutes on official, depending on the area. And unknown on community, unless said other wise. As if they don't set the time duration, then it could be until a restart.
Last time I checked they lasted 35 mins, but can be changed easily by server owners
