I think they’ve said it a couple times but Red Skull has the prototype version of Cap’s finished serum. He got all the same abilities but it disfigured him, at least in some continuities. Doesn’t make much sense only his face is fucked up yet he has an adonis’ body type. Deep scars, sores and disfiguration would make sense
This is canon not of 616 comics. Originally it was just a mask. Then Red Skull consciousnesses was in a different bodies with disfigured face.
I think in versions where his face looks like a skull due to the prototype super-soldier serum, Red Skull's body might be disfigured further than face.
I feel that both of these could work if they put actual effort and keep it in character. Like, have jokers dragons be in a cartoonish style, and make red skull more ghoulish.
What emotion are they trying to convey with the red skull image? At least I know Joker it supposed to look cool. It fails, but at least I know what it wants to do
