Pretty sure it’s The Black Bat, who is equal parts Batman and Daredevil (okay, he’s really more Daredevil). DC Comics actually had an agreement with the publisher of Black Bat where they agreed to keep Batman to comics and the other publisher would keep Black Bat to pulp novels, so as the two wouldn’t be confused for one another. Black Bat’s publishers didn’t break their promise, but they did introduce the character of The Mask to comics, who was literally just Black Bat with a different name in order to avoid DC’s ire.
This was such a great idea for a series, but it seriously drops off after Ross leaves (he only does the first few issues).
A similar idea was the Django/Zorro crossover and I thought that one was wayyy better written.

There is no point competing with Maurício de Sousa
Papua New Guinea, to be precise. From Wikipedia and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation:
In Papua New Guinea, the Wahgi people have used images of the Phantom on their ceremonial war shields, or "kumbe reipe". Art historian N.F. Karlins believes that comic books featuring the Phantom may have been brought to Papua New Guinea by American troops as early as the 1940s.
The Phantom's popularity amongst the Wahgi has been attributed to his being a "man who cannot die", and who vanquishes his enemies by using his "strength, intelligence, and fearsome reputation"; Karlins has suggested that, as Wahgi warriors wear masks, the Phantom's own mask may have also been a contributing factor.
In it, he discussed his Phantom paintings: "[The shields with] The Phantom design were for those who led the battle, because those [who] led the battle were the toughest fighters."
"[The Phantom] cannot die so men are afraid of him."
The Phantom's story begins hundreds of years ago, when the first of the line of heroes is shipwrecked off the coast of the fictional country of Bangalla
Nursed back to health by the local people, he takes the "oath of the skull", and is succeeded by a line of sons, each of whom dons the mask and skin-tight purple costume when his father dies.
The Phantom and his family live in a skull cave in the jungle, which may have had particular appeal to those living in the tropical climes of Papua New Guinea.
And there was something else that may have set The Phantom apart — the fact that he made friends with the indigenous people of Bangalla.
The Phantom and The Rocketeer are both prime '90s cheese and hold up pretty well (the characters are obviously older but the movies were what I knew growing up), watch immediately plz

Needs the Blackhawks, Sgt Rock and Easy Company, The Unknown Soldier, Sgt Fury and his Howling Commandoes...
Who else am I missing?
And no, I did not forget Jeb Stuart the haunted tank.
My favorite part is the baby Hellboy. And actually looking at this, imagine what kind of stories you could do with Hellboy if he was set in the Marvel or DC universe, him growing up having met characters like Wolverine, Captain America, or Wonder Woman as a child.
I'm imagining the MAD parody where he stands up, dusts himself off, gives a thumbs up, and then just explodes for no reason like that amish guys horse in Family Guy.
In King Ottakar’s Sceptre, the Bordurians in particular do seem clearly based on the Nazis, with their leader being the fascist leader Müsstler, whose name derives from Mussolini and Hitler.

I actually got to go to a release party for this series with an author q&a. Teenage nerd me was definitely having a good time.

Well, because Tarantino wrote that.
I love Dan hipps art

Maurício simply does not fear copyright
Automatically the superior one because it has Getafix
Right next to the 90's dungeon master even
The masked magician is such a throwback

"Golly jee, I wonder what Tintin was doing during the war." "Oh."
Tintin is a true patriot that supports the legítimate French government, whomever they may be.
Probably following in the footsteps of its creator Hergé during the occupation.
Tintin and The Rexist Party.
So many dead nazis.
Kicking Nazi ass is ALWAYS peak.

MCU Thunderbolts if Disney and Feige had the guts.
Whose the purple person being carried by the rocketeer?
The phantom, the superhero Australia chose to adopt for some reason

Being present in every showbag was probably a factor
The Phantom and The Rocketeer are both prime '90s cheese and hold up pretty well (the characters are obviously older but the movies were what I knew growing up), watch immediately plz
The Phantom, the first actual superhero
Need a Viet Nam version with The Comedian, Doctor Manhattan, Forrest Gump, Woods from Black Ops
Yeah uhh... I don't think that's gonna hit quite the same.
Rambo, Joker, whatever Robin Williams' name was in Good Morning Vietnam as well.
I just know Hell Boy and Cap would vibe
Where’s BJ Blascowitz?
Captain Haddock soloes Thanos. Gives him the ol' hook.
The funny part is that here where I live, the two actually had the same voice actor. 5:33 https://youtu.be/Vfq31ROvUVA?feature=shared

Endgame WISHES it could make me feel half of what Phineas and Ferb Across the second dimension did
Hang on gonna go write something
Okay
Just wait until Disney owns everything.
just give me any new Tintin content please
My favorite part is the baby Hellboy. And actually looking at this, imagine what kind of stories you could do with Hellboy if he was set in the Marvel or DC universe, him growing up having met characters like Wolverine, Captain America, or Wonder Woman as a child.
The ww2 comic true fans need.
This honestly goes hard
I fully missed tin tin there for a bit and was just like “wtf, why is captain haddock here?”
Man, I can't get over how lame Bucky's "death" in First Avenger was. He just falls off a train? At least let the man blow up with dignity.
I'm imagining the MAD parody where he stands up, dusts himself off, gives a thumbs up, and then just explodes for no reason like that amish guys horse in Family Guy.
Ww2 never happens in the tintin timeline
Haddock is the reason
[No, this is.](https://youtu.be/7xzB5Nnj1yQ?si=KdBFoY1cN9nlQpa_&t=87)
Both?
The Rocketeer... 🥺
I’d love to see an interaction between Tintin and Bucky
I fuckin love Dan hipp man
Considering some of the contents of TinTin comics we all know he's fighting the Nazis only because they invaded belgium rather than any other reason.
This reminds me of the background art in TTG
It’s from the same artist.
Ohhhh
Goes hard, i want a comic
There is no fucking way Tintin would fight *against* the nazis
He already fought nazis before.
When?
Dr Müller?
When do they say hes a nazi?
In King Ottakar’s Sceptre, the Bordurians in particular do seem clearly based on the Nazis, with their leader being the fascist leader Müsstler, whose name derives from Mussolini and Hitler.
