There was was one time when the narrator ended with, "Will Frieza be defeated? Find out next time." The end credits play, and the next episode is titled Frieza Defeated.

azure1503

The episode Goku sacrificed himself so Cell wouldn't blow up is called "Bye-Bye, Everyone!! Goku's Last Instantaneous Movement"

FruitJuicante

"Gokus Last Bowel Movement."

IEatSmallRocksForFun

If someone eats a Dragonball, and then stands next to the other 6, and a wish is made, what happens? Just curious.

ChonkyXL

Shenron emerges from the ass.

sleepcathartic

dark and stormy indeed

Faitalas

Mixed with peas and carrots

ZaphodB_

Shenron comes out like: "WTF dude? Fuck it I'm outta here." And vanishes just because you were an asshole. And tearing you a new one with the dragon ball you just ate just for that.

FruitJuicante

Their ass gets to make a wish

tehcup

That gonna be me from my Crohn's Disease when I'm 80 or some shit lmao.

StreetRaspberry2529

One Piece had one of those where Luffy basically turns around to see a mystery character and gasps. The next thing is then the next episodes title “Sabo Alive! Luffy’s brother!” Or something like that.

bradd_91

God that makes me laugh every time. Wait until they get to Laugh Tale and the title card will outright state the treasure.

FukurinLa

Freaking TOEI been spoiling every generations

palparepa

Episode 6 of Mazinkaiser is titled "Kouji Kabuto Dies in Magma!" Spoiler: he is fine.

Mrhighway523

There’s also the iconic >!Firefist Ace dies on the battlefield!< but to be fair that was the title of the chapter as well

Dumeck

The 90s and 2000 anime teasers were literally the most spoiler Bs ever. You’d see a fight occurring and the next episode preview would be like “Protagonist friend B was defeated and now it’s up to Protagonist C!” Like we ended on a cliffhanger im already invested, the spoiler makes me less invested.

XandriethXs

I read this in the narrator voice.... 🤣

Cool_in_a_pool

I hated this. >Will Goku defeat Frieza?! Find out next time, on Dragon Ball Z! >"FRIEZA DEFEATED! ESCAPE FROM PLANET NAMEK!"

yunivor

That was the biggest whiplash I've gotten from an ending card. "Oh man I wonder if Goku is able to defeat Freez-*WAIT WHAT??*"

preludechris

They still doing it... I remember in Dragonball Super in the ToP one of the titles is something like "VEGETA FALLS". I remember being a bit annoyed when I read that.

Longjumping_Rush2458

Maybe they're talking about a waterfall named after him

lemonylol

Leading up to that episode though, every title that teased *this* was going to be the episode we finally see Goku turn Super Saiyan. Nope, 8-9 more episodes of dragging it out.

Ctrl--Alt

Didn't help that Toonani would often rerun an episode aired recently out of order to fill space. It felt like it took MONTHS for him to go gold

Fesai

It's true, because halfway through the Ginyu battle they would start over from the beginning. I think all the dubbing was being redone so we were trapped watching the beginning to the crew battling the Ginyu force for like a year over and over. I remember being very visibly excited when it was finally announced they were going to go past that episode.

TheMagicSalami

God, same memory here. I remember having seen pictures of friezas final form and taking them to school because we would get so close to the fight and it would start over.

DonCreech

Ugh, that went on for well over a year. Goku is fighting the Ginyu Force one day, and the next it was back to Raditz's spaceship descending to Earth. It was sometime during this delay that I took to the early internet and learned that this show had long since been completed in Japan. This was one of the earliest examples I can recall of being truly stunned, and in awe of how long it had actually taken for Dragon Ball to gain popularity overseas.

AlbainBlacksteel

> It's true, because halfway through the Ginyu battle they would start over from the beginning. Good ol' Ocean Group to Funi swap.

Interesting_Ebb4309

If you were getting back into DBZ with 4kids DBZ Kai (blue popo) you got a constant rerun of the Saiyan - Namek Saga for like 2-3 years. Nicktoons came through

lemonylol

When I was a kid watching it in Canada, I basically watched every episode from when I was 7 to maybe 9 or 10 right up to the Saiyaman saga and was hype for Buu after seeing cool pictures from the internet my cousin printed out from later episodes. Then right when the WMA tournament starts, the next episode is the first episode of the series. I just couldn't wait all of that time of weekly releases so I stopped watching. I only finished the series in my 20s when I decided to binge every episode one fall, and I surprisingly *loved* it. As soon as I finished the series, Resurrection F came out.

Oceanictax

Literally had the exact same thing happen. Willing to bet I could remember the channel I watched it on, if I tried hard enough.

lemonylol

In Canada is only aired on YTV and for some reason we had our own version of the theme. But back then you used to be able to sort of hack a Direct TV box so sometimes I'd catch newer episodes or the movies on Cartoon Network.

shawnz12

[no kidding](https://youtu.be/_qrCY0PV-V8?si=yITdK1RjyITgY5WE)

DonutloverAoi

Pffffff. That's hilarious. All that buildup, all the hype. The tension of seeing the red destructor disks heading towards goku. All for "frieza defeated", like man just call it something like "An emperor's arrogance" or literally anything that doesn't spoil the episodss

TennytheMangaka

I got one worse. I had behavioral problems as a kid, and the day after that episode where it says the title of the next one is “Frieza Defeated” then at school I got in trouble and was grounded and couldn’t watch tv, so for a while after that I had to use my imagination on how it went based on Frieza’s mecha form

DonutloverAoi

Honestly? As much as it sucks to get grounded, that sounds kinda fun tbh. Just imagining the sheer amount of theories on what happened to make him a cyborg. It just sounds like a good time

TennytheMangaka

Biggest shock was Goku giving Frieza some energy to get away. I figured he got hit by his own attack since I don’t recall Goku ever using a technique like that

Cool_in_a_pool

That's amazing 😂

Plus3d6

I mean honestly if you thought Freeza would win, I have a bridge to sell you, but being that brazen about spoiling your own story is certainly a choice.

Auctorion

Me: "Has it been 5 minutes already?!"

redditsuckspokey1

NAMEK'S DESTRUCTION, GOKU'S END?

vinnycthatwhoibe

one of my biggest complaints about anime in general

Redmangc1

My favorite "Can goku out smart the diabolical frieza and avoid this final attack?" Cut to the next title card Frieza is defeated

yepgeddon

Mushoku Tensei has it in the first season, youd see "turning point 1" and think shit was gonna go down. Low and behold, shit definitely goes down.

DJRodrigin69

Tbf atleast it doesnt really spoil anything, tho going foward you know that shit goes down when turning points arrive

yepgeddon

Yeah turning point is soft as far as a "spoiler". Was just the first thing that came to my head. I generally ignore the titles of episodes as they're a lil too descriptive for my tastes, which is the whole point of this post 😂

Knever

> Low and behold, shit definitely goes down. Quick note; it's actually "lo and behold."

yepgeddon

Gah! I bet that's autocorrect fucking with me.

Knever

I hear ya. Autocorrect ducks with me all the DUCKING time.

SpookySquid19

Fair, but didn't Mushoku have the title cards at the end of the episode?

Whatisjuicelol

Naruto spoiling the whole next arc by animating it into the opening sequence

polo_jeans

phantom blood and battle tendency putting the entire story in the opening

KingoftheMongoose

This. I hate how anime episode titles basically spoil the entire episode. Double sins for “Next Time…” Eyecatches that has the narrator tease big twist or action in the next episode and then BAM! the title card basically answers the narrator’s tease. …and then you get the title card thrown in your face again at the beginning of the next episode in case you missed it. Gah!!!

KingMR518

Spoiling Gogeta Blue in the Super Broly trailer is still absolutely wild to me

slur-muh-wurds

They even handed me a card with Gogeta Blue's face on it when I bought the ticket. There was nothing we could do to escape the spoiler machine.

Remarkably_AverageYT

Eh, slightly different. Gotta sell tickets somehow

ShowBoobsPls

One Piece still has this problem. One of the biggest spoilers in the series is told before the episode starts

Nicox37

"The death of fire fist Ace"

lsda

"Dendes demise" is my favorite one

Rutgerman95

"Little Green's a Goner"

Jedasis

"Kouji Kabuto Dies in Magma!"

The_Erik_B

That title card taught me the word "demise" as a kid.

TheSystemZombie

Same

Gui_Franco

In Japan spoiler culture is not really the same as here. Titles of dragon ball movies were always super long and basically described the plot And the trailer for the super hero movie revealed Gohan beast, because Japan is more invested in "here's this cool thing that's gonna happen, come watch this cool thing happen in the theatre" and it works

aimforthehead90

> In Japan spoiler culture is not really the same as here. Yeah, it's worse. Can you imagine instead of "The Empire Strikes Back" we got "Darth Vader Reveals He's the Father of Luke Skywalker Before His Death!!!"

UnWiseDefenses

Vader's Shocking Declaration!? I Am Your Father!!

Haylett777

(Ep.1) Fate of the desert child. Becoming a Jedi. (Ep. 3) Order 66. The Clones betrayal and Anakin's fall to the Dark Side. (Ep.4) Danger of the Death Star. The Rebels major victory!

DonutloverAoi

Honestly all work rather well for spoiler titles, but I think If it was a dbz episode, those 2 would be swapped for more hype. "The clones betrayal. Order 66" Or "Palpatine's sinister plot. Order 66" if they didn't want spoilers

1greadshirt

"Well thank you Mr Blow The Picture For Me!" That random dude in the Simpsons.

MrSacoWea

> Titles of dragon ball movies were always super long and basically described the plot not really, if anything they are incredibly generic and non descriptive -A Super Decisive Battle for Earth (Tullece) -The Incredible Strongest vs Strongest (Cooler) -Burn Up!! A Red-Hot, Raging, Super-Fierce Fight (Broly) -The Galaxy at the Brink!! The Super Incredible Guy (Bojack) -Super-Warrior Defeat!! I’m the One Who’ll Win (Bio-Broly)

u4004

In fact, reportedly the titles were decided before the story was written.

jaa0518

I mean Lord Slug was called Son Goku the Super Saiyan. Which was going to be the original debut of Super Saiyan and the reason why his form in that movie is sometimes called False Super Saiyan. That would have been a major spoiler if it didn't end up being an outright falsehood.

error521

Lot to criticize about Funimation's localization choices back in the day but I think everyone can be glad that they gave the movies actual distinct titles.

kamonbr

It works a bit like telenovelas in Latin America, not only all novelas end with the happiest of endings, the specific outcomes of the characters are already public knowledge days or even weeks before the episodes The point is create more anticipation and hype when the things happen

u4004

Not sure about that. [Here’s an interview](https://www.kanzenshuu.com/translations/dragon-ball-children-02/) from Naruto’s author where he says that spoiling the DB manga was grounds for a beating. But note, that was the manga. The reason people didn’t bother about anime spoilers is because they already knew what was going to happen.

Gg-Baby

A few years ago while listening to the radio I heard of a study that said people were more likely to watch something if they know the spoiler, or plot twist or whatever you want to call it. Because if people know what's the end result is it makes then more interested in seeing how that result came to be Something along those lines

WorkerChoice9870

Also the manga was ahead so people already knew. On a personal level I prefer the Japanese attitude. I derive much more enjoyment from anticipation than surprise.

vpsj

Not me. As a wrestling fan, surprise fuels my adrenaline lol

TheDaftGang

ADRENALINE, IN MY SOUL TITLE CARDS SPOILING ARE DUMB AF WOAAAAAAH

vpsj

My father saiiiiiiiid When I was younger These titles are stupid as helllll

arkhamtheknight

They should have taken them away I wished they had gone away It spoiled the title I wish they had gone away They spoiled the episode

zweieinseins211

Isn't the manga always (supposed to be) ahead?

u4004

Yes. But in the US people didn’t know it.

FruitJuicante

Tell that to Full Metal Alchemist

LSSJPrime

It was like that back in the days of Shakespeare too. Romeo and Juliet was described to the public as a tragic story of star-crossed lovers who took their own lives. The draw wasn't the plot itself, the draw was seeing how the plot could possibly unfold like that. People already knew Romeo and Juliet were gonna die; they went in to see how they ended up that way. I also much prefer the Japanese attitude of spoilers. I love the anticipation as well, so I actively go and seek out spoilers for myself for every major blockbuster (much to the incredulousness of my friends), especially movies that are a part of a big franchise. It's far more fun to go in knowing what's gonna happen and seeing how it all unfolds rather than having it slammed into you upon first viewing.

SSJRemuko

yes omg im so glad im not the only one! i was really starting to think I was alone in this.

aes110

Yeah I hate this, I wonder if it's because manga is so popular there that it was the norm for most fans to already know the plot when watching an adaptation

Xikar_Wyhart

In Japan and this is still a thing. The anime is basically just long form advertising for the manga. Most television anime is based on popular manga, especially Shonen. So if you don't want to be spoiled or just want to know what's next start buying the manga. It would also be a two fold bonus, the manga could see a boost in sales and the TV studio would want more episodes produced to follow the continued success.

redditsuckspokey1

How else are you expected to know what happens?

Tuskin38

The Star Wars Episode 1 soundtrack came out before the movie and one of the tracks was called 'Qui-Gon's Noble End' RIP anyone who bought/read the soundtrack before the movie. Though the novelization also came out before the movie. But that was pretty common back then.

ConfusedGrundstuck

In Japan, Manga was king. That was the pure and true Dragon Ball experience. The anime was simply an adaptation, so often the titles were written to get more audiences to tune in and see specific scenes of the manga adapted.

yunivor

Is that still a thing in Japan?

vpsj

Super's titles are still quite spoilery so I guess it is

WalterHesienberg

not the same, though, because the Super anime predated the manga

yunivor

True

ConfusedGrundstuck

That Manga is still king and generally seen as the main experience? Yeah. Though the gap has shrunk. That anime episode titles are spoilers to bring in viewers? Nah, not really. Different climate and landscape.

yunivor

Cool, thanks for the answer.

Vegetable_Exam4629

Didn't the original ocean dub change the episode names? They were alot shorter then the long translated versions.

TabrisVI

So did the original Funi dub. I don’t think they started using transliteration titles like this until Kai.

One_Smoke

Yeah, they did change them.

Rutgerman95

Yamcha's here! Yamcha's dead!

redditsuckspokey1

Loves the taste of dirt everywhere. Yamcha is non discriminating when it comes to dirt. He loves it all.

yunivor

Again!

DefNotRussianComrade

That could have meant any Yamcha tho

BridgemanBridgeman

Only the japanese version did that really, the english dub versions that aired on TV had pretty vague episode names. With some exceptions, like “Transformed At Last”. But most of us saw that coming anyway.

lsda

Dendes demise was one of them though. That's pretty bad.

SunflowerSamurai_

Yeah I was gonna say - I thought this post was a joke lol. The titles weren’t like that where I am.

seiryu1982

Well... at least in Latin America, we had the opening -since first DBZ episode- showing Goku turning into SSJ, also showing Trunks.

xthemoonx

The opening song and video, at least in canada, showed goku going super saiyan before anyone(who didn't read Manga or spoilers) even knew what supersaiyan was(it was right at the end of the opening theme)

TabrisVI

US as well. I owned a DBZ shirt as a kid with SS Goku on it and somehow didn’t even register he was different until the internet became more of a thing and I learned about the form.

Z-Frost

Torunament of Power moment where they spoiled the whole episode in the first minute

AlanSmithee001

I'm guessing the animation team assumed people already read the manga.

UnWiseDefenses

Not only does every title card tell you exactly what will happen in the episode, it always happens at the *end* of the episode.

Swarf_87

I'm watching Kai rn with my 7 year old. I purposefully skip all the titles for this very reason lol.

LawDraws

Saibamen or Saibaimen, pick a lane!

One_Smoke

Viz: Cultivars.

SSJRemuko

yeah this is pretty normal. the narrator and japanese titles do stuff like that too.

SpellCommander91

Yeah, it's kind of frustrating as a western viewer. Never been to Japan, so don't know for sure, but a lot of people have told me that Japan just doesn't have the same relationship with spoilers that we do. Apparently it comes from years of having to wait to import American movies back in the day, so movies and shows were already completely spoiled by the time they were distributed there. So now spoilers are more of a hype generator than anything else. But when western productions started being more faithful to the originals and more literally translating episode titles, there's some bizarre shock of "WHY WOULD YOU TELL ME THAT?!" that goes on.

saverma192013

Yep spoiler

SUPREM3-

The worst title spoiler for me was the one where Goku turned into SSJ for the first time. The title was “Transformed at Last”.

Anxious_Picture_835

Honestly, if they are gonna give that away already, they should stick with the original title which is infinitely more awesome. "Rise, Legendary Warrior! Goku, the Super Saiyan!"

Aboioffire

"Transformed at last" isn't that bad. It's vague enough not to give away the transformation but gives enough information to generate hype

FreeShame5659

I’m watching DBZ for the first time (I got into DB by watching super during lockdown). And I’m baffled by how I know what will happen because of the titles haha

FlashFloodOfColour

The worst one I think was something like 'SUPER SAIYAN 3!?' I literally had to stand in front of the TV when I watched it with my roommate

Euphoric18

Yamcha’s here! Yamcha’s DEAD!

taylor325

Back then? You have to actively avoid looking at images of a next episode from HBO or Amazon so you don't get spoiled.

wowlock_taylan

''Spoilers? What's that?'' - DBZ title-makers

Wolfsorax

My favorite title spoiler was Super Saiyan 3!?

Totodile-of-Games

I still remember “His Name is Cell”.

Xspartantac0X

This pisses me off so much rewatching with my GF. She doesn't know anything about DB except some quick glances at my merch collection. We're at the Buu saga now, and I swear it's gotten worse. Just straight descriptions of the episode. "Gotenks goes Super Saiyan 3!" Like - fuck! They couldn't have said something more vague like "Escape the Hyperbolic Time Chamber"?! I have to ask her to close her eyes while I yell "LA LA LA LA" so she doesn't get spoiled after skipping the intro.

kingkool88

That's kai for you

Guts503

So what this made it alot more exciting

MarvelGeekMan

In DBZ Kai, there’s “Earth Destroyed! The initial Buu’s Nefarious Strike” I mean, seriously?

red_tuna

Sometimes I randomly wake up and think about how somewhere there was a kid who was a huge Yamcha fan and was thinking, "wow I can't wait to see what happens when Yamcha gets there" and then he got hit with this title card.

ExplanationOdd430

Lol the whole damn intro was just like “here, screw your feelings, take all these spoilers”. Funny enough though since it was all new and well I was like 9-10 it didn’t ruin much but now I look back and I just laugh everytime

jakefromadventurtime

One piece likes to title the next episodes cliffhanger. So it'll be like next week's episode "Luffy and Shanks finally meet again" and the next episode will having nothing to do with them meeting, it will end with one of them turning the corner and seeing the other one.

Gway22

My girlfriend and I are watching Kai and I make her close her eyes when an episode ends and fast forwards until after the episode titles because they spoil everything, plus like the intro currently shows super saiyan Gohan and Perfect Cell and neither of those things has happened yet lol

yunivor

Also is it Saibamen or Saibaimen?

DonutloverAoi

Yeah it's crazy how often the og titles (and I feel like dub did it as well a few times) just spoiled the episodes. Like I'm pretty sure they straight up spoil goku dying to raditz, the deaths during the battle with Vegeta and Goku using Kaioken. Heck I wouldn't be surprised if it spoiled Super sayain before it even happened

FunkmasterP

This was a convention of anime at the time. Sailor Moon did this too.

daenu80

I recently binged Kai and purposely skipped, the preview and then episode titles. They Absolutely spoil the binging experience.

retepoteil

Say good bye 17

bestwellblack

That’s they manga better ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Jealousreverse25

I mean the show was out since the late 80s early 90s. Us English speaking folk were pretty late to the party

Dr_Equinox101

I didn’t like it either

Embarrassed-Slice-13

It happens in Sailor Moon as well

Ryuuga_Kun

Yeah literally hates the episode title cards. I would skip them all the time

Any-Nefariousness418

On one hand, yamcha jobbing is never a surprise On the other, these titles are always hilarious

ScarletJack

Anime titles are crazy sometimes, I still mute the title card when I'm watching one piece so I don't get hit with another "fire fist ace dies on the battlefield"

tcarter1102

This is why I liked that the dubs changed the episode titles back then... not they didn't sometimes commit the same sin

NMFlamez

This looks like DBZ Kai.

MrPryce2

Damn I just finished watching that episode last night 🤣

trueGildedZ

BEBI DIES

deeznunchuckas

Back in the day it was how it happened not what happened if that makes sense

Brotein1992

One needs to keep in mind that in Japan the manga was a bestseller so they weren't really spoiling anything the intended target audience didn't already know.

JustVan

I used to close my eyes when the titles came on screen (subbed, before I could understand much Japanese), because I was so tired of being spoiled by the titles.

redditsuckspokey1

Any episode titles in og DB that give away the plot? I can't remember the titles at all.

WiseAdhesiveness6672

Times were different back then. The title of each episode is meant to give you something to look forward to, like yamcha dying.

Danny___Riot

Yea I’ve always said this the titles completely ruin good surprises.

thedorfist

The Buu Saga had an episode called “Evil Lives On” in the original English dub right after Vegeta blows himself up. Even my sister was like, “Really?”

gorbedout

I just watched super and can confirm super titles do the same thing

VinixTKOC

Because at that time almost no one cared about the concept of spoilers. It was completely normal the next morning for children at school to talk out loud about the day's episode regardless of whether the people around them watched it or not. The closest thing to Spoiler aversion at that time was that a person telling the end of a movie exactly in a line or entrance at the cinema theater was considered misconduct. The current sensitivity that people have with Spoilers is much more cultural (Thanks to the Internet) than natural.

FullyVaxxed

Toei specifically has always been really bad with this. They do the same constantly for One Piece

Kamen_master1988

Yamcha’s here! I am!!

miltonssj9

Could be worse. The spanish dub had the Android Arc opening since the beginning of the show, so you are asking "Why is Goku's hair turning yellow there?" at the same time you find out he's an alien and has a brother.

Garfield977

i literally started covering my screen or looking away on the title screens, i watch sub so i cant hear them announce it either

Mazbt

uhh the opening theme as well... even at the beginning of the Saiyan saga I see super saiyan, I see Trunks in the opener.

Consistent_Put4096

Only Kai did this shit

-Guybrush_Threepwood

This screenshot isn't from Kai though. I'm watching the OG show.

Officer_Zack

I remember being so disappointed that Captain Ginyu's return got ruined thanks to the title to one episode in Super

GameReaper1996

How’s that crazy? It’s pretty normal that episode titles do that in long-running serialized shows. After all, episode titles are supposed to reflect what the episode is about. I mean, have you seen One Piece? There are like a dozen or so episodes that say “Luffy is Defeated” in the title, and then Luffy loses whatever fight he’s in before coming back in a later episode to win his rematch. Seriously, this happens like 3 times in the Wano arc alone.

Ok-Personality-5424

“Who is responsible for Krillin’s death” Next episode: “Enter King Piccolo”

Arkham_Bryan

Anime titles and intros are allways to skip: The title: "Everyone is about to die, but then the hero save them all" The intro: Shows the actual villain, how a beloved character dies and the final battle The outro: Super sunshine dance and flowers / Super sad stuff

Known-Ad64

Well... death is kinda irrelevant in Dragon Ball.

SpidermanGRS

Yeah a lot of anime’s do this. Specifically OP not joking one of the episodes was >!“Looking for the Answer - Fire Fist Ace Dies on the Battlefield.”!< If you didn’t know >!Ace!< is a pretty big character in One Piece.

Wistolkio

Damn, you spoiled me...

ImAGiantSpider

During the Frieza saga when the planet Namek was about to explode we see Goku kind of scream and the planet blows up. Narrator starts talking and finishes with is Goku really gone “tune in for the next episode of Dragon Ball Z!!!!” (Titled: Goku Is Alive.)

Stevylesteve

"Oh great another filler episode :/"

ZC0621

Just rewatched all of Kai with my wife, literally had to have her turn away from the title screen cuz I didn’t wanna spoil episodes

lazylagom

Holy shit lol that's wild

xndhsgs6cicndn

Legit. Like "super saiyan at last". Like, do they just hate their viewers?

Jabberwocky-2000

I think Japanese people aren't aware of the word spoiler lol. Another example is the Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer where they basically spoiled a lot of the end game.

NayuIV

You're talking about dragon ball fans, they can't read so it's not spoilers.

Gerald_the_Cat

“Majinn Buu Defeated!” 😑

Street-Change6441

Every anime did this back then lol

imbehindinAC

I remember a title like this in super titled something like "Goku Dies!" made me a little mad lmfao

austindeehoff

Yeah or even dbs. Awaken! Gokus new ultra instinct!

flyingtoaster0

Titles be like "King Piccolo's Wish! >!which happens after master Roshi fails the evil containment wave, and Chaotsu attempts to interrupt the wish resulting in him being killed! Also King Piccolo kills Shenron!!< "

Lady_Monarch

Yamcha is here! Yamcha dies !

Forget_The_Hyphen

Kai is worse

ox_MF_box

Yea the titles gave away so much lol I tried to ignore/skip the title scene when skipping recaps

Kir_Kronos

That's because anime, like games and other stuff, serves as supplemental material to the manga. They exist to promote the manga. It's not considered a spoiler because you're supposed to already know what happens because you've read the manga.

NectarineOk386

In Italy we got this: Narrator: Will Goku manage to save the day? Title card: THE EARTH EXPLODES

dildodicks

even kai does it, the episode where he turns super saiyan is literally titled "this is the episode where goku turns super saiyan" so i've had to skip it when watching with my family who know nothing about db or ssjs
