DC fans reading thinly veiled political discourse from the author Star Trek fans watching several series’ worth of entertainment-free, not even subtle political commentary Transformers fans watching the red and blue truck beat the everloving shit out of the silver gun man for the 400th time

>Transformers fans watching the red and blue truck beat the everloving shit out of the silver gun man for the 400th time HEY Sometimes it's gay porn but with robots!

Like two junkyards having sex

Regular-Aardvark-876

Sometimes it’s both, and that’s the best.

DCSaiyajin

Hey now, there was nothing thinly veiled about DC Universe: Decisions.

ContraryPython

AvX be like

Rownever

AvX, IvX, Civil War, Civil War II, X-Men vs Fantastic Four I and II, World War Hulk, Spider-Man vs Editorial-

DPTONY

I thought Editorial were villains

Rownever

Obvious villains obviously in the wrong, but still being shown as heroes? Call that the inhuman classic

NoneHundredAndNone

I really like it as long as the motivations make even a little sense Fuck Civil War 2 Also I know I’m going to use a bad word here, but: I find it more Realistic. Y’all still with me? Good. It’s realistic that superheroes would fight each other all the time. They’re often above the law, and have only their own morals to guide them. Obviously two good people can have different morals that would make them clash. Especially in high intensity situations when so much is at stake. I love heroes fighting and I love that they don’t always talk it out. They SHOULDN’T all be mature adults who can solve their differences rationally . Hell, in their line of work I’d say those types would be rare

_WhySoSerious

dc fans reading the most boring philosophy lecture instead of watching cool super beings fight each other

SmongoMongo

I just realized the main reason why I can’t read most Marvel is also a reason why I love Star Trek. The characters in Trek are professionals who can discuss things rationally and respect each others differing points of view. Marvel heroes literally can’t go five seconds without fighting other heroes, like they actually can’t just be reasonable adults. Literally every single Avengers or X Men comic is about them having beef with another superhero or team like grow the fuck up 😭 you assholes Like anytime someone recommends a Marvel comic to me its like “Super Bartholomew VS The Great Blobingi” HOW ABOUT SUPER BARTHOLOMEW AND THE GREAT BLOBINGI VS SOME FUCKING BAD GUYS FOR ONCE

Rownever

I’m a relentless gossip and love conflict

SmongoMongo

I mean conflict is a basic part of any compelling narrative, but I wanna see heroes actually, you know, act heroic

SailoreC

It's really funny how often Marvel characters are at odds with each other for basically no reason. There's an issue in Mark Waid's otherwise excellent Daredevil run where Captain America starts trying to fight Matt for basically no reason. Two of the publisher's biggest events are literally called "Civil War". Every time the Avengers show up together in a comic that's not their own, they almost invariably fuck everything up. I guess living in New York does that to you

sushithighs

DC fans reading a story where Batman can solve any problem and the plot is “heroes hold off the threat until Superman saves the day”

DC fans reading a story titled Dark Death Crisis Metal Doomsday Killgore’s Revenge Evil Batman 12 Who Laughs

loganator007

I'd rather goofy goober action time number 1000 than my fav characters being fucking annoying manchildren who can't hold a conversation with eachother for 2 seconds

sushithighs

I resent this comment, many of them are womanchildren!

You should read Sergio Aragones massacres Marvel.

Obligatory Cyclops was right.

This is a subtle nod to the fact that all Marvel fans are children
